Only ever checked out the platform once years ago, never actually used it, and today got a cold call from them to sell me a course for 'free'. Any business that cold calls people to sell them stuff is a scam in my book. No legit business cold calls in 2021.

I saw a post saying free 4weeks trial in digital marketing and I sign up for it on March.
On 29th March, I did cancelled my membership on a phone call and they said they are going to send me a confirmation email which they never did.
After two month, on 07th May, they did withdrawal 69.99 AUD$ from my bank account so did they on 04th June which is now pending.

Although I did cancelled my membership on March, and on the website (My account information) tells me "scheduled to cancel" they still stealing money for what I didn't agree to. I have checked on the internet If there is any same or similar cases regarding this company and I found a lot. Some cases, the Shaw Academy sent a confirmation email of cancellation and still stealing money from students.

I have already contacted to my bank and they are investigating this.
I am a international student who lives in Australia temporally, working hard and trying all the best I could to survive during this crisis. Hope this information help and prevent another cases and hurt someone like me.

Last years I've given a review here about being charged for 3 times without using free trail.
Now they started call center scam , last one mone I've received more then 50 calls from show academy( many boys and girls try to convince with girl also! ) for reactive my account and saying same sh¡t that last year told me that 4 weeks free then charge again.
Keep telling it's free because last year I've charged but didn't complete the course. And at the last stage told me the same sh¡t that I'll be charged after 4 weeks.
And once it's activated we can't cancel the subscription and the won't cancel it's. Every month they'll try to scam you.

So be ware it. Don't ever give your card information to this kinda scam site.

I recently signed up for a free digital marketing course advertised on Instagram, even refered my dad on a photography one,thank God he delayed to take the course, but now the ad proved to be misleading because soon after I start getting notifications on my phone for charges I never agreed on 2 days in a row they charged me R1200,I there fore requested for cancelation of my account all I'm getting are emails stating that my request is being resolved and how I should go about the cancelation online and by call which I have already done yet still they are charging as an active member.These guys don't care about consumer rights they are deceitful and misleading. PLEASE ANYONE WHO SEES MY REVIEW BECAREFUL AND DO NOT BE A VICTIM...NEVER EVER SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING WITH THEM!!!!

On the 26 May 2021 I signed up for a free trial as advertised on Facebook and Instagram including their website. The next day I received a call from one of their agents, he claimed to be my mentor and said he would guide me through the course however, he never mentioned anything about costs. He also promised to send me an email I never received. After the call I was charged an amount of R2 198,99. I phoned back the line +27 11 019 0060 immediately but no answer. After a numerus time of trying to get hold of an agent I immediately sent an email to Shaw academy support division with screenshots that prove that I was charged during a free trial I have not even started. I have been emailing the support division team for the past 6 days, I canceled the subscription and asked them to delete my account. I asked that they refund me. They have decided to ghost me as they are no longer responding to my emails.

They are a con institution!!!! They called me 5 minutes after I started and attempted to charge my account a total of $859usd. I tried to cancelled my subscription but it can not be done via their page. I tried calling the number I got through once and after the no call went through after!! I emailed them to have it cancelled and they sent me a Canned response. 2 days after emailing them to cancel they attempted to charge my account $54.99usd again.Approximately a day later they sent me this "Thank you for reaching out to us again!

We are sorry to hear that you wish to terminate your account with us.

As per your request, we have initiated the process to delete your account and remove all your personal details. Your subscription is cancelled and the payment details will be removed if you had entered any at the time of registration or to make any payment.

Please be advised that we can no longer able to assist with any further queries once the account is deleted."

Do not make the mistake and register with them. they are a con institution

This company employs sharp practices. When I presumed that I had unsubscribed before the free period ended because I could not log into the course, money was taken from my account. I would steer well clear of Shaws Academy. At least be very careful with your dealings with them.

SCAMMERS. Be aware of this fraud company. They are manipulators, abusers of money and take advantage of people. DO NOT join this company. They stole my money. I clicked on their Digital Marketing 4 weeks trial advertisement, commencing on the 6th of March 2021 and they have not stopped deducting my money ever since. They would not stop calling me, and I would get random phone calls. Even after the 4 weeks which I did not even participate in, I tried to cancel my subscription.

It began with the website cancellation, which I did. Then on the page it told me that the only way to fully cancel my subscription was to call a number. I tried calling this number but came into no contact with them. They've been deducting $79 a month since March. It has only taken me this long to take action as I have been preparing my notes, speaking to authorities and now I am finally ready to take LEGAL ACTION NOW if they continue to deduct from my account, steal my money and do not stop their fraud actions. I have been taking notes all this time behind the scenes. Now that I have all the information I need, I am taking legal action against this company and it's CEO.

I have been building a lawsuit in preparation for all of this, and considering I have also studied Business and Law and know people close to me in higher authorities who can assist, I am not holding back from this anymore. You are over. My next deduction from Shaw Academy would be on the 28th of July, and if I do not get refunded my money by then totaling $316, I am taking this seriously and will be taking legal action.

