I have bought literally a ton of flour from shipton Mill over the years, but not any more. On *three separate occasions,* the flour has started to crawl with insects.
I complained the second time and they replaced it; but the same thing happened again with the replacement..
You have to throw it all away, together with any other flour in the same cupboard, and then you are left to reflect on the fact that you have been eating insect eggs. I know it is all protein, but still given a straight choice between flour with insect eggs in and flour without, I would prefer the latter

I've just completed the Advanced Sourdough course at Shipton mill, and I have to say it was amazing. We made several loaves and we even made our own lunch.
Chris who taught us, was so well organised and very clear with instructions. I would highly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in making sourdough.

Terrible service. Order at least 7 days before if you want to receive this. No email notifications.

I have been buying flour from this company for a few years now, always trying new kinds with delicious results, but recently I had the problem that I didn't get one of the two parcels of my latest order. When I emailed them, the response was fast and effective, they just post it again... Very happy with the costumer service... And the products, of course.

I have been using shipton mill for 25 kg sacks of flour for several years now. Not had a single issue with customer services or delivery and all that time

Outstanding product and service.
Recommended by a fellow bread maker & having now tried 5 different types of bread flour from them I have found them all excellent.
The service has also been impeccable, delivery from order in under 24 hours with Parcelforce.

Purchased two types of flours on large bags, 00 organic white and light malt house organic. The flours are excellent producing excellent products, pleasantly surprised. From ordering to delivery outstanding experience. Ordered late Wednesday afternoon and received on Monday morning, very well packaged and in perfect condition. Thank you Shipton mill I will return again

The dough using Shipton Mill white flour felt different and the fresh yeast smell reminded her of childhood - my wife's comments having hand made bread for over 50 years.
My fresh yeast cost 50p, but there was a distribution delay ( outside Shipton Mill's control).
The Head of Marketing emailed Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening as part of the investigation.
The yeast arrived, and despite protestations from me the company insisted on refunding my 50p.
Great product at a really good price and great people to deal with.

Contaminated flour
Had to throw two bags of flour away due to one bag being full of suspect, dark coloured specks, possibly insects - not a natural characteristic of the flour. Second bag of flour had a live larve of some kind in it. Both bags went straight in the bin. Now thinking the other bags of flour purchased and already used may have been contaminated. Will not be purchasing again.

They may be pleased with their link with royalty and organic flour but their own drivers who sit with their engines running for 5 minutes or more, in huge artics, are not that considerate for either nearby houses or the environment. On asking driver if he might switch off engine he replied “It’s got ad blue”!! Perhaps someone in the company could explain that ad blue helps but that filth and noise are still being pumped out. Not very organic!

terrible new website design - the instant shop feature is pointless and the flip views of a bag of flour to a scoop of flour are what fashion sites do to provide eg a rear view of an outfit for good reason but absolutely useless here and annoying for a site just selling food products. Why did they change what was perfectly fine before? obviously never bothered to consult actual users of the site. I gave up trying to navigate around the new site -it is now so complicated just to find products that I got fed up and logged out. Shame as previously it was a great site and company. But user experience matters.

The new website may be very good to look at, but is very user unfriendly to order from. It used to take a few minutes to order flour, now it takes at least half an hour. Is this progress? I think not. Why does your login area not accept cut and paste usernames and passwords? I, like many people, use a computer based program for storing encrypted usernames and passwords with all passwords being unique and all being a random string of characters. Logging into your website has now become a nightmare as customers are now required to type in a 'username' and a 'password' twice. The new system is a huge backward step, is time wasting, and does absolutely nothing for security.

This company supplies gorgeous flour at a great price. The customer service is superb.

I was in the area and was allowed to pop into Shipton Mill ....what a beauty of a place.
Have been buying big and small bags of flour from Shipton Mill ...espescially no.55 for my baguettes and never let down.
I buy flour from all over the place when i travel and i have to say Shipton Mill is one of the best if not the best over all espescially as they have so many flours.
my visit there they were so helpful and even provided some fresh yeast.

I’ve been using Shiptons T55 flour for my baguette making ( I’m a novice by the way) it’s the best flour I’ve ever used. So much better than other competitors.

Absolutely fantastic service , beautiful organic wholemeal and organic malted flour.

We are ordering from Shipton mill about a year now, last delivery took a bit longer, thanks to the Ukrainian situation. Their customer service is excellent, the products are great.
