7 Visits $440 Costs and still have problem
I had my phone screen replaced with an aftermarket one, but after just a month, it stopped working. Thankfully, the shop replaced it at no extra cost. However, when I received my phone back, I discovered that the stylus pen no longer worked. I immediately returned to the shop and reported the issue. They asked me to come back in a couple of days, which I did, only to be told to wait a few more days. Frustrated by the repeated delays, I insisted they replace the screen with an original one. They agreed, but it came with an additional cost.
Initially, I paid $230 for the aftermarket screen. When they replaced it with what they claimed was an “original” screen, they charged me another $210, which I reluctantly paid. That same evening, I noticed that the front camera wasn’t working. I called them right away to explain the issue, and they asked me to return in a few days. When I went back, they repaired the front camera, but just days later, I noticed the back cover of my phone had come loose. Upon returning to the shop yet again, they blamed the issue on the battery and quoted me $90 for a replacement.
Skeptical of their explanation, I visited several other repair shops in the mall for a second opinion. Every technician I consulted confirmed that an original screen should include the battery and bezel, and all of these components should have been replaced together. Armed with this information, I went back to the shop and questioned their claims. When I asked if the screen they installed was genuinely original and included the battery, they insisted it was “original” but admitted they had not replaced the battery. Further research revealed that a genuine screen with the battery and bezel typically costs around $400. By this point, I had already paid them nearly $440, and now they were asking for an additional $90 for the battery replacement!
This entire experience has been both frustrating and unprofessional. Despite visiting the shop seven times, my phone’s back cover remains loose. I would strongly advise against trusting them with any important devices.
I absolutely do not recommend this shop.
