Our instructor was great BUT…

Our instructor was great! However, the company insisted I signed up for a subscription and charged my card again. I contacted them and they are unable to provide any documentation of a subscription. (We are in this area for a few weeks only. Would not have signed up for a subscription) We paid for and got 3 lessons. They are refusing to refund the unauthorized payment. I am going through my credit card company and will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. Beware!

Our records show that the subscription plan was selected during checkout. Additionally, we reviewed your call history and confirmed that our Lesson Coordinator explicitly discussed the subscription details with you over the phone, including the automatic renewal every 4 weeks. We can certainly share that with you to clear up any misunderstanding.

Please know that the booking link you received always includes the option to change the package or plan before finalizing. You can also manage your subscription directly in the app and cancel or pause anytime.

We understand you are only in the area for a short time, but the good news is that your credits are safe, and you can use them across the USA (or try new skills, new coaches, or share them with friends/family). We want to make sure you get the full value of what you paid for. Feel free to reach out to us so we can help. Thank you!

The platform is easy to use

The platform is easy to use, i.e. booking the place abd also seeing when the coach is available with the time options. The only minor issue I have is after the session is over and it will ask you to rate it, it is not very clear if it got through or not because you can't see it.

Very misleading

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using teacher.to for booking lessons. The app has proven to be very misleading, and their customer service has been lacking.

Over a year ago, I sent an email requesting to cancel my subscription. Despite not receiving any acknowledgment or confirmation of my cancellation, I have been charged for 10 months of lessons that I never used or intended to use. This has resulted in over $4000 in charges, which is completely unacceptable.

I attempted to reach out for a resolution, but they have refused to consider any partial refund for the unused lessons. Their lack of communication and support has left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

Please know that we strictly maintain records of all emails for documentation and safety purposes, so any message sent to us would have been logged in our system.

Additionally, upon reviewing the screenshot of the email you provided as proof, we noticed that the delivery date is listed as May 12, 2026, which has not occurred yet. This suggests an inconsistency between the image provided and your claim.

Our subscription terms are presented clearly at checkout to avoid surprises. The good news is that you have not lost this value. Your lessons are ready for you to use anytime; you can share them with friends/family, or try other skills/coaches. We are always happy to help you utilize them!

This company is a SCAM!!!

This company is a SCAM!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM! I purchased ONE lesson and was charged for FOUR. They refuse to refund me and I am forced to take legal action against them. All I wanted was to gift one lesson, which has turned into the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my life. Their phone line is a scam, they never pick up and always has a busy signal. This whole company is a scam and fraudulent, they are not even accredited by the Better Business Bureau!

To clarify, the booking link we sent was indeed for 1 lesson, but the quantity can be adjusted at checkout—it looks like this may have been an accidental click or a system glitch that bumped it to 4. We never intended to withhold a refund; we were simply trying to offer a solution where you could still keep the single gift lesson you wanted. We're sorry if that came across the wrong way.

We apologize for the wait time on the phone. We handle a high volume (hundreds) of students and coaches daily, but we are glad we were able to connect with you yesterday to resolve this completely. Thank you for your feedback.

As a coach

As a coach, the Teaching Me app has been a great tool for organizing, communicating, and delivering value to my students. It allows me to structure lessons clearly, track progress, and keep everything in one place instead of juggling texts, notes, and separate platforms.

What I appreciate most is how simple it is to use—for both me and my students. It helps keep everyone accountable, makes follow-ups easy, and creates a more professional experience overall. The app supports my coaching style by letting me focus more on teaching and less on admin work.

I’d recommend Teaching Me to any coach or instructor looking to streamline their workflow and elevate how they connect with their clients.

I was told I could cancel anytime

I was told I could cancel anytime. Now, with 7 paid lessons, I cannot get a refund without legal action. This site is a RIP OFF!!! When I initially signed up, I was told that the wee was no expiration. Now I’m told I have one year to use. Also, when I signed up, I was able to view different types of lessons. Now I only see pickleball, which I don’t want! My last pickleball lesson was terrible. Scheduled at an inner city tennis court!!!!! I want a refund for my 7 lessons I prepaid for!!!

To put your mind at ease: We can absolutely extend your credits if you need more time, and you are free to switch your credits to any other sport (the app just defaults to your previous choice, but we can change that for you in seconds).

Our billing team is reviewing your case right now. Since our office hours are Mon–Fri 9am-6pm PST, please give us a little time to process this, but we will get back to you ASAP with a solution. We’ll get this fixed for you!

I would like to say I haven’t been working with teach me too that long, but I will say Hannah does a great job with communication and always staying in touch with my concerns about the student and locations great job Hannah keep up the great work …TD

I like the fact that I’m not obligated…

I like the fact that I’m not obligated to more than one lesson because you never know if you will like the instructor or how traffic is and how far you have to travel. Customer services always quick to respond as well. I had a good experience!

So glad found this app.

So glad found this app.
Very easy to book right from start. Lots of locations and pros to choose from.. I chose Jacob and he was great. Very easy going and very knowledgeable. We were in same page from start of lesson with what I wanted to work on and what I kinda knew what I need to work on.
And app gives u free lesson… no pressure to proceeed with more lessons if happy after the free one.
Im going to work on today’s lesson and I’ll comeback to book more if i feel it’s getting away from me again. Cheers
