I am being required to push a star for rating-the Clarke family need a negative number. Where’s those stars?? This family boutique is a complete scam. I stupidly bought a sweater from them but when I wanted to return it, I got the runaround. And I wanted to return my item to the Clarke family in South Carolina instead I have to deal with someone from China. There is NO Clarke Family. It’s all a front. It’s unusable products, no refunds, no recourse, and you are stuck. Hard lesson!!!!

I purchased a sweater and when it came it was a cheap looking sweatshirt. Poor quality, states long sleeves..... 3/4 on me and my arms are short. Hood material was a cheap white fleece. I send them a message to return. Got the same BS that everyone that wants to return the item, you pay and it is overseas. Offered me 50% off the purchase in store credit. But would have to take $15 off for the shipment to me. I am so ticked. It was a Leila sweater and if there was a way I would show you the comparison of the featured product and the one I got. Do not purchase anything from them, it is a scam. It is difficult to write a review about the problem as they don't have that option. Found this area and wanted people to know, but I don't think it will be enough to have them shutdown. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM....I made the mistake and got a cheap sweatshirt for $60. Hard lesson to learn that there are scammers out there that arre laughing all the way to the bank.

Dress I ordered very cheap made, material not as described. Did not fit(even tho I went by their measurments), tried to send back. Would not give me an address to send back, asked for picture of dress before giving address, my computer messing up and could not send. They had order # why did they need picture. Bad business. I am just out about 55.00a nd dress I can't wear. After a few weeks they did offer tosend a dress for half price. You have to return item to China. Beware this company. I am senior on low income so this hurts an its hard to lose that much money. If I could give minus 0 I would.

Item not as pictured; very complicated return and expensive. Offered 50 percent credit and I could keep item! Why would I want to keep misrepresented item and order from them again?

What went wrong is that they do not stand behind their products which are of inferior quality and each time I connected to try to make a return during the 30 day return required,I got a different response from a different person in the company. Beware do not trust this company.

Ordered a dress for my Mom, I checked the website clicked on refund policy which said 30 day money back guarantee. Item arrived, nothing like the photo, rayon instead of linen-cotton so on and so forth. Could have gotten a better dress on Temu for $8. Contacted customer support and they’re throwing out formulated responses refusing to refund, offering store credit, saying I’m responsible for all shipping etc. Which, mind you, they don’t tell you it’s coming from China they tell you it’s free shipping in the US. Latest response also says ‘less $15 original shipping and taxes’, which the first replies didn’t mention at all. I’m filing a complain with the BBB for false advertising/predatory advertising and then disputing the charges.

BUYER BEWARE!! This is NOT a company based in the South Carolina or the USA. The shipments come from China and if you have any issue with your item, you are offered a fraction of the cost of your merchandise in STORE CREDIT. I have spent an inordinate amount of time requesting a refund.

Like so many of the other reviewers, I would give them 0 stars if I could. Totally misrepresented. The ad looks like some wholesome family run business in the Carolinas, but it’s a TOTAL SCAM! The fabric is a cheap polyester, not as advertised, and certainly not quilted. I can’t believe I fell for this! 😩

If only I could leave 0 stars! Horrible company, horrible customer service, falsely-advertised as a SC Family-owned local business. The only part local is the administrative offices. Cheap trash dresses are mass-produced overseas, so if you have a problem, their “money-back guarantee” gets you the opportunity to pay big bucks to ship items back overseas! Absolutely would NEVER spend another penny with The Clark Family! 😡

Poor quality, nothing like advertised. Took 6 weeks to deliver and I'm so unhappy. The dress is ugly and not even the color I ordered. They offer 100% store credit minus $15 shipping fee. The dress will go to goodwill and I don' think I'll chance another one.

If I could give a zero, I would. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE DRESS SHOWN on FACEBOOK. Definitely do not have a 30 day guarantee with your money back. There is a restocking fee of 20.00 AND you pay for shipping. Exactly what others say…they offer you to keep the dress (that you would NEVER wear) and off 50% discount on another one. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I’m not throwing more to them.

This company advertised on Facebook these beautiful dresses for middle-aged women. I ordered a dress and it looks nothing like the picture. The pattern is different, the fabric is different and it said to order one size bigger than your normal size and I did and it was too big. It's cheap Chinese crap. It says 30 days guarantee but when you read the refund policy it says you have to pay for shipping and duties to send it back to China at your own risk and then once they receive it you get 50% back. The customer service consists of them putting you off and then offering a 50% off another product that you don't want. So there is no money back guarantee and the products are not at all as pictured or described. I would never buy from this company.

ugh! Wish I would have researched before I ordered. These guys totally suck. Horrible experience. Waiting for partial refund but it was a 5x duel email encounter.

I will never order from this company again. I received my dress and it was too large and did not even come close to what was advertised on their website. It was a cheap Chinese printed dress and not the embroidered flowers and lace that was pictured. This type of dress sells for under $15 on Temu. Also, instead of arriving packaged in a beautiful box as pictured on the website, it was delivered in a cheap plastic bag. Upon inquiry to return, they are making me pay international shipping costs or a 50% refund to use on their site. What a scam! Do not buy from them. Now I am out $60 and can't wear this dress. I will never buy from them again. Buyer beware!

very poor quality cheap polyester..the picture showed a dress with embroidery and lace..a polyester printed dress arrived very cheap material .There is no response from company to return dress ..a scam !!

Just received a dress that did not match the color as advertised. Very cheap material. That was a lot of money and the quality isn't there. Should have looked up reviews before purchasing. I'm not spending more money to return it.

Merchandise ordered was not what I received. Long delivery time, cheap 100% polyester (advertiesed as 100% linen/cotton) summer dresses. Only the pattern was accurate, but dresses are terrible quality and unwearable. Requested a return. Told that return shipping would be expensive. Compromised by accepting a portion of my payment as a refund rather than shipping my order back to CHINA. Not to a sleepy town boutique in North Carolina. Refund has not been forwarded, although they claim they sent it. Ongoing battle to get that rather small, but psychologically important, refund into my account. I will NEVER buy from them again. And a warning to all who do - this is a scam. They should not be allowed to advertise the merchandise they claim to offer. Merchandise is awful, cheap, unwearable. Getting a refund is proving impossible...next step would be a legal attempt, but for the money involved it's not worth it. That is what this company is relying on. Stay away from them.
An update. Today is October 2, 2026: I am still in communication with this company which has still not refunded the dues they agreed to send me. They are stalling each and every day. Buyer beware. Don’t waste your money.

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased a dress. Poor quality, not even the length it was supposed to be, nothing on the tag to tell were it was made or how to laundry! I need to check out another place that was supposed to be from Texas... think I got snookered there too.

The quality is extremely poor. Very cheap looking fabric. I have emailed 2x regarding a return with no response from the company.

I should have known better! These clothes will cost more aggravation for me to return than to donate. Forget the cute southern storefront. This is the cheapest polyester. They look like linen on the models. I would not wear these to take out the trash.
