Agents will provide misleading information about trials and how they work, charge your card (required to sign up for trial) and refuse to refund your payment, even when you request one.

Two weeks ago I signed up for the free 4-week trial.

One week after that, I received an email thanking me for my purchase of the 12-month membership plan, which I had not authorized.

After checking my bank account, I was shocked to discover that a payment for more than £200 was scheduled to go through.

I promptly contacted Shaw Academy to inform them of the mistake and request that they reverse the payment.

To my absolute disgust, I received a phone call informing me that I was not eligible for a refund but that they would provide me with lifetime access to the site. When I asked why I was not allowed to have my money back, they simply repeated that their refund policy did not allow it.

I contacted Shaw Academy via email again, requesting more information about why I was not entitled to a refund. This time they offered to give me half of my money back, and when I asked why I couldn't have a full refund, they merely stated that my situation didn't qualify for a refund.

I am still yet to receive a proper explanation as to why a free trial has led to an unauthorized payment, followed by a complete lack of transparency over why I am not entitled to a refund for a purchase I did not even attempt to make.

Disgusting treatment of customers.

Steer clear of this company, and if anyone is able to explain to me why I am not allowed to have my money back, then I am all ears.

This is only about the webpage and subscription process. I chose not to proceed but getting repeated calls seeking for me to complete my registration. Following repeated attempts at telling them I'm not interested and to stop calling me, I still get called. I've sent email per GDPR to remove me from their system. They promised many times not to call but they still do. Honestly, I would have considered their services but because of the all the harassing calls, they felt more like a scam.

Poor experience with their customer support. They hang up when you call back they tell you that "Wait we look into it and call you back". Avoid

they use Bluesnap to take their payment, they took money from my account even after I subscribed with them. I didn't recongnise Blusesnap, so I reported fraud. One month later got a letter from them claimed I have reactive my account by click a button at an email they sent to me. So they money refunded as fraud been taken from my bank again.
I called the bank, Lloyds told me that unfortunately I reported as fraud a month ago, they cannot refund me a transaction happened a month ago.

God knows I received two phone calls from them and I said clearly that UNSUBSCRIBE !!!

Don't give them your bank detail, or else you'll lose money!! never able to cancel subscription

I. Went to shaw academy. There. Courses. Are for beginners. I am a chef. And wanted more than a. How to make pancakes. I cancelled. They took so much. Money out of my acct. Then. They offered me. Free yr. Of classes and access to all cert. And etc. Funny. I have there. Certificates popping up after each module as. Pay. I call them. Ur all set. I reset it for. U. Not. Accessible at all. They stole money from acct. And. I changed accts. Because they were. Taking it out. After I said cancel. They then said. We will give u a free yr and free cert. Still says pay to print.

RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM SHAW ACADEMY! They are nothing but a BIG HUGE REAL TIME SCAMMER whose founder is now being sued by several companies and try to take your money WiTHOUT YOUR CONSENT, WiTHOUT YOU KNOWING!
They subscribed me, charged my card without consent for a FEW TIMES, and it’s impossible to opt out. They give you 1000 reasons for not refunding you on the course you didn’t even sign up! Do not answer their phone call, they charge you right away!! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY WROTE, REQUEST TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT!!!

You people don't even deserve a damn star. This is a big scam. Do not apply for any course here because it is fake. You guys took $10,977.93 from my account I specifically told you guys that I was not a hundred percent sure on doing any classes but yet you're deducting money from my account for classes I was not aware of and did not even attend or sign up for I will be reporting you guys for fraud and expose you to the media. I will sue you!!!!!

Did a photography course in 2017 and started looking into doing something else recently. Wish I'd never done so.

If unsolicited sales calls weren't annoying enough, these lot are also extremely pushy and "hard sell" and very rude when told "no", making sarcastic remarks like "don't you want to improve yourself?"

Maybe I would, but if I want a course, I'll ask for one. Trying to shove one down my throat is a GREAT way to ensure I'll never want to do business with you again.

I don't know what the legality is of cold calling from Ireland to UK now that we're outside of the EU, but either way after dealing with that guy I'll be sure to make people aware of this company's harassment.

Out of the blue, Shaw Academy just took money out of my account and activated a premium account I didn't ask for. I have not even been on their site since January, and 6 months later they abuse the fact that they have my card information on their systems. This is just Fraudulent behaviour. I am now asking for a
refund, but realising that they have been carrying out this scam for so long without anyone stopping them.

AVOID THEM LIKE PLAGUE - DO A SEARCH ON GOOGLE FOR COMPLAINTS ON SHAW ACADEMY AND SEE FOR YOURSELF - THEY START OFF WITH A FREE TRIAL AND THEN KEEP CHARGING YOU EVEN IF YOU CANCEL AND REFUSE TO REFUND

The worst thing ever. They were billing me even after the cancellation, and i wasnt even aware of it. I thought its cancelled because i went trough cancelling process with them. But they are just lying scums talking money from people.
It should be deleted forever.

Absolutely shocking. They debit your account after cancelling subscription. Had to contact bank to retrieve money. They delete all the negative comments on their facebook and Instagram pages and block you from commenting. This company need taking down and FAST before they rip anyone else off.

Beware of this. Don't give this company your credit card info or you will be exposed to lose money. I signed up for a 4-week free trial and cancelled it before the 4 weeks. Then I received a call from someone from the UK saying that I had won 12 months of free premium membership. However, they still proceeded to charge me $69.99 which I did not authorize. I then wrote back asking for a refund and they called me saying they could not refund me. I wrote again and that time I got a refund. I few days after that refund and two days after I had cancelled again with their phone automated system they charged me again this time under a different merchant name on my credit card. I am now asking them for a refund for that second amount and have not received an answer.

The conduct of the Shaw Academy reeks of dishonesty. I signed up for a free course. My payment information was requested. Eventually my card was charged without any prior notification. When I requested a refund, the refund was not considered favourably. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this entity. Its behaviour is unethical and despicable.

I did a review a round a year ago. I have mentioned that I get a lot of messages on my personal phone and emails from them which is really annoying. After writing a review here they deleted it! They still sending me a lot of emails although I did not sign up or gave them my information. I am not interested in receiving anything from them. Their website is stealing information as I can see (not secure) statement on my browser!!!

This company break mastercard and visa rules. They make it very very difficult to cancel a subscription (against rules), they take payment without prior notification (against rules). 6 months later, still getting money taken from them! Avoid like the plague. They will not give my money back.
