Excellent level of service from Ed! An incredibly thorough Level 2 survey (with particular care afforded to the potentially problematic roof). Even beyond the initial survey, Ed was kind enough to answer a few questions later in the purchasing process.

Responded very promptly to initial enquiry, and damp survey was arranged within a couple of days.
Ed was very professional, helpful and looked at a couple of extra areas on request. Note this was a ‘looking around the property’ type inspection using a moisture and humidity meter to test walls, take pictures internally and drone to take pictures externally. No invasive or other testing was done.

The report is detailed with lots of helpful pictures, some diagrams, clear instructions on rectifying issues and expected cost. Also included general advice on maintenance and upkeep which I find v useful
Service was good value, fairly priced.

Before using though I had gotten the internal hot, cold water and internal and external waste water pipes/sewers checked as well as the guttering checked. I had also found the damp proof course and measured it relative to external ground level. I’d also had salt analysis testing done separately so knew the cause of the moisture levels in the wall was rainwater not rising damp. I’d lifted some floor boards in the affected area to help with the inspection too.

Before using I’d recommend others do similar checks or get Ed to let you know what tests/checks need doing first as the inspection didn’t cover those things and that’s essential knowledge to have to hand to get the best out of the inspection

We didn't get a survey when we bought our house but before starting a renovation decided to get a survey to make sure we hadn’t missed anything. We were really impressed with the quality of the report and we certainly learnt things about the house that we hadn’t spotted ourselves. Ed helped us to focus on the order of jobs and provided some info on how to best use the reno funds. He went the extra mile and really went above and beyond

We ordered a survey of our roof after having the hassle of leaks in the November storms. The surveyor was excellent taking the time to explain things to us whilst at the house. We shared the report and the drone video to some roofers who sent quotes without having to get up ladders and visit. Getting more than one quote meant that the survey basically paid for itself as we weren’t getting charged for work that didn’t need doing and could shop around. So far no leaks!!

Edward carried out an exhaustive and very helpful survey, explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. The drone inspection was extremely useful and provided insights that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. He also recommended a structural engineer visit where appropriate, which gave me additional confidence. After receiving two detailed reports, I was able to negotiate a better purchase price. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Edward to anyone needing a comprehensive and professional survey.
