I have ordered a few things from Store DJ now and the experience has been seamless. I did have one issue with postage, which was obviously not the store's fault. When I let them know I had not received the product, they immediately sent a replacement, which arrived a few days later. Very impressed with their customer service!

I wanted to buy a drum machine. I’ve never had any experience with them. The staff were unable to show me how any of the drum machines worked, and left me alone with them stating “you probably know more than us about how they work”. Having literally no experience and no idea how they worked, I used YouTube videos in store to figure out how to get one to make any sounds. I eventually found one that I was able to get to make a simple beat using YouTube video instructions. All the others had beats already programmed into them and I was unable to clear them so it was just random sounds, the staff also could not figure out how to clear the patterns that other customers had put into them. I eventually decided to buy the Roland TR8s because it’s the only
one I could get working using the YouTube video instructions.
When I went to purchase it, I was told that the price was actually $1239, even though the sticker price on the shelf was $1099 because they had increased the price but they just hadn’t updated the in store price yet. With an extra $150 dollars suddenly added to the price tag I took some time to consider if I could still afford it. I asked about cheaper options and was shown the TR6s, but the staff couldn’t figure out how to get it to work, although assured me that if I bought one it would come without any customer patterns programmed in so it would be easier to get working out of the box at home. Because the TR8s was the only one that I had seen actually make any drum sounds and I had spent way too long in the store and was getting frustrated with the lack of help using the machines, I decided to buy the TR8s for the 150 dollars more than the sticker price. Only once I was at the counter and reluctantly ready to pay the higher price, I was told that there were none in stock and would have to be ordered in. After wasting over an hour in the drum machine section. I decided it would be easier to just buy one online from another store. (Arrived in 2 days and was cheaper, without all the hassle, with no hidden price increase). I really wanted to support a local music store, but the experience left me more frustrated than anything. I just wish the staff could have showed me how to make a drum beat on literally any of the drum machines, and I would have just bought one that they had in stock. Instead I had to resort to figuring it out myself, getting a surprise price increase, and then no stock available anyway.
