We had our trip in Sri Lanka planned by Rediscover and were satisfied with the selection of hotels and the programme. Our guide, Thushara, was extremely knowledgeable and skilled which added to the experience. Everything ran like clockwork.

It was the first time I traveled with a guide. It was a great experience because everything was planned and organized by the guide. It made a lot of things easier. I really enjoyed my vacation. My guide Manoj was great. He was able to show me and tell me a lot about Sri Lanka.

We have just spent 10 wonderful days discovering Sri Lanka with “Rediscover”Lanka. Our sincere thanks to Chandima who crafted a tour that was well priced and perfectly suited to us. The accommodation, food and activities were spot on and our smiling driver / guide Sanju was the perfect companion. What really stood out was both their personal attention to detail, local contacts and obvious love for their country. At every stop we felt privileged that we were able to connect with real Sri Lankans at a grassroots level and appreciate their wonderful country. Thanks so much. We will be back!!

I have been on a fantastic Sri Lanka tour with a private driver/guide. It's a totally relaxing way to travel. I enjoyed the laid back form of travelling, where the guide take care of all the practicalities.
The guide's planning made every day full of fantastic experience. And the guide was very accommodating in relation to my wishes for every days plan. For example, the guide suggested a village tour in Sigiriya, and because I didn't feel like driving with cattle cart - the guide found a tuk-tuk instead.
The guide was very clever speaking English, and is very easy to understand.
My guide Surendra was also very well educated, with excellent knowledge of the country's history. Both the past and the present. He was able to answer all my questions about Sri Lanka.
The guide also provided for nice places to have lunch - according to my request. And guidance also me to pharmacy and wine shop. And also assisted with translating when I needed it.

In addition to the planned sightseeing, the Guide suggested going to various shopping opportunities. Such as: Silk shop, spice plantation with sale of natural medicine/Ayurveda. Wood art, batik clothing shop and jewelery shop. You should be aware that you can say no thanks - to theses places, if you do not want to buy items! Personally im
happy with the fine souvenirs I bought.

The train Tour to Ella, was different from my expectations: My seat was on 1. Class with AC. And felt kinda tourist train... I would had prefered a more local authentic train, where i could open the windows. I guess rediscover wants to offer as much comfort as possible to the klient.
All in one im very satisfied and happy for every thing my guide Surendra did to contribute that my trip with Rediscover Journeys became a fantastic magnificent memorable holiday in Sri Lanka.

The guide Moditha Desilva helped Stjernegaard on the trip to SriLanka. He gave good and inspiring information with his great knowledge and big smile. Allways helpfull with a good advice.

I participated in a travel group with a smaller number of participants, where I got answers from the guide to all my questions and the questions that the guide couldn't immediately answer, he researched and returned with the answer.

Fantastic Experience with Stjernegaard and Depal in Sri Lanka!

We had the absolute pleasure of exploring Sri Lanka with our incredible guide, Depal. From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in great hands. Depal was not only an excellent driver but also a wealth of knowledge about Sri Lanka’s culture, history, religion, and everyday life.

He shared fascinating stories and insights that added so much depth to our journey. His passion for his country was evident in every detail he shared, making the experience both educational and inspiring. Depal’s professionalism, friendliness, and attention to our needs made our trip seamless and enjoyable. A keysaying of his throughout our stay with him was "as long as you're happy, I'm happy" and you could feel that he meant it.

We felt completely safe and comfortable throughout, and his suggestions for places to visit and local experiences were spot on. Sri Lanka is a stunning country, and having someone as knowledgeable and kind as Depal made it unforgettable. Even though we experienced terrible weather, Depal came to the rescue with several suggestions of things to see or try - absolutely super.

If you're planning a trip to Sri Lanka, we cannot recommend this company—and Depal in particular—enough. A five-star experience all around!

We had very high expectations for this roundtrip of Sri Lanka. Our expectations were exceeded! Everything was planned to perfection and the smallest issue was immediately attended to and solved. The hotels we stayed at were all very nice and clean and the food was impeccable. Our local guide Moditha went out of his way to give us the best possible experience. He was very knowledgeable and gave us deep insight in Sri Lanka culture and history. His assistant was also very attentive and helpful and we felt very comfortable and safe with our driver. Driving in Sri Lanka is not an easy task!
We give our very best recommendation and will love to come back!

World’s Best Guide ! I’ve travelled all over the world and been to Sri Lanka before. Spent 12 days with Moditha travelling all over and learned so much about Sri Lanka. At EVERY step everything was taken care off.

We've spent an awesome time in Sri Lanka with a wonderful driver. Tushara always drove safeky. Additinally he could tell us a lot about history, culture, nature and animals. Fantastic customer experience

We (family with 3 kids) have spent a 20-day private-guided tour through Sri Lanka travelling in a mini-bus with guide Nalin from Rediscover Sri Lanka. The travel program put together and organized by the company fully met our expectations. We were presented a very varied travel program that offered a good balance between culture, history, nature, fun and leisure and the hotels and guesthouses we visited were all super-nice. Throughout travelling daily communication between the company and our guide assured top service quality. Thanks to our guide Nalin we learned so much about this beautiful country, its people, nature and food; a true Sri Lanka ambassador! Our special needs and wishes during travelling were fully complied with. Travelling in the spaceous and comfortable mini-bus felt always safe. Thanks to the entire Rediscover Sri Lanka team for making this journey an unforgettable memory.

Lucky organized everything real well and also gave us some tips. Thushara was our Guide/Driver and we learned so much about the Country, people and animals here. We had an amazing time with him!

We are a family (2 adults and 2 child), they are super availability, any change you do they try to do the best to make it.. They don’t push in any decision but they propose better solution. They have super clean car and very efficiently. Our driver was Nalinda very efficient man!!

Perfect vehicle for a group of 7 people.
Nalinda has been our driver, very careful in driving and fulfilling all our request and needs. And also good in suggesting places to visit that we didn't know. We absolutely recommend RediscoverSriLanka and Nalinda as a driver.

Our holiday with our driver/guide Ranjan was wonderful. He is a very likeable person, drives very safely and calmly and makes sure that his guests are happy at all times. We were impressed by how much he was able to show us about Sri Lanka and how much he knows about the country and its culture. He even kept stopping at the roadside to offer us local fruit and food. He always took care of everything and made sure that we were doing well so that we could enjoy our holiday to the full. If it were possible, we would even give it 6 stars. We had a very nice experience with this company and with Nalin as a driver. Nalin was very friendly, good at speaking English and even though the traffic here can be busy we always felt safe driving with him. When driving with Nalin it feels like driving with a friend. He showed us a lot of beautiful places and nature and had a lot of interesting inputs on local places and restaurants to visit. He often stoped to show us animals like different birds and elephants and local fruits to try.
We would definitely recommend this company and Nalin.
