Replacement glass for Braun watch

Needed a replacement glass and strap for my Braun watch, RBP did a great job and went the extra mile by replacing the case. The repaired watch was returned well packaged and looked like new. Good communication throughout and reasonably priced. The repair took 8 weeks but was fine given the result.

RBP returned my grandfathers 100 year…

RBP returned my grandfathers 100 year old silver pocket watch to life after being neglected for many years.
It is now working perfectly and looking great.
They did a great job on this special watch.

Omega Watch Service

I had an Omega Watch serviced. Communication was excellent, all questions answered promptly and an update provided at each stage. Postage there and back was quick. The Watch was serviced professionally, also cheaper and quicker than my previous experience with the main dealer. I would thoroughly recommend Repairs By Post and will be using them again.

Repair to my Porsche Design…

Needed a repair to my Porsche Design watch which couldn't be performed locally. Was initially a bit nervous about sending my watch off in the post.
The whole business of sending, repairing and returning was controlled by Repairs by Post and was therefore straightforward for me.
During the process communication was excellent.
My watch has been repaired, I would definitely use R by P again in future.

Festina watch repair completed to my…

Festina watch repair completed to my satisfaction. It was returned very well packed. It did take nearly 2 months from start to finish for repairs to be completed which I thought was too long. I would recommend though.

THEY USED TO BE GOOD!

I took my Omega De Ville watch to RBP for a new battery which was fitted within the hour - so far so good! An emailed receipt for the work failed to materialise despite assurances to the contrary. But after almost 35 years of faultless timekeeping the watch stopped within a short time. I emailed RBP several times who eventually promised to examine the watch and would provide a free shipping label but their rhetoric wasn't matched by facts. It took me many attempts before they finally emailed a 'link' to facilitate the return and to print a shipping label. When the email finally arrived it didn't include either a working 'link' nor the ability to print out a label. I complained about the poor service and like those before me I received a response intimating that extensive repairs may be needed. Having just been charged £50 to replace a tiny battery I was concerned what the cost of ‘extensive’ repairs would be! The question I ask myself is why would a high quality watch (Omega) which has worked faultlessly for over 35 years now need extensive and no doubt expensive repairs immediately after having its battery replaced! A 25% negative ratio from the last 21 reviews seems to be a high ratio and those reviews always seems to prompt the same response indicating that the customer is wrong! - really! - all of them? Anyway it’s not a problem any more - I popped open the back of the watch, blew on it and once again it’s a perfect timekeeper!! Incidentally the ‘other’ watch to which you refer is the SAME one - now who’s wrong?

We are sorry you have declined for us to assess the issues with your watch and decided that a 1-star review is appropriate.
We have to explain both sides of a repair experience which is replied to, as this one is also.
We are aware that your watch worked fine for 10-days before the issues arose. Our customer service team have constantly contacted you and explained that the issue might not be the battery we fitted in your 35-year-old watch. But as explained on numerous occasions, we need the watch back to assess the issue. Which your are not allowing us.

We emailed your original invoice and guarantee claim the same day and sent a copy of your invoice when requested throughout your communication.
In addition, we even offered and sent a Freepost label for a watch that FREEPOST does not cover as you brought it in.

I am sorry you find it better to use Trustpilot for negative reviews than positive and pleased that your other watch we completed is still running fine since 2021.

A full breakdown of work needed and timings were given. The watch came back serviced with a new glass and is looking and working as good as new.

First class service

From day one to the completion of my watch repair/service, I was kept updated and made aware of any issues.
Filling in the repair service form was straight forward and the relevant envelope arrived very swiftly. I was more than impressed with the repair and service and my watch looked first class considering my watch is 57 years old ( Purchased in Singapore in 1966 )
I would certainly recommend RBP to anyone who is considering a repair or service to their watch.

No good if your watch is water resistant.

I’ve had my watch for 33 years and wear it continuously including showering and swimming. It’s been serviced and had battery replacements many times always by operators who guaranteed water resistance checks. I sent my watch to Repairs by Post as it had stopped and the battery needed to be changed. It was entirely water resistant when I sent it. They returned it several weeks later. Their invoice listed the work done, including battery replacement and water resistance checks. The watch was working when it was returned but after my first shower I noticed condensation under the glass, something that had never happened before. I advised Repairs by Post and they agreed to examine it. They then advised me that the watch required a vintage service at 3 times the cost of their original repair! Needless to say I requested they return the watch and refund the original payment. They did the former and refused the latter.

We are sorry your expectations for a completely free repair under guarantee were not to your liking.

Your watch arrived back under guarantee with the original battery still fully powered.

As we explained, Your 33-year old movement had issues outside the battery maintenance service we initially provided and was not covered under your guarantee and required an upgrade to a full service. We offered the upgraded estimate, but unfortunately, it was refused as you never accepted your watch required further work.

We hope to see your watch soon so we can complete a repair as required.
