The one star is for the great car, and pre-sale service, despite some initial issues (window wipers not working and car sold with scratches on front bumper). These were rectified very quickly and have been no further issues with the car since.
That being said, I have been chasing ThatCarPlace constantly, weekly, daily sometimes for a few things.
V5 - I recently realised that I have not received the V5 of the vehicle. I have requested this on multiple occasions and it has been ignored among my other issues I’ve been raising. I need the V5 sent to me.
Service history - I have been requesting the service history of the vehicle I bought from them now for over 5 months. I have been told over 5 times that “this will be with you later today or tomorrow” - it’s never been sent. For whatever reason, despite stating they’ll send it over, they are failing to provide it constantly. I need the service history sent to me.
Even more concerningly:
I have now received THREE letters in regards to my old vehicle, which was sold to them as p/ex in October 2025.
- First letter was in December, this was a NIP from the police advising I’ve been fined for driving the vehicle without tax (I haven’t had the car for nearly 6 months). This has since been sorted after chasing multiple times.
- Second letter was from my old finance company stating I owed them approx £8,000 and that if not paid, solicitors will be in contact.
-THIRD letter ANOTHER fine of £80.
I NEED this rectifying and to never receive any more emails about a car I sold 6 MONTHS ago again.
Pre-sale service was excellent, and the car you receive from my experience is a good one.
Had I know what would come after sale of the vehicle, there is not a chance I would consider purchasing a car from the company again, which is unfortunate because they sell brilliant cars.
I now havent had a response in 3 days despite sending 3 messages to rectify the above two letters. I am spending time on my days off, worrying about solicitor and fine letters and they’re seemingly happy to say they’ll get sorted, and proceed to do nothing about them. I’ve been constantly told yeah it’ll be sorted, but in reality, have had no confirmation of any of this.
I am at the stage I’ve no choice but to contact my solicitor in relation to it all, with potential of just returning the car and voiding the sale due to constant failures to provide me with legal documents of the vehicle and the negative effect they’re having on my credit file and address.
Really quick shipping with secure packaging with my carplay undamaged. Screen is super responsive and the carplay module itself is really fast and boots up in seconds. The plastic is really great quality and fits my 2009 mk4 polo perfectly. I’d really recommend TheCarPlaceUk for your carplay units!!

Car play kit for Mazda 2
Received within 2 days, fitting tutorial spot on and fitted with ease in around 45 minutes. A really great piece of kit my granddaughter loves it, she programmed her phone in within a few minutes.

Absolutely great service from The Car Place. I purchased an apple car play screen/kit for my wife’s 2008 Peugeot 107 last week and all I can is I’m thoroughly impressed! From the kit being delivered nice and quickly to a little help via WhatsApp in regards to wiring the reverse camera I purchased additionally I can’t fault The Car Place at all. Thank you and I’m sure I’ll be purchasing again in the future!

Purchased a touchscreen apple CarPlay radio for my 07 civic type r, was amazed how fast it came and the quality is superb, everything works amazing, had a problem with setting it up and the car place responded so fast to my text and helped me with the issue in minutes. Highly recommend

Let's start with saying l never write reviews, but having received the best ever consumer service in my life l couldn't not do it. I ordered the android stereo for my pld polo and l couldn't fit it, l emailed the car place on Saturday afternoon and within 30mins received a WhatsApp message from Archie. He was amazing with explaining every single step on his Saturday afternoon for hrs, even when he was going out he was still responding and helping with installing the system. I had an issue with the system not switching off when engine was off and he asked for pics to sent to technical team. On Sunday afternoon l messaged asking if there was any news he said not yet, but he started yet another trouble shooting with me and we found out the l had connected a cable that was not supposed to be connected and it was solved. I was over the moon as I didn't have to spend a fortune for someone to do it for me. I 100000% recommend buying anything from this place, l would rather pay a bit more and get the most amazing service than cheap with biggest stress. But their prices are extremely competitive. Thank you so much Archie for helping me install it and for your time.

Wow! Ordered my Car Play NBT Box kit from Harrison @ The Car Place, what a seriously customer driven, "old-school" organisation.
The service was professional from the very beginning, the best price online and this NBT Box that i have in my f30 BMW is the quickest I have seen, normally they are really laggy, so I was so surpsied for the price.
