I sold my hotel stay for 2 nights in…

I sold my hotel stay for 2 nights in London which roomer sent me an email to say the payment would be in my bank in 10 days after the day of check out. It has now been 22 days after the day of checkout and I have still received nothing. I have emailed roomer twice and had no response. I would not recommend selling your hotel on this website.

Room credits

Hi, the first December I sent you a message directly in trustpilot after lot of emails directly by your address without answer.

Finally, you answered me directly in trust pilot you answered me well that I will get Roomer credits directly in my account for the inconvenience but since no one in my account...

This is my message :
"I did a reservation on your website on November 24th for a stay at the Nomads St Kilda in Melbourne from 27th November to December 4th.
I signed and paid for $38 per night and a total amount of $298.
I logged in and did my reservation FROM AUSTRALIA, so the money is the AUD$ and not the US$ .
I have never signed and gave my consent for US$298 or AUD$449,64.

I sent you several emails, without answer from your customer support. I need explanations urgently and I ask for the refund on my credit card of the difference, so AUD$ 151,64.

Do you realize I paid AUD$ 64 for one night in this hostel in a 4-Bed room ? This is not the real price for this service. It’s is overpriced !"

Ich habe über einen Monat darauf gewartet, dass mein Hotelzimmer freigeschaltet wird. Nichts ist passiert. Letztlich musste ich es dann sehr kurzfristig verschenken. Scheinbar arbeitet dort niemand mehr, der/die Inserate freischaltet. Schade...

Thank you for posting your reservation for sale on Roomer.
I'm sorry that the reservation did not go live in a timely manner.
Roomer has upgraded its reservation approval process, and as of today, most reservations go live without a human intervention.
However in your case, it seems that the hotel that was posted (Elbgalerie Hotel) was not available in our system at the time of the posting, which made the reservation to not go live.
We are looking into this and will see how we can improve the process.

Impossible to cancel a room

I had to cancel a room (with free cancellation terms), but it was impossible from the site, I wrote 4 times to the help desk and they always answered they were trying to solve the problem, then disappeared..
Tried even to call them on the phone, no answer

Two weeks to get a confirmation email!

Paid on 21 October for a booking on the 5 November, finally received confirmation on 3 November by which time I've had to make a replacement hotel booking with someone else. Wish me luck getting my money back from these grifters. They should be shut down.

Update 9/11/22: Roomer emailed me after I submitted this review. They claimed to have only resent me the confirmation email on 3 November, and to have originally confirmed the booking on 22 October. They have been unable to provide proof of having sent a confirmation email on 22 October. They also tried to have this review removed from Trustpilot through the Trustpilot "Content Integrity" scheme. I repeat my earlier advice to stay away from this company.

100% scam

100% scam - no response ever!
Did book a room in Las Vegas. They took my money, never received confirmation, never answered to my questions, never got my money back!

Update: They are now accusing me that I did try to scam them, by trying to buy my own listing - what could be the possible benefit from that? Just WOW! Please everyone, I did see the bad reviews and thought that it’s maybe I will get lucky, but apparently they have 1 star for a reasons!

We were a group of four people wanting to travel to Madagascar. We found several companies that offered different packages but none were able to provide what worked with our time schedule.We will definitely recommend and use Roomer Travel again in the future.

Bad experience - feels like a scam

Bad experience. Have sold a room via roomer, got a request to change the booking name, and have followed their instruction accordingly. Have not received any updates and no reactions on any questions. Result: lost the room and have not received any money.

Roomer Travel planned an absolutely perfect trip for my husband’s and my 10 year anniversary. We visited Athens, Naxos, and Santorini and every leg of the trip was uniquely amazing. Our hotels were gorgeous and well located.It was really magical and all within our budget.

Good service to use especially if the…

Good service to use especially if the hotels are playing hard ball with your unwanted booking. Communication could be better I had to send multiple emails to get a response each time I wanted an update. There could also be a little more information about the after sale process in the account section, but the end delivery is what I wanted.

RUMORS! Don’t do It. Unless you have time, money and energy to be fighting for your rights.

Phil and John were the worst Customer Service Representatives I have ever spoke with. I’m giving 1 star only because there was no -1 star. Actually, -100.

ROOMERSFLEX is the Worst company I have ever seen in my life in regards to absolutely everything, from TERMS AND CONDITIONS that are not true to CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My international flight was delayed for 18h and I booked a room at Quality Suites in Brazil - São Paulo, Vila Olimpia for two days (40h). Again, we are talking about a 2 day international trip. Checking in on the 8th and checking out on the 10th.

THEY DO MENTION COVERAGE FOR CANCELLED/DISRUPTED FLIGHT under their terms and conditions, THAT’S A LIE!

When I requested a reimbursement for the booking made they said they would only give me a refund if the flight was canceled and not delayed. Yes, we’re taking about a very significant 18h delayed.

THEY ALLEGED 18H FLIGHT DELAYED ISNT A “SIGNIFICANT DELAYED”.

After fighting for my reimbursement to be made and being completely ignored by John and Phil for a whole week, I finally got a reimbursement ONLY because I reached out directly to the hotel representatives who did mention they did not charge me due to a no show and to the third party company I booked my room through - that escalated the issue to the management department. Otherwise, If It wasn’t because of those companies, I would have never received my reimbursement directly from them.

On top of everything - If that was not enough.. The last email John sent to me was very inappropriate and unprofessional. He mentioned I had a “lack of basic human respect” towards him because I have given my opinion about him as being “the worst customer service representative I have ever communicated with” over here on trustpilot. Instead of just ending the communication right there and just apologizing for all the inconvenience they have caused, he’s gone personal and try to extend/escalate things. On top of that he continued to allege that my flight was only delayed for 2h (again, after sending them multiple evidences of my flight changes, emails, updates via the app, text messages from the airline, etc) but he was “happy to give me a full refund”. Of course, after everybody else escalated the issue, what else could he have done? I was willing to fix the problem legally anyway.

I have the right to be unhappy and show my frustration and that has nothing to do with being disrespectful, but having the right to expose my thoughts/experiences and fight for justice. I didn’t use any profane words, I didn’t threat, I didn’t say anything that wasn’t matching with the reality neither in a bad manner. I was very polite from start to end.

The refund was done only because they were under pressure from the hotel as well as the third party company I booked the room through and that costed me not only money but time; energy, etc.

My vacation costs were not covered in 100% and It was not their responsibility to do so anyway, I don’t even know why John mentioned that on his response over here at trustpilot. That’s definitely not true. The only thing that was reimbursed after fighting for it was what I had PER RIGHT to be reimbursed and (again) only because of the companies above them, not because they actually wanted to do it.

I’m never purchasing any service from them, ever again. I would highly recommend you to do the same.

No reply on customer service requests or a way to contact the company directly

I tried using the service once in 2017 when my room didn't actually sell.
Since then I have sent 5 requests to delete my account (under the EU right to be forgotten) but I haven't received a reply to any of them... I tried to reset my password as it's not a very strong one but the reset password errors. Overall, I wouldn't trust my personal details to a company that can't manage passwords or reply to any customer service requests.

Sold my non-refundable hotel booking on…

Sold my non-refundable hotel booking on roomer. Got a mail from Booking.com that the name on the reservation has changed. But after the date passed, roomer claimed that the buyer had an issue with the room therefore didn't pay and I won't get paid. Does not seem right. Since I got the approval, I didn't try to sell the room any more.

However, as we have wrote to you in private, the customer was unable to check in to the hotel due to miscommunication between Booking.com and the hotel.
