In the past year i've used River Crest Surveyors for two Level 3 RICS surveys & fully trust and rate the service they provide. Everyone i've spoken with; whether they're in sales, admin or one of the surveyors has always been friendly, polite and committed to giving a good service. I hope I don't have to use them any time soon, but will 100% recommend and use them for any future house moves.

This is the second time I’ve used Rivercrest. Booking the survey was easy and communications were timely and professional. Aruna was amazing - her feedback after the survey and follow up conversations were clear and helped me to better understand the implications of the survey findings.

We contacted River Crest Surveyors to ask for a Level 3 survey on a house we were considering buying. They were extremely helpful and efficient in organising the survey at short notice. The surveyor was able to provide us with a verbal debrief on the day of the survey, which was extremely helpful as we were able to question some of his findings directly at the time. This was followed up with the full survey shortly afterwards, which confirmed everything. The survey gave us all the information we needed to make a sensible decision on the purchase of the property and any remedial work that would be required should we decide to go ahead.

Went above and beyond. our surveyor was excellent. Not a stone left unturned in survey and was always available for any questions. everything was explained at length too which was a bonus. Our surveyors Name was Nitin and I could not recommend highly enough.

Navigating the home buyer survey process for the first time is tricky, but they made the entire experience effortless. Elliott was an exceptional point of contact always highly proactive, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The service was seamless, and the Level 2 report itself was incredibly comprehensive and easy to understand. I’d recommend River Crest to anyone needing a surveyor without hesitation.

Very impressed with the final report which was very detailed and easy to follow. There were some communication difficulties as we had to chase on numerous occasions to get the survey date booked in and the final report was delayed, but on the whole we are pleased with the service provided and the price was very competitive.

Elliott was very proactive in booking an appointment for the surveyor visit, taking real ownership of the process. The quality of the level 3 report we received from Nadia was excellent!

We recently engaged the River Crest team for a Level 3 Building Survey on a prospective property, and the experience was truly exceptional. This survey was not just a tick-box exercise; it was a deeply forensic examination of the property, providing us with total peace of mind before making a huge financial commitment.
The surveyor who attended was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous. They spent a substantial amount of time on site, and the resulting report was a masterpiece of detail. It was clearly laid out, well-structured, and included numerous high-quality photographs with clear annotations pinpointing issues ranging from minor maintenance to major structural concerns (damp, roof integrity, electrics, and insulation).
Crucially, the report didn't just highlight problems; it provided realistic estimates for repair costs and, most importantly, clear, actionable advice on the urgency of each issue. This allowed us to enter negotiations confidently and fully understand the long-term maintenance requirements of the building.
The cost of the Level 3 survey was an investment that has already paid for itself. If you are buying an older property or one with any complexity, do not settle for anything less than a River Crest Level 3 Survey. Highly, highly recommended.

Professional and efficient service received on a survey on a new home. Initial enquiry quickly responded to and survey was arranged and undertaken promptly. Prior to the survey I was contacted and asked if there were any areas of the issues that I wanted particular focus on and any general issues I wanted to raise. On the day of the survey I received a telephone call to give an initial assessment, followed up by a detailed draft report within 24 hours. This was followed by a final report around a week after. The survey (level 2) was thorough, detailed and did everything to give me peace of mind that the purchase I am making is right for me. Very pleased with the overall experience and would recommend to others.

The survey was booked online and completed in a very professional manner, would use again !

I’ve had an extremely positive experience with River Crest Surveyors. Especially Nitin, who has gone above and beyond with detail on his report for a potential property. He has also given extra expert advice so we can make informed decisions based on the findings of various reports. I would, without a doubt, recommend River Crest Surveyors to anyone who needs thorough survey on property.

Edit: not sure why you’ve edited your response asking us to contact you 4 months later? Just an update on our side Rivercrest ceased responding to us when we declined their offer of a £50 voucher for removal of this review.

Unfortunately our recent experience with Rivercrest does not echo the 5 star reviews we read before choosing them to complete a survey for us.

After 7 days we hadn’t received our draft report (they state a draft should be received within 24-48 hours) and so I began chasing, it took two days before I got a response. I was told it had already been sent- I double checked my emails and it was never received, nor in the online account. I was then told it would be sent and with me shortly- it never arrived. This was a Friday evening so I had to wait until the following Monday to call and ask again- this point being 2 weeks from when the survey was conducted. We were told it would be with us within 24 hours. Over 24 hours passed and we still had no sign of the draft (or final) report, and so we chased again- to which we were told someone was going to send it to us that night. Surprisingly it did not arrive. After finding the managing directors email and contacting him directly we finally received the report the following morning- 17 days after it was conducted. We never did receive a draft, and we also did not receive a call from the surveyor after he did the survey (something the website states the surveyor will do after finishing the survey- at some point. There was no attempt made) so we had no idea at all what to expect from our survey.

We do appreciate that sometimes things get delayed, but ultimately it was the awful communication and multiple lies that have left us with a really poor impression of Rivercrest. Honesty goes a long way and if we had just been informed that there was going to be a delay our expectations would have been managed. As most people know the house buying process is incredibly stressful and we specifically picked a surveying company with good reviews to ensure that we had one less thing to worry about.

The main thing that let them down was their poor communication and lack of honesty. The survey itself was detailed, but unfortunately the customer service we received was poor.
