Complete shambles from start to finish! I tried to make a booking for a hotel over 6 times and each time after my payment was approved got an error message about some problem at Roomer’s end!
I emailed customer service and got a mail back from John the customer service manager apologising and explaining that they would sort my booking out manually if I still wanted to proceed.
I confirmed I did……that is where the customer service ends!!! I never heard anything back despite me sending multiple follow up email to John and the customer service team!! They didn’t even have the good manner to reply at all!!!
None existent customer service and a platform that doesn’t work! A complete waste of time.

We booked 4 nights at the Venetian in Las Vegas. The hotel had no record of the reservation. We flew in and ended up having to pay an outrageous amount to stay. I tried contacting Roomer but couldn’t get through. Very unhappy!
Delayed confirmation, no customer service
I listed my room two days ago, emailed my confirmation per request, and it's been in a pending approval state ever since. Meanwhile I'm loosing precious time to sell. Not sure why the delay, but I thought I'd share my experience. No option to contact customer service either.

Are they a functioning company?
This is either a non functioning company or a company with no human employees. I placed a listing on April first. They sent me an email address to send confirmation of my booking. The email address DID NOT WORK (it bounced back) yet my listing was posted anyway. Then I opened a ticket to clarify the issue, and the only response I have received is the "thank you for reaching out" email and nothing since, even though I have added to the ticket every single day. They say they are a New York based company, but every response to these reviews has been in shaky, over the top English. Again, not a functioning company
More: OK, they responded, but only after I complained on trustpilot and not the 4 emails I had sent them before. Their entire business model is based on trust, then they fail at the very actions that establish trust. Who knows if they will be here tomorrow.

Roomer Stole From Me and Never Booked the Stay
I booked a stay with Roomer, and on the final page, it had auto filled the booking to today’s date and auto filled some random email address that doesn’t belong to me. I cant receive an email confirmation now obviously, and when I called the hotel to see if they could help on their end, they said there is no reservation under my name. I tried to confirm my phone number, hoping to receive confirmation there, but I’ve hit “resend code” 5 times now, and haven’t gotten anything. I’m so frustrated and freaked out.
Edit, March 27: Roomer responded and then promptly ghosted. They are not interested in resolving the issue.

Non-existent customer service. I booked a room advertised as free cancellation. When I needed to cancel I called the hotel first and they advised I had to go through the booking agent . Roomer has not responded after 4 emails & 2 phone messages.

I wish I had read the terrible reviews about how untrustworthy Roomer is with their clients money. I sold my hotel reservation through roomer relatively quickly at a much cheaper price than I paid. My experience is similar to the other complaints on here and i havent received my money or a decent response to my enquiries with them. I keep reaching out to them and get a bog standard automatic, yet friendly, reply from the 'roomer family' however I feel like an exploited half-cousin in reality. Beyond thanking me for contacting them, nothing happens. Still no money. Its sad as I thought this company was a great idea, but now I think they've designed the payment process for the seller in such a way as to create this issue. I want my money back. Please don't trust them as you will be out of pocket too.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience, I sold a room end of Jan and I still do not have payment it’s been a month since the room was used. I have chased for payment with a reply asking for my PayPal account then silence, weeks again no replies to emails and no payment made. Customer support is pathetic and I’m fuming I’ve not been paid my money yet when you’re selling your room they’re in constant contact for those details continuously. Absolutely pathetic that I’ve had no contact and no payment after 1 month.

J’ai réservé une chambre via Roomer avec annulation sans frais le 21 janvier pour un voyage prévu le 10 février. Amené à retarder mon voyage, j’ai demandé l’annulation le 31 janvier et donc le remboursement du versement effectué au moment de la réservation. J’ai téléphoné à de multiples reprises mais jamais personne ne répond même en laissant mon numéro, aucun rappel. J’ai envoyé des e-mails mais n’ai reçu que des réponses automatiques.
J’ai effectivement annulé directement auprès de l’hôtel en temps utile le 31 janvier pour ne pas être pris en défaut. Mais depuis un mois, toujours rien et surtout aucun remboursement. C’est inadmissible.
Après un contact direct, je viens ici modifier mon avis dans la mesure où, après ce message, Roomer a pris contact et a procédé au remboursement demandé. Je les remercie. Je mets une note moyenne compte tenu des délais et des démarches nécessaires. Mais il est clair qu’il faut faire attention.

I booked a room in Las Vegas for the New Year. Everything seemed fine until the hotel overcharged me at checkout. I told them that I already paid for my reservation through Roomer, and was confused as to why they were charging me again. The hotel stated that I had to then contact Roomer and have them contact the hotel for my refund. A month later & I still have not heard back from Roomer's customer service. I am out hundreds of dollars. The fact that Roomer cannot respond to a voicemail or email is beyond me. I am more upset about the lack of professionalism than anything. I will never use Roomer again because of this.
Update: after Roomer responded to this review publicly, they have yet to respond to me privately after I replied to them. Nice job trying to save face, Roomer. I caution anyone that uses them. You will get ripped off & their customer service won’t care!
