I was charged 80$ despite trying to cancel my membership several times. This is shocking that a company can scam you like this. Every time i reach out to customer support its a robot that cant locate my account.. if you can't locate my account, how are you charging me $80?

I used a Recharge City kiosk for what I understood to be a one-time portable phone charger rental, paying an initial fee of $10.88. However, it was not made clear during the transaction process that I was signing up for an ongoing subscription.

As a result, I was automatically enrolled in a monthly billing cycle and charged $19.99 per month for 10 consecutive months, totaling $199.90.

Managing or canceling this charge is very difficult because the company does not list a customer support phone number or a support email address on their public website. Instead, the system requires you to use their mobile app to handle billing issues. If you do not have or use the app, finding a way to stop the charges is incredibly challenging.

If you're in the city a lot the subscription is worth it imo but I always cancel mine before traveling and then sign up again when I get back.

I had to pay for an hour for $10 when I was in New York City and it was really slow to charge. I was at a restaurant and I had finished my meal and it only charged 25%. Then a week later after my visit to NY, I checked my credit card and saw another charge for $10 and another charge for $2110 so I had to cancel my card.

Used recharge city twice already no issues both times

Forced me to download a barely functioning application instead of allowing me to process it through a website. After I downloaded the app, the payment process didn’t even let me put my card info in. Complete waste of my time and battery.

I swear google maps eats my battery faster every year this helped a lot

The built-in cables are honestly my favorite part. I never remember to bring my own charger anyway.

SCAMMERS!!! Absolutely horrible costumer service and just overall as a company. When I went to purchase a one time use, it only allowed me to pick a subscription. I accidentally clicked okay and now I have a charge of $67 for a subscription I never wanted. Costumer service is rude and refuses to issue me a refund, even after I said I would pay for my usage.

I rented one near Bryant Park and returned it downtown after work. Love that you don't have to bring it back to the same place.

i have been using Recharge.city for the past six mounths while traveling across Europe and Asia, and it has completely changed how i stay connected. The process is incredibly simple: installation instrctions almost instantly.

worked fine. that's it. nothing dramatic but yeah it helped

Was running errands downtown and my phone was fighting for its life. Grabbed a charger at Kesté Pizza on Fulton St, handled my business, and returned it at 77 Burger down in FiDi. The charge speed is legit fast, got me from 10% to 60% in like half an hour

The monthly sub is mad cheap and you can grab a fresh battery anywhere in NYC

I was at House of Yes on Wyckoff recording a set, and my phone was on 1% right before I needed an Uber. Grabbed a Recharge bank from the lobby, and literally dropped it off later at 3 Dollar Bill on Meserole. The subscription model is clutch for BK nightlife

Forgot my wall adapter at the hotel. Rented a bank near Times Square, charged my phone and my girlfriend's vape, and dropped it off in Soho. Best money spent on this trip

I found this service to be incredibly convenient and exceptionally reliable. It was an absolute lifesaver the other night while I was out in Brooklyn and my phone battery had suddenly dropped down to 1%. The entire process was completely seamless and user-friendly: I simply scanned the QR code at the station, grabbed a power bank, and I was instantly good to go without any delays. I was also highly impressed by how fast the power bank actually charged my device compared to others I have used in the past. Overall, it was an excellent and completely hassle-free experience. I highly recommend this practical solution to anyone who finds themselves caught out with a low battery.

So glad I found this app! It's incredibly easy to use. I just scanned the code, got the battery and dropped it off at a different station near my subway stop on the way home.The power bank was fully charged and had all the built-in cables.10/10 experience
