I have had a very good experience with Remit Home, the transfer process is swift and straight forward. The transfer rates are very competitive some of the highest on the market. I would recommend this company for transfers to Ghana. I can not comment on different destinations as I have only used Remit Home to transfer to Ghana.
The chat facility is very use and you always get a prompt reply to any quieries.
The App is easy to set up and verify.
I would recommend this App highly.

If only I had read the reviews online first!!!!!
I was sending money home for an emergency surgery for a relative.
The notification on the app said delivered but my family had not received this yet. I called to speak with them after two hours of waiting for my family to receive the money.
I was told a big lie saying the recipients account couldn’t receive an amount of that magnitude and that as a solution I should send another to account and they can assure me of that transaction going through. Sadly that too took more than 2 hours and anytime I called them my call gets hanged up. No one would answer my call to even explain what is happening to me.
I am now told the last transaction is compliance held and I should provide some documents which I have. Money still hasn’t gone through, I had to find money and send through other medium and ask them to refund my unpaid transaction. These guys are telling me now that it will take 10 days to refund!!!
How is this acceptable?

Did 3 transfers with them on 3 separate occasions. 1st one was successful and got good rates but yes that was the trap. I went back to do 2 more transfers and it was a disaster. The money was for my mother's medical bills n boy was I wrong. First transfer was delayed for a few days, I kept ringing and messaging and every time I get the same response from them
"Dear Customer,
We will raise your issue with the payout partner in Ghana. Once we receive any update, we will inform you." Copy and paste responses all the time. I was told payment failed so they need payment details which I provided but still same response. I finally got them to cancel the first transfer and refund which took 3 weeks to get my money. I didn't learnt my lesson the first time I went ahead and did another transfer with them all cos their rates pulled me in and it was even worse than the first one. I had to request a refund after so many stories even had to file a chargeback report with my bank and also report the issue with the financial ombudsman after several emails, calls and app messages with them back and forth. I got money back after almost 5 weeks. Since then I learnt my lesson and deleted the app. This was my worse experience I have had since 2013 when I started using remittance app in the UK to Ghana even got my blood pressure n anxiety levels to go up as the amounts weren't small amount n also for my mother's medical bills.

Other money exchange & apps takes without any issues within the few seconds money transferred
We not recommend others because of high risk & no Guarantee no safe & secure

Avoid them completely. Attractive rates but your transfer wouldn’t reach the receipient. They will come up with so many “kok”-and-bull stories when you chase. Such as issues with payment partner, issues with receiver details etc. After having your money for weeks, you will be forced to ask for a refund which will take about 7 days. This leaves you out of cash for some weeks and if the exchange rate is falling, that is a double loss for you. Avoid them please. The real definition of all that glitters isn’t gold!!

Urgent Complaint – Delayed Transfer (Reference: MWGH81201737)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to raise an urgent complaint regarding a money transfer I made earlier today which has still not been received by the recipient.
The transfer was made at 14:00 today, reference MWGH81201737, for the amount of GHS 1,000 (GBP 64.10). It is now 19:45, and the funds have still not been received, despite the transaction showing as delivered. This payment was made to cover an urgent medical expense, which makes the delay extremely concerning.
I would appreciate an immediate update on the status of this transaction and confirmation of when the funds will be released. If the money cannot be received today, I request that a full refund be processed without delay.
Please treat this matter as urgent.

Funds held, transaction not delivered
I had a very poor experience with Remit Home. My transaction was not delivered, yet the company continues to hold on to my money without issuing a refund.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve this directly, there has been no clear communication, no resolution, and no urgency shown. Holding customer funds without completing the service or refunding them is completely unacceptable.
This has caused significant stress and inconvenience, and I am now left with no option but to escalate the matter formally.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious before using this service, especially if you need your funds urgently.