I am as we speak going to report and launch an investigation with this company with the help of the following agencies:
- Action Fraud
- National Fraud Inlltegence Bureau
- Federal Trade Commission

I have also filed a dispute and investigation with my bank fraud department. I have all the documents and contact numbers that I need to finally support myself and proceed with this action.

You should be terrified. I have my documents, phone numbers and those in the legal team ready to assist me. If I do not hear from Shaw Academy and redeem my own money, there will be seriously unspeakable consequences for this. I am currently in the process of disputing this issue now with my bank. Be prepared Shaw Academy. Your actions and abuse have been beyond unacceptable, taking advantage and you are being warned now. This will not continue to happen.

About a month ago I had signed up for Shaw Academy. Like many other pages they had a month of Free-Trial which was free of charge.

During that same week that I decided to start, they called me to offer me a special one-year subscription package for US $ 20, so I accepted but when I got home they tried to charge me US$120. They couldn't charge me because I didn't have enough balance at the time.

That same day I wrote to them and informed them that I would not want the package since they gave me the wrong information and the person I contacted said that they would transfer my case to the "Billing team".

Days later they tried to collect again and I wrote them a complaint again. They answered me the same and then I proceeded to cancel my subscription because I began to suspect them. When they tried to charge me a third time, I wrote to confirm with them that my subscription was canceled.

They told me not to worry that they would not charge me anything unless I reactivated my account after the Free-Trial which ends now in early June, which I did not.

Well, today I checked my bank account and I saw that they charged me US $99 for no reason and I immediately wrote to them for a refund, but they responded the same as in previous cases. So that, plus a little research I did on the internet confirm that Shaw Academy are definitely a group of scammers who take your money and do their best not to return it.

Also, since it does not allow me to remove my card from the account, I could not prevent them from charging me the money without realizing it, so I will have to cancel my card and get a new one.

Total scam! Please, stay away from them at all costs!

Don't sign up! Don't give them your credit card or bank account informations, they'll will take your money without your consent. You can't cancel your subscription, or if you can, they'll renew it and charge you on their own. The only way to stop them from taking any more of your money is to contact your bank, block your bank account and replace your card.

I'm asking them for a refund! I will do whatever I can to let as many people as possible know how big of a scam they are, and I will not stop until they give me back the money they robbed me!

Be careful when signing up. I received a phone call today asking why I cancelled my subscription over a year ago! I didn't realise that I was still on the calling list so politely asked to be removed from it. The lady on the phone didn't acknowledge if she had done as I requested & was quite rude/blunt. I have blocked their number now as I don't want to be called daily as I know other people have experienced that.

I signed up for a course maybe 1 or 2 years ago but never got around to it, so cancelled my account.

Since about a week ago, they've started calling and emailing me to sign up for a new course - in total 3 calls and 8(!!!) emails in the last 6 days.
I've kindly let them know I'm not interested over the phone, but it didn't stop them from calling on a daily basis. Unsubscribing from their emails does not work either. I've resorted to blocking their numbers and e-mail addresses now, fingers crossed that'll make it stop eventually.

Worst company ever! I signed up for a free trial, when I tried to opened the first module, they charged me right away from my bank account. I contacted them for a refund but they just mentioned-according to the company policy, they couldn't give me back my money, instead, they offered me 6 months of access. I don't want that, I just want to get my REFUND!

I just got an email from one of your workers that you will not refund the money that you have stolen from my account! I am hungry, my family is hungry and you have taken our money for food!

In January, I saw shaw academy advert on Facebook. For free trial of different courses. The advert said that the subscription is $0, but you need to add your card information. I decided to use PayPal to process the $0.
I got a call from shaw academy few days later to ask if I was interested in the course, I confirmed from the caller if it's truly $0 and he said yes. The next day I checked my credit card and I saw a charge of $139.95. I called my credit card issuer and the rep said she could not see the payment from her end. Few days later, I checked again and noticed that the payment went through. I tried to contact shaw academy via phone call, but they did not pick their calls.
I raised dispute with PayPal, which was a futile effort because PayPal said they cannot do anything about it. I sent series of emails to shaw academy, and eventually they responded saying the payment is disputed with my bank and they are unable to take any action from their end even if the dispute is closed.  However, they will provide 12months free access with toolkits and E-certificate. I responded that I am not interested. But they did not refund my money till now.

Please avoid this company at all costs. I did a FREE course with them last year, I cancelled after a few days and just recently they've tried taking money from my bank account with no warning! And no explanation what it's for. Luckily I've had a new bank card since I signed up with them so it declined. Please be careful!

They take money out of my bank account 2 to 5 dollars a day and I never got to the point where I took or even choose a course! How dose this work? Emailed back asking them to stop but just got another email. 2 or 3 emails a day.is this academy they so call a scam?
