Trey Wilks at Sort Legal handled my remortgage a couple of months ago and I was really impressed by the service provided. Having worked in conveyancing myself a few years ago, I understand how demanding the job can be and how much people underestimate the workload of conveyancers/solicitors/legal assistants etc. Therefore, I really appreciated that Trey regularly communicated with me throughout the process even if it was just to update me that there was no change. Trey would always get back to me within a couple of days (so I didn’t feel the need to constantly call the office to chase) and always had the answers to my questions.

My Mortgage Advisor gave me the option of sourcing my own solicitor or using the one they recommended-I chose to use Sort Legal the one they recommended.
The process of onboarding was simple. Beth Weddle and Amber Lea worked swiftly and thoroughly to get everything in order for mortgage completion there were a few issues and delays but they were very prompt at replying to communication, which put me at ease.

Slow slow
Slow slow. No time frame for completion. Only remortgage, property without a morgage. This wasn't a buy where there is a solicitor on the other side slowing things down
It's just one side and it doesn't move
No communication unless we are calling them or messaging and they don't call back. It's painfully slow and I am still waiting for a completion date that never comes.

Remortgage with Paying Off Help to Buy
Getting a solicitor assigned to our case took a bit of time as we wanted to start the process of paying off help to buy early to make sure there were no issues. However, when we were assigned Arshana, she was very helpful in answering all our questions and would like to give her a mention for all her hard work. The remortgage went smoothly with no issues and she always replied to any queries quickly and kept us at ease through the whole process.
