My order was correct and in good condition including fresh gem squashes. It was delivered properly in the place I chose for it to be placed when delivered by Royal Mail.

I have never experienced any problems with orders from Savannah nor any of the products ordered. I find the members of staff very helpful.

Well right now I am so enjoying .my coffee and Muesli Ouma risks, grandchildren loving the Romany creams.👍

I am currently in UK - originally from Zimbabwe where my favourite veg was Gem Squash. They were always fresh, juicy and creamy. With that in mind I ordered a punnet of Gems from you thinking I was going to get the same quality as I remember. There is a local farmer who used to grow them but he stopped a while back hence my excitement at finding that you guys import them.
Sadly, I was very disappointed in the quality of those I received.
They had extremely hard skins that had already yellowed and extremely difficult to pierce with a fork as I used to do back home. They were also stringy and I had to cook them longer than normal to make sure they were edible.
All in all, I threw out the uneaten remainder (I ate 2 or 3) and decided not to buy anything else from your shop.

I've just received my first delivery from Savannah. Order No. 13636198334845. I'm delighted that my 10 bottles of Mrs Balls were so well packed that there's no breakages. My creamed sweetcorn tins are dented but that's okay.
My HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT is the koeksisters. I popped them in my basket as a little treat. They are tiny, over-cooked (very dark brown) and a bit dense. They are definitely not the treat I was expecting when I eagerly opened the box... and they are really expensive for such an inferior product.

I am very happy with the service I received from The Savanna. There was a mistake with my original order and a few items were missing, but after I contacted them, they responded and handled the issue very well. I really appreciate that they listened to me, trusted me as their customer, and arranged for the missing items to be sent. I received everything this morning and I am very pleased. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company responds, and The Savanna handled my concern professionally. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service. I am a very happy customer and would happily order from you again.”

I absolutely love the biltong. Reminds us of South Africa. This time we also ordered Ouma buttermilk rusks. Yummy!

Deliver on time

Wines are great. Koeksisters were disappointing

Bought several times from Savanna and have had a good experience but the test of a company is when things go wrong and they have totally failed. Meat arrived and clearly had been in transit for too long and products were room temperature i.e around 20 celcius. With chicken and boerie cant take a chance (especially since their own sticker says it must be delivered in a day). It has been 4 days since they told me i had been despatched. More concerning however is their apparant total lack of customer service. No reply to mails except an auto reply. No reply from the media manager who sent me a nice mail after my purchase thanking me and saying I can contact them if any problems. Crickets.

I received my order on time and my meat was cold which is good. Love the sausages absolutely delicious. I'm happy with their efficiency in communication and time frame of delivery. Prices affordable as well. Can't wait to order more

I was so excited to receive my goodies from South Africa and it was definitely worth the short wait. I work in a retirement care home and I was excited to let some try it out. A little tasty of SA. I especially enjoyed my Amarula drink. Also looking forward to the Gem Squads. Thank you so much!

I was over the moon receiving all my South African goodies. They arrived quicker than I expected. Would definitely use your company again.

There were items missing from the box which is very disappointing.
18 Hunters extreme and 2 Willards things not in the box.
But this morning another box arrived with the outstanding Hunters extreme, so I'm hoping the willards things will turn up tomorrow.

Very disappointing quality, nothing like the photos

The biltong I received was full of large pieces of fat, gristle and tough sinew. Much of it was extremely difficult to chew, and I ended up removing and throwing away a considerable amount, as you can see from my photo.

This is also nothing like the product photos online, which show lean, well-trimmed pieces without all this visible fat and gristle.

What makes it even more disappointing is that I have bought £3 packs of biltong from Sainsbury’s that were considerably better quality than this.

For a specialist South African food retailer charging a premium price, I expected much better-quality beef and much better trimming.

Poor value and very disappointing. I wouldn’t buy it againi
