It’s a total scam! The team member will keep phoning you until you sign up to their membership and they refuse any refunds even when you’re still in the 4 weeks ‘free’ trial.

Pure scam. After my cancellation, they send me a thousand of email convincing me to comeback and told me that I have deactivated my account. But no, indeed, they kept on stealing money from me sneakly.

Constantly harassed by this place via email with no option to unsubscribe or stop their daily emails. Just now I received a call from them! 7.30pm and they are now cold calling! Complete breach of GDPR.

I Had signed up for a free trial last year, I did not complete any modules as I have a toddler, do not have time to complete any modules and so cancelled, I have proof of this conversation over email. I have not logged in to that account since then, Shaw academy does not allow you to remove your banking details or card details from your profile which should say enough about them as it is.

Yesterday I received a charge on my bank account, I immediately contacted them and sent them the proof that I had cancelled my free trial last year, now their website says I have completed a module on the free course I selected last year? Yesterday was the first time I had even logged in to Shaw academy and only because I had to get hold of their support to report that there must be a mistake.

I have requested that they close my account and remove all my information -thinking it would be done once my refund is actioned, I was told according to their terms and condition they do not give refunds, that I had activated a free subscription 4 weeks ago and now it has been charged.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! I have advised that our I.T Department will be pulling my I.P records as proof that I had not had any recent activity on Shaw academy, I will also be opening a case of fraud and advise anyone considering to sign up for their scam to think twice!!!

I have had the same issue being charged a lot of money out of nowhere. I did get the money back from them eventually after lots of ridiculous emails and phone calls (in which I had to demand they call me as there is no phone number available) but they tried really hard to tell me it wasn't possible before they did actually refund me! Absolute scam and they text you about 20 times a day saying practically the same thing which is annoying in itself! Avoid.

Made enquires about courses, realised pretty quickly it was a bit of a scam, said thanks but no thanks. I have literally been harassed by this company every day since either via email or phone. I've told them on at least 20 occasions to stop contacting me. Blocked them on my phone and email. They ring me a month later using another number. After threatening the last person who called with the police. He called me a stupid b**ch and hung up. They then called me back 3 days later to see if I wanted their rubbish course. I've reported them to trading standards. DO NOT USE THEM, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL. ABSOLUTE SCAM. NONE OF THE COURSES ARE RECOGNISED ANYWHERE!!!

Ofrecen un trial gratuito de un curso por un mes, para darte de alta al periodo de prueba te piden un numero de tarjeta, e inmediatamente comienzan a hacer cargos, no vale que canceles el trial ni escribas a servicio al cliente, te meteran toda clase de cuentos y seguiran cobrando descaradamente. Afortunadamente les puse un tarjeta prepago y no han podido sacarme los cargos. Desde entonces recibo las notificaciones frecuentes del banco con estos delincuentes tratando de cobrar diferentes montos, no vale enviarles emails son bastante cínicos y te hacen gaslighting. La unica solucion es bloquear la tarjeta o cambiar de plastico y denunciar a esta soberana ESTAFA disfrazada de academia. Si caiste corre a bloquear tu tarjeta, con ellos nada que hacer, te darán vueltas para dilatarte mientras drenan tu cuenta.

It is a SCAM! They will take your money without your permission! Do not fall for the "free" trial!

I decided not to take a course after reviewing some of their options. Almost a full year later I am still receiving unsolicited phone calls from the sales team/customer service, asking me to sign up. They also asked some personal questions like what was I doing now, and why was I not taking their course.
Extremely inappropriate. I would definitely recommend avoiding this kind of business.
I have asked to be taken off their call list 3 times. The final time I cautioned that I would be forced to seek legal advice if it continued.

Just following up on how they still haven't refunded my money.

They said they would refund the full $97.98 but only refunded one payment of $48.99 - they stole this money because the account was cancelled immediately (back in January they stole 2 payments in May).

Claimed the first payment didn't go through so they stole a second one -it obviously went through because I know how to read my bank statement and had money missing - they kept telling me to go to my bank so I did. GUESS WHAT??? Now they are saying because I filed a complaint they won't refund the money they stole and promised to return even they they NEVER said "don't file a complaint or we won't refund your stolen money".

