Can't fault this dealership whatsoever. I was recommended to use this business by a family member who had good service here, and I'm glad I listened to them.

I've had some poor experiences at other local dealerships where I've been lied to and missold, but dealing with Jacob and his colleagues at Rubber Duck Cars was a pleasure. From start to finish there were no dodgy sales tactics, no pressure to buy, just honest advice.

I was given a price for my old car, which upon inspection had an issue meaning they needed to reduce the price slightly. This was not a problem at all as fixing this myself would have cost 3x as much as the fee they deducted. The poor review I've just read below is completely unfair - if a dealership is going to have to fix an issue with a car you're trading in it's completely understandable for them to pay less for that car! (and it shouldn't be a shock if your recent MOT flagged this!)

I highlighted a few small bodywork issues with the car I was buying and Jacob was extremely helpful. He arranged for the car to be taken to have the bodywork sorted before collection, and when I returned to pick it up I found they'd even put some new tyres on it. I didn't even flag the tyres with them initially, which did look a little worn. On collection the car looked almost brand new and it drives perfectly.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rubber Duck Cars to anyone looking to buy from a family-run dealership, the lads here are great.

Viewed a used car we liked online then went to see it in person. Right from the start Paul at Gateshead was terrific and easy to deal with. Paul let us have a good look, offerred a test drive and answered our questions but zero hard sell. We checked out another couple of vehicles at another branch but then rang Paul and bought the one he had shown us. The process that followed was simple and hassle free and we collected the car today. They had serviced the car and put on 4 new tyres because their company principle is new tyres if theres less than 3ml on which we really apreciated. We will definitely go to Paul at Rubber Duck for our next vehicle and apreciate the stress free process. Incidentally the car was pristine and drives beautifully so we are very happy campers

From the moment I spoke to this company I knew I would be in safe hands buying our car they were very polite and made you welcome from the beginning paul is a great credit to the sales team for this company always smiling 100% recommend rubber ducks to anybody looking to buy a car

Recently purchased a 65 reg Seat Ibiza for my daughters first car, wipers on test drive were dragging but these were all sorted for collection. Car has 86k on but in good condition for age. Battery recently went, took it to a different garage and Peter the owner paid for replacement over the phone. Top service from an independent dealer. Would 100% recommend

We were directed to this company from Motorway. They offered a price for our car and made an appointment to pick it up, we agreed to price even though it was well below Auto Trader price.
However on arrival and after a very short test drive they knocked the price down by £300 stating brakes and air con needed doing. The mot a couple of months prior gave an advisory to have discs done prior to next mot . My husband refused the offer.
At this point we would have just moved on however they then sent a report to Motorway which was a total lie stating there was a loud noise while driving , noise could be heard whatsoever.
We had the last laugh advertised on Auto trader and got 1000 more than there offer for a totally reliable car with low mileage, wouldn't trust this company or recommend them to anyone else.As per Rubber Duck reply you've answered our question ,it's the fact that you provided a dishonest review to Motorway ,but clearly that's so you didn't have to pay the fee, we get it now.

Travelled 120 miles to see a 2017 Skoda Yeti which looked like the best example and best value on Autotrader. Car did not disappoint and the whole looking/testing/buying experience was excellent. 4 weeks after collection the touchscreen was not working. I was asked to get a quote locally for repair, and Rubberduck paid the full cost within 2 days of receiving the quote. Absolutely outstanding customer aftercare.
