Exceptional service and extremely fast turnaround

I had an excellent experience with The Spanish Group. They completed a certified translation for me, and after I made a few revisions to the original document, I asked them to update the corresponding sections of the translation. They accommodated my request without any difficulty and responded very quickly, even late in the evening. The turnaround time was impressive, and the team was professional, flexible, and helpful throughout the process. I truly appreciated their responsiveness and outstanding customer service and would highly recommend them.

I selected The Spanish Group because of their advertised turnaround time and certified translation services, but my experience was disappointing.

After placing my order, I was informed that my document exceeded their word limit and was asked to pay an additional fee. While this may be covered in their policies, it was not clearly communicated during the checkout process and came as an unexpected charge after the order had already been submitted.

I was also contacted and encouraged to purchase notarization services that I did not request or need - it was a negative customer experience to have what felt like an upsell. If I needed notarization, I would have added it on at check out. 

***Most concerning, the final translation contained a significant error that changed the meaning of the original document. It introduced false information that could have created issues had I not carefully reviewed the document myself.

I immediately requested a correction, which further delayed delivery beyond the quoted turnaround time. While customer service acknowledged my request, I was unable to obtain a clear timeline for receiving the corrected document.

My overall impression was that the process involved unexpected charges, unnecessary upselling/delays, and a final product that required customer review to catch a major translation error. For a service marketing itself for official immigration documents, I expected a higher level of quality control and customer service.

I’m so pleased with the service from start to finish. The entire process was very easy. I’m especially impressed by their attention to detail, I would definitely use their services again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for high quality translations services.

Excelente servicio y mi traducción quedó perfecta.

I paid for a certified legal translation of a court judgment and received a document containing significant issues with legal terminology, clarity, and consistency. After raising those concerns, I was sent a revised version, but many of the same problems remained.

Because my attorney could not rely on the translation, I was forced to hire a second certified legal translator at an additional cost of over $500.

What disappointed me most was the response. Despite providing specific examples and receiving a second version with ongoing issues, I was told no refund would be considered because the order had been “completed and delivered.” Quality is not taken into consideration.

For simple documents, this service may be fine. For legal translations where precision matters, my experience was extremely disappointing.

I almost forgot. The Spanish Group "translated" my manuscript for English to "Spanish". Apart from getting genders wrong here and there, for at least one character called female the character's pronouns were entirely masculine. I was charged "an arm and a leg" for shoddy work.

I placed a review in the wrong category. I called them immediately to cancel it or upgrade it. They tried charging me extra to notarize my documents, but all documents were apostilled which means they were all already notarized. They attempted to charge me 682 to translate 13 pages of school records in addition to the 300 they already stole from me. I'm still working on getting a refund.