I have all the emails saved & document should proof be required.

So to be more specific about this ACADEMY.
Before you sign in for anything just have another look at their website. You don't find any names of teachers, managers, directors nothing. Have a look how at their comment: our team, best regards shaw academy. Beautiful!

THey stole my money without informing me about what happened.
I cancelled my subcription but they still stole my money.

They promised a 4 week trial and then kept calling me and they change my subscription without my permission to a yearly sub without consulting me or telling me then took £221 out of my account without my permission. When I spoke to them about it they said they would refund only £100 in 7 days and they still haven't even refunded that after two weeks. After back and forth with them they haven't refund me money and try to say I change the sub from my home when I did not. Do not sign up for there trial the moment you put your card details in they will take whatever money in you account.

I unsubscribed my email from the shaw academy system having been scammed by them some 4 years ago, yet every week for the last four years i have had spam emails from them, Shaw Academy get round my spam filters by having hundreds of new sending addresses so they can get past the last address you added to your block list, this company has gone far beyond breaching the data protection act and should be closed down.

police and fraud agency should stop their activity , 07 of june charged me for 220 usd without my permission , after my few emails to them to get full refund by law , answered

My fault that I filled my debit card details. Just after I saw - 220eur from my acc. I asked for refund but its impossible to contact them. Only auto replies that this case will be reviewed.

In a nutshell this is a cheaply made, highly diluted set of pre-recorded courses that they are trying to sell as if they’re live lessons with a tutor. To this end they force you to ‘schedule your lessons’ for certain times on certain days, to try and keep up this illusion of it being in real time. Not only is this an insult to our intelligence, it’s also a waste of time and just a way of forcing you to spend as much time, energy and effort on acquiring what little information there is at the slowest pace possible (so they can keep charging you for as long as possible). This is one of the weirdest long-play scams I’ve ever seen.
It also means you can’t adjust the playback speed of the material which is a real pain if you want the tutors to talk at anything faster than a snail pace.

The sheer lies this company is willing to dish out is highly disturbing. One example here was sent after I’d signed up to a “Diploma In Coding & Technology” course; “There are 20 students in your diploma. All of the students on your leader board have signed up for their diploma in the last 30 minutes.”
This email was sent out within seconds of me clicking ‘sign up’. They will stop at nothing to manipulate their users into believing this is a ‘real classroom’ set up. It’s creepy.

They also try and charge you ridiculous money for every tiny bolt-on you can imagine. You want access to course materials? A certificate? More lessons!?!? LIFE TIME ACCESS?! Be prepared to be bombarded with paywall adverts on every page, and in 5 emails per day too.

I’m sure if you’re an absolute beginner in something there will be SOME kind of useful information within the smoke and mirrors. But honestly I can’t see a way of justifying giving money to this company when there are so many excellent resources on YouTube (where you can support content creators more directly, access everything at once, and adjust playback!).

So you realise it’s a scam. You’d like to cancel? Good luck! They make that as difficult as possible, you’ll need to call their office and dodge all the schemes they have for luring you into staying longer so they can snatch some more money out your account whilst you’re looking the other way. Even when you eventually get in to 'schedule for cancel' they ring you touting some 'free extension' which just cancels the cancellation and puts you back on the contract. You just cannot escape.

Whilst I can scarcely believe the audacity this company has to try and market itself as a ‘globally recognised institution’ (pull the other one…) I guess it’s just the latest way to try and trick people out of their money without officially breaking the law.
Please save yourself the trouble of getting involved with them. And if you’re already signed up to a free trial or something….run. Run now and don’t look back!

Я отказалась, потому что не хочу иметь с ними дела, потребовала назад свои деньги, но не вернули. Сейчас хотела зайти на сайт, продолжить переписку, но не смогла. Они 'migrating' на другую платформу.

Signed on for a free trial in January. A few days later was billed 49.99 for a product that they claimed I had requested. Nnothing that I clicked on their site had any kind of reference to that charge attached to it. I contacted them to complain but athey refused a refund - even though the account was unused - and would only offer additional membership time. Yesterday, I notice they have taken a further 49.99, despite me not touching the account in the interim and having told my bank in Feb to block any future transactions. Beyond mad with these theives.
