Edit: not sure why you’ve edited your response asking us to contact you 4 months later? Just an update on our side Rivercrest ceased responding to us when we declined their offer of a £50 voucher for removal of this review.

Unfortunately our recent experience with Rivercrest does not echo the 5 star reviews we read before choosing them to complete a survey for us.

After 7 days we hadn’t received our draft report (they state a draft should be received within 24-48 hours) and so I began chasing, it took two days before I got a response. I was told it had already been sent- I double checked my emails and it was never received, nor in the online account. I was then told it would be sent and with me shortly- it never arrived. This was a Friday evening so I had to wait until the following Monday to call and ask again- this point being 2 weeks from when the survey was conducted. We were told it would be with us within 24 hours. Over 24 hours passed and we still had no sign of the draft (or final) report, and so we chased again- to which we were told someone was going to send it to us that night. Surprisingly it did not arrive. After finding the managing directors email and contacting him directly we finally received the report the following morning- 17 days after it was conducted. We never did receive a draft, and we also did not receive a call from the surveyor after he did the survey (something the website states the surveyor will do after finishing the survey- at some point. There was no attempt made) so we had no idea at all what to expect from our survey.

We do appreciate that sometimes things get delayed, but ultimately it was the awful communication and multiple lies that have left us with a really poor impression of Rivercrest. Honesty goes a long way and if we had just been informed that there was going to be a delay our expectations would have been managed. As most people know the house buying process is incredibly stressful and we specifically picked a surveying company with good reviews to ensure that we had one less thing to worry about.

The main thing that let them down was their poor communication and lack of honesty. The survey itself was detailed, but unfortunately the customer service we received was poor.

This is the second time I have used River Crest Surveyors and I have not been disappointed....it was all very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend their services

The survey was really detailed and the staff were very helpful. However although the draft survey was sent within 24 hours, the final report took about 2 weeks to complete.

Rivercrest recently did a survey for me on a property I am purchasing
I received plenty of communication regarding them booking the survey in with the estate agents and then a phone call on completion of the survey
Lots of photos and details in the draft report that arrived 48 hours later
More details to come and I have been put in direct contact with the surveyor who did it so I can go through some of the details a bit more, also really nice touch to include some averages in the reports or expectancies and references to compare against my own report.
Would use again in the future

We were very happy with all aspects of the service we were provided.

River crest (Sam) visited us today on behalf of our buyers for our property so they were not even their on our behalf. Sam was amazing and he was thorough. I have since contacted river crest to hire them for our own survey due to his professionalism and Elliot was also amazing in working with us on the price for our survey. Both are a credit to the company and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking to have a survey done.

Great to work with, survey completed quickly and with all the requested detail.

I recently used Rivercrest Surveyors for a Level 3 building survey. Aby that conducted the survey was excellent. He was polite, punctual and the survey he conducted went above and beyond.

The final written report was excellent, and gave me great evidence to negotiate a saving on a house asking price. My only slight complaint was the final report took longer than the published 5 days, because it got internally reviewed prior to release. That said, the final product I got was better as a result.

I would highly recommend this company, and especially Aby the surveyor.

This is the 2nd time I hired River Crest Surveyors to do a Level 3 Survey, both of which are exceptionally brilliant. During the first survey, Nitin Randev, the surveyor, did a fantastic job by pointing out all the necessary and immediate work that needs to be done on the property which made me decide to not proceed with the sale and eventually saved me a huge amount of money.

On the 2nd property, I had a brilliant experience again with River Crest Surveyors when arranging another Level 3 survey. From start to finish, the service was outstanding.

Nitin went above and beyond to accommodate my request to have the survey done as soon as possible—he didn’t hesitate to take on the job and even carried it out on a Sunday. The very next day, he called me personally to break down the issues and concerns, giving clear explanations and helpful recommendations for addressing the minor points.

I was also sent a draft of the report right away, which was extremely useful as it allowed me to raise queries with my solicitors promptly. The efficiency and thoroughness made the whole process much smoother and less stressful.

The River Crest Surveyors team were fantastic and very accommodating throughout, and I’m so grateful for their professionalism and hands-on support.

I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a reliable, knowledgeable, and client-focused surveyor.

I required an extremely urgent residential Red Book RICS Survey.
My surveyor from River Crest Surveyors - Mr Nivin Randev RICS - was beyond excellent in professional approach and client care.
After calling me to discuss the details he set off from Southampton after 6 pm to arrive in Frome , Dorset on site to begin his survey at approx 7.30 pm. As if this is not enough when I called him at 8 am this morning he had almost completed his report. I cannot applaud him more for all this detailed support and professionalism.
I would like to add the office and sales director in Bath had also been extremely helpful and understood my requirements.

I deal with builders as a developer and interior designer all the time and I really appreciate when someone understands urgency and is prepared to carry it out well after and before - office hours.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I cannot fault Nitin and his team at all. They were responsive, professional and efficient. We had multiple surveys complete including a help to buy repayment valuation. Nitin went out of his way to completely these quickly to help us get the application processed asap.
