Item arrived damaged but because I…

Item arrived damaged but because I signed for the product the vendor will not honor a replacement. I'm iut $440.00 . I have been trying to see if the company would send me a replacement for over 3 weeks. I'm very disappointed and in the future I will not do business with this company. To anyone who buys from this company, don't sign anything.

Hi Donna, as far as drop ships go there is a 3 day window to report damages, and this was well past that unfortunately. We did make the effort to contact the vendor for you and see what they would do. But, they would not replace due to the time since being delivered and signed for was too long. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

LED Light Kit

The LED light kit from my order was missing light bulbs. I feel that I need to be sent a replacement kit since this order was incomplete.

I needed reproduction wiper blades and 396.com had the correct ones. They shipped them right away and they were priced well. Will be buying other needed parts in the future. I am a repeat customer.

Slow shipping, incorrect info on webpage, slow refund

Slow shipping, wrong description of the part purchased on the webpage. Return process is a joke, call, get an email that asks for everything already talked about on the phone, need pictures, send in email, more pictures requested because the tech did not read the issue described in the email, send more pictures, then wait, and wait. Still not resolved for a simple return that should have been handled over the phone with the first phone call.

Fifteen days after starting my return, still waiting for my refund!!! I was told it might take up to a week to 1.5 weeks after they received the return parts. My first call today I was told they hadn't received the parts, and I said that they had 5 days ago. I offered the shipping number and then the call dropped. My second call I was told it might take up to a week to 1.5 weeks after they received the return parts. This is just sad that a company is run this way. Over twenty days to get a simple refund, ridiculous.
I did finally get my refund after asking to speak to the President of the company who never did call me. I also did not get an email regarding my refund, found it by looking at my credit card account.

Poor quality mirror

Poor quality mirror and ss396 acted as if nothing was wrong, what they should do if they want to count doing business is to send me just the 12” mirror head at no charge! It could be under

EDIT: Okay with that name we were able to look up your order. It seems you already called a few days ago and we have sent a return authorization along with a return label for the mirror. Once we receive the mirror we can process the return and get you another mirror sent out! Sorry for any inconvenience.

Good prices compared to some other classic car outlets and fast shipping.
The parts I ordered for my 1968 Chevelle were really nice when I unboxed them.

Poor support so far compared to other vendors

2 of 3 packages arrived quickly. The third package tracking (Fedex) shows it sitting at a GA location with no updates. I called Ground Up yesterday and was told to wait overnight to se if it changes and to call back if not. Today I call back and I'm told I needed to wait 10 days before they could process a claim. I asked if they could ship another replacement so I'm not holding up a shop bay & customer and we could deal with the missing item after the 10 day period - no go. They refused to help.

Hi Travis, we’re sorry to hear about your experience. After further investigation into the issue we found that a manager spoke with you right around when this review was posted. During that conversation, it was explained that while carrier claims do have a standard waiting period, we would still send a replacement at no charge. So your shop would not be held up while we worked through the issue on the backend. Our goal is always to keep our customers projects moving, especially when you have a vehicle in the shop and timelines matter. At no point was assistance refused, we were actively working toward a solution. If there was any confusion, we’re more than willing to resolve it and ensure everything is taken care of properly. Just give us a ring if need be!
