SLEEP8 disappointed with then happy
The customer experience I had was the worst I have endured in quite some time if ever. The sofa broke. The engineer came out. Agreed it would be fixed and someone would be out shortly. we waited 2 months with no contact. We contacted them today and the engineer has essential lied. saying someone has jumped on it. The owner is a 53 year old woman. she does not jump on sofas. They now say the case is closed. AVOID SLEEP8 AT ALL COSTS. they will not help, if anything goes wrong. This is the Chelsea store if you are interested.

Sleep8 agreed to (and to be fair) organised a 3rd party independent firm to review are sofa. He, unsurprisingly, agreed with us the the sofa was faulty. and would report this to sleep8. I rang up after a couple of weeks and they told us they had received the report and having reviewed it had decided rather than fixing the sofa they would replace it. Which is excellent. 5 and a half weeks later the new sofa has arrived! The delivery team were polite, courteous and professional, taking away the faulty sofa and assembling the new one. . So I will raise my star rating but it still took a lot of perseverance to get here. Sleep8 did fight all the way. It started in February and it is now late May.

From the helpful and pleasant attitude of all shop staff at the Kings Road branch to prompt delivery, asembly of the sofabed and aftersales service, Superb !
I thought I had damaged the sofa when fitting a swivel table top to it. I reported my dillema , the serrvice dept. called me back withing an hour and attended my problem next day . No damage but they reinserted the end panel that I had dislodged, no recrimenation at my ineptness . Their concern about ensuring their customers satisfaction is highly appreciated, Service call "No charge" ! A VERY happy customer :-)

Hidden costs with assembly

Went to many different stores before placing my order, after doing research about the correct size bed. However, not a single sales rep ever spoke about dimensions required for delivery/assembly and whether or not I was buying the correct bed.
Finding out now, delivery/assembly seems to be a common problem that is never discussed during the sale! I thought I was ordering one of their mid-sized headboards. Delivery drivers and Sleep 8 customer services are NOW telling me I have to forfeit 30% of the price in a refund before I have to buy a smaller headboard or find and PAY a third party who will cut the headboard down!
***The reply from Sleep 8 below is false and misleading. I have a large staircase and despite this the medium headboard and frame can’t go up as it is delivered in one piece! unlike the rest of the bed frame, which is delivered in several pieces and requires assembly. The only solutions Sleep 8 have offered are: 1) I pay an additional £250 to a third party to take the velvet material off, cut the headboard, take it to the room and reupholster it for assembly (they conveniently have a third party they recommend); 2) I do it myself; or 3) I return the bed and they will deduct 30% of the price.
As I said, initially, this is a known and common problem with Sleep 8 (according to their own delivery drivers) and not disclosing that the headboard will be delivered in one piece is a method used to hide and then charge additional assembly costs after purchase. All bed frames require assembly and no one would expect the bed frame to be delivered in a manner which makes it so big and impractical requiring upholstery.

Ordered a bed for Xmas on 23rd October
Ordered a bed for Xmas on 23rd October, failed delivery 3 times and given £200 compensation for not having the bed for Xmas. They then confirmed the bed was damaged and I had to accept it or get a full refund. When I asked for a refund they deducted the compensation off it today (13th February). Hours spent in communicating with them for nothing. Utter disbelief. Still without a bed months on 😣

Ordered in Nov and requested a delay delivery till Feb as my home is yet to be ready which Jack has ensured the ordering process is smooth. In between the ordering and delivery date I have requested 2 changes about the mattress hardness and adding an additional item and Jack provided a huge help on that.
Slight delay on the delivery due to miscommunication on the timeline causes by the delayed production but Jack has been very responsive and been able to solve all the issues in time giving me a peace of mind.
Overall a very good experience and the products themselves also are top notch.

Excellent Customer Service
Jake, Steve and Dayle were amazing with their customer service. Due to the delay of our loft conversion still not having a finishing with carpet, they adviced us that it will be best to drop the bed and assemble it at later time when the work is all finished otherwise it will collect dust and will have to dismantle and reassemble again. They spoke to customer service and sorted it out for a later time. They were very helpful and friendly!

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. I emailed to say that a bolt had broken on our corner sofa bed. They called me the following day and arranged a repair in 2 days time saying I would get a text the evening before giving me a 3 hour time slot. Received the text in the evening as promised saying they would be there between 9 and 12. I then had a text in the morning saying they were 29 minutes away and another one to say they had arrived. Three guys turned up to carry out the repair. They were polite and got the job done super quick. From meeting an amazing sales woman in the Sleep8 shop at Bluewater, through ordering, delivery and issue resolution the customer service has been excellent. The sofa bed itself is gorgeous and we love it so I cannot fault Sleep8 as a company and would highly recommend them.
