We approached Cooper Associates for the first time this year with a very complicated situation. We were anxious and very unsure what to do. Even though we have substantial assets we found the building societies with whom we deal were incredibly inefficient and unhelpful. Within a few days of approaching Cooper Associates we had a Zoom meeting with Tom Hayman. From the very first moment he put us at ease. He was friendly, caring, patient, knowledgeable and efficient. He found solutions to our dilemma and guided us through the whole process. He also helped our family to negotiate a first time mortgage. Tom took such good care of us, worked very hard and was good natured throughout. I would never go anywhere else and recommend Cooper Associates without hesitation. They are excellent in every way.

I would recommend Ben Graddon of Cooper Associates to anyone needing a mortgage broker. From the first moment we contacted him he has been extremely helpful, friendly and always quick to respond. If we ever call him we have always had a call back the same day and he has pushed things forward constantly from day 1. Even when our first purchase fell through, Ben quickly put through another application and reserved the rate within 2 days, and we had the mortgage offer through the next week. He has patiently answered all our questions (of which there were many) and has been lovely throughout. He is also sorting our life insurance applications. We would recommend him to everyone and will be a returning customer when our fixed term expires.

I recently completed on a house purchase and used Oliver McGeown as my mortgage advisor. His knowledge, advice and customer care far exceeded any of my expectations. Months before I started the house buying process I sought advice from Ollie as to my options and affordability, he then kept in touch and advised me every step of the way which was especially important in the ever changing mortgage market. Even phoning me to answer a question I had sent him in the evening- not expecting a reply until at least the next day. I honestly cannot recommend Ollie enough whether it is your first home or if you have sold and brought many times.

Myself and my partner had recently made the decision to give up our permanent jobs to travel and work aboard, before pursuing the purchase of our first home. Shortly after we booked the flights and handed in our notices at work Covid hit. Two years later; we were stuck renting, I was still on my third job and another temporary contract, my partner had become self employed, and it seemed our life savings intended for travel and then a deposit on a house would be lucky to stretch as far as a deposit at the rate house prices were rising...
Every mortgage advisor I spoke with told us that I would need a permanent contract and my partner would need a minimum of two years in self employment before we should even consider make an offer. That was until I spoke with James Pugh at Cooper Associates. He immediately put me at ease and was extremely optimistic given our circumstances (without building unrealistic expectations.) He was thorough, extremely helpful and communicated clearly and consistently throughout the process (of which we had zero experience with.) Thanks to James taking a chance on us and putting in the hard work, we were able to secure our dream home prior to the submission of my partner's first tax return as a self employed person and prior to me securing a permanent contract. The process was complicated and challenging at times, and I think in some ways we were very lucky, but without James there to advise along the way there is no way we would have made it here. We will be forever grateful and would highly recommend Cooper Associates. They also take no fee from the home buyer which is an added bonus!

So pleased with Cooper Associates - particularly with my advisor, Oliver Strong. From the start of the process Oliver kept us informed and up-to-date. He made contacting him super easy and convenient and really made buying a house (as a first time buyer) convenient and stress-free. Within a few days of speaking with Ollie we had a very clear plan of how we were moving forward with our mortgage and then a week or so later we had an official offer in place - which was no easy feat as there were multiple factors that limited our lender availability.

Since securing our mortgage initially, Ollie has also kept an eye out for rate drops and subsequently managed to secure us an even better deal just a few days ago ahead of our mortgage ‘going live’ when we need it.

Highly recommend Ollie, he made us feel at ease straight away and is a great advisor who clearly just wants the best for his clients and will make sure he achieves it. We will definitely be contacting him again in the future when our mortgage is up for renewal!

During times of uncertainty in the country, a new baby AND time for a remortgage, we were a little worried on our circumstances. However we used Cooper Associates and Oliver made us feel at ease and reassured us at every opportunity.

Cooper Associates were recommended to us by my husband's colleague. We initially worked with Paul who was great but due to health issues are case was taken over by Christo. The transition between the two brokers was seamless. Christo was amazing from beginning to end. Extremely diligent, professional and personable, he took all the stress out of securing a mortgage. I am self employed and my income was negatively impacted by the pandemic but he was still able to secure us a good deal. Christo would answer emails late into the night and on weekends which we would never expect of anyone. He always picked up his phone and if he was with another client, anyone of his colleagues were able to pick up our case based on the thorough notes left and great internal communication network. A special mention to Helen, Client Relationship Manager who kept on the case of the mortgage provider to 'hit the button'. We would not hesitate to recommend Christo or any of his colleagues at Cooper Associates.

As first time buyers we really had no clue where to start with anything. I found Cooper Associates through a Google search and I got a response very quickly. Jack was very patient and incredibly helpful, taking us through every single step of the house buying process and keeping in touch with us throughout. When we eventually got around to the Decision in Principle, the recommended lender would not agree to lend us what we needed. Jack went back to them to renegotiate and got us exactly what we needed which also meant we didn't need to put down as big a deposit as we thought which was really helpful for us. Communication is very good, as is the support and service provided. I would highly recommend to any first time buyer.
