We have had the big pleasure of traveling for a week with the guide and driver Shan. It has been a great experience and Shan is so kind and serviceminded, he has taken so good care of us, he has arranged trips, cooking classes etc. A 5 star+ experience! We give our best recommendation of Shan and Rediscover Journeys Sri Lanka.

from rediscover, modtog os i lufthavnen 2.marts25, vi ville aldrig have fået så mange oplevelser hvis ikke Sanjaya, have været med os rundt, vi skulle bare slappe af og nyde rundturen på Sri Lanka.

We have just finalised our 8 day tour of Sri Lanka, where Shan safely drove us through Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella and Galle. Shan overdeliveres by showing us sigths and places that was not on our original itinirary. We higly recommends Shan. There was frish fruit and water in the car he is a fantastic driver and good company. He knows people everywhere, 2 friends helped him so we got the best seats on our way to Kandy. We highly recommend Shan and we hope to meet him again one day

On our journey here in Sri Lanka we have had the pleasure of having Sampath Perera as our guide and driver. During our sightseeing in Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella and Udawalawa Nationalpark, he always has tackled every situation with an elegant expertise. He is a safe driver and can manage to drive everywhere. Somehow he always find a place to you in the first row, when you are on sightseeing. We have enjoyed his knowledge about everything in Sri Lanka.Sam is a very kind person with a wonderfull sense of humor. We can highly recommend Sam as a driver and as a guide.

We turn to the company for help in planning our trip to Sri Lanka. They were knowledgeable, service minded and came up with good suggestions for both itinerary, activities and hotel. Fantastically pleasant to communicate with. They always responded quickly to all our inquiries. We toured with our driver and guide Shan, for six days. He contributed in many different ways to making this trip a memory to last a lifetime. He was pleasant, extremely service minded and helped us so that everything just "flowed". Das erste Mal mit der ganzen Familie auf Sri Lanka - und es war spitze. Die Agentur schickte uns ihren besten Reisebegleiter, nämlich Ushan. Der brachte uns sicher und mit vielen Informationen ausgestattet durch die Insel. Sein Engagement war außerordentlich, zuletzt auch bei der Ausrichtung eines Geburtstages im Dschungel. Had a great 2 weeks with a guided tour through Sri Lanka. Uhsan, our guide, took care of everything and showed us - on top of the major tourists attractions on our tour - small factories, street food and even took care of left behind things at a hotel super quickly. It was an unforgettable vacation.

We have had the best guide and driver, Mr. Sampath, for 8 days in Sri Lanka. He has shown us the most beautiful places in and around Ella, Kandy and Sigiriya. Mr. Sampath knows an incredible amount about the country, culture and religion and gave us some fantastic experiences and memories that we take home with us.
Along the way we had contact with the company and Mr. Rasith, who also was very helpful.
We can highly recommend Rediscover with Mr. Rasith and driver/guide Mr. Sampath.

Our highest recommendations for our guide Sanjaya and Rediscover Journeys.

It has been a fantastic experience traveling with Sanjaya and Rediscover.
They have enhanced the content of the trip by constantly adapting the program to our wishes, and giving us the opportunity to make new and additional plans all along, even for the next morning. They use the best guides, safe companies, with good jeeps, seatbelts and insurance, and life jackets on the boat ( we saw other companies who didn’t use them)
They found a personal history guide at the impressive temple ruins in Sigiriya.
We made new plans several times, making new stops on the way, making it possible to see even more temples, a whole extra jeep safari that was far better than the one we had booked from home, moved the times so that despite the tight program, we still managed to fit in a whale safari.
All of this has only been possible because our super guide Sanjaya who always was on top of the task and cooperated with the office on booking tickets in advance, so that we got seats and did not stand in queues.
When we were completely finished with the many things we squeezed in, he stopped and bought fresh fruit in selected stalls, and even small delicious pancakes with coconut cream, all completely fresh and without an upset stomach.
He has made it a particularly good trip, by sharing his knowledge about the culture, religions, history and incredible knowledge about the animals we saw on the road - just stopping when he had spotted an elephant, a large Cobra, crocodiles, special birds, etc.
He is also a good and safe driver who, with his calmness and patience, has brought us smiling and safely through traffic that is somewhat chaotic.
He has a gentle, positive and very pleasant mood which has also been a big part of the good experience.
We therefore definitely give Sanjaya and Rediscover Journeys our best recommendations 6 stars out of five.

Wir haben eine Familienreise gebucht und die Zusammenarbeit war von Beginn an hervorragend. Die Reiseplanung war durchdacht und entsprach unseren Vorstellungen voll und ganz. Unser Fahrer und Reisebegleiter war Uhsan, der mit seiner guten Laune, seinem Wissen und seinem Netzwerk uns immer zir Seite stand und uns perfekt betreut hat. We have just been treated to ten days of amazing service from Rediscover Sri Lanka by our driver and guide Janith on a trip around Sri Lanka…way more than we anticipated … recommendations from us to us Rediscover Sri Lanka/Janith for any kind of experience on this beautiful island/country. 🙏🏻

Our driver met us in the airport and from that, everything just went as smooth as a clockwork. The driver was very knowledgeable about Sri Lankan history, culture and landmark’s. He wa always smiling on time and performed save driving. He was taking care of everything for us, very recommendable company.

Everything was perfectly planned for our honeymoon! Initially we dealt with Rasith who gave us multiple travel options as we already had our route and hotels planned. Everything was clearly laid out for us with suggested activities at each step of our journey and he couldn't have done more to accommodate us. When we arrived in Sri Lanka we were greeted by our guide Surendra and we could not be happier. He is the most lovely, friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable guide and with him we have met not only an expert guide but a friend for life! Cannot recommend using Surendra enough, he made an already special event in our honeymoon even more special throughout and we were so sad to finally say goodbye. For sure we will come back to Sri Lanka and for sure we will be using Rasith/Rediscover Journeys and Yaya Surendra.

Different Discovery / Rediscover Journeys Sri Lanka helped us put together a wonderful 16 day tour of Sri Lanka.
We were greeted with a big smile by our guide and driver Ushan upon arrival in Colombo.
Ushan has taken us on an exciting and varied tour of Sri Lanka. Ushan has been a good guide and excellent driver - always in a good mood and with great knowledge of Sri Lankan history and culture.

Waruna, our helpfull driver, has made our journey much better by his carying. And allways with a smile. He told us a lot about Sri Lanka. Both political, historical and social.

We have been shown all what we were promised and more to as our guide Manoj from REDISCOVER Sri Lanka acted with great enthusiasm, respect and drove responsibly all time. He fit in with our way of thinking.
Especially he got some of the best places as we were going for the Cultural Dance in Kandy even there was sold out. Our wish for Elephant Safari he got a perfect solution for.

We had REDISCOVERSRILANKA company to fix our hotels snd experiences in Sti Lanka for 10 days. We had the best time. Rasitha Gunarathna had arranged a great trip for us. And he kept us updated and informed during our stay. Our driver and guide Chamar Fernando was the best. A good and safe driver and very updated on history of the country and places we visited.
