I to purchased the lifetime cloud storage offer by ThunderDrive IO about a year ago. I hadn't used it until recent, which brought me to observing many disgruntled customers understandably. My initial user experience with ThunderDrive wasn't good at all. I found it to be definitely a " work in progress" if not a scam. I would upload files, sizes ranging between 100mb - 7GB would sometime finish incomplete or just wouldn't be there at all. I've attempted to contact them on the matters a couple days ago. I've yet to hear back. However, with all that said, after a few experimentations or maybe under the hood maintenances from ThunderDrive's ITs, so far I've managed to find a workflow and uploaded over a 100 gigs of files within 2 days without any of the prior issues. As of writing this, I would say speeds are fairly decent. To upload a 1gb file took me approx 10-11 mins. Downloads for a 1gb file were under a minute. My conclusion, it's definitely not Google Drive, but for the $60 I spent, if they were to maintain the current stability I've experienced over the past day or so, I'll call this cloud service "DOABLE" for the amount I paid.

Avoid them. Service is never avaialble and they do not answer your request. if you store files there kiss them good bye. They are even a tad worse thann zooz (another cloud review I posted)
basically you cannot retrieve your files once they are uploaded. you may get lucky and retrieve the smallest files. at the time of this writing the site is not even available. so, save your money.

So far the only worth considering (review soon!) are:
sync.com
pcloud.com
both are really great.
keeping tabs on a welsh company, which seems good: icedrive. too early to review though

Update: my ticket NOT yet answered AFTER days but they tried to contact me here, how silly is that.site is back, still you only can retrieve one file each time, and only under 10 mb each. I rest my case, useless service and appalling service.
The irony? I cannot even delete my account as they don’t have the option to do so.

Very good service. Has backup and retrieval for cheap. I have not seen a service price this low. Hope they can sustain the business with more users.

Not 5 stars as: they are missing auto backup of photos from phones. (No phone apps or desktop apps). Their website keeps saying that the apps are coming next quarter (and then when the next quarter comes they just update the timeline to next quarter. This has been happening for past 3 quarters so seems fishy.

Bought lifetime storage. Now it doesn't even remember my email address. Complete scam.

I bought a "lifetime" membership for ThunderDrive Pro on iDrop News store; they sent me a redemption code, which I didn't use right away. The code expired, and when I reached out to iDrop, they referred me to ThunderDrive (thanks a lot). I've contacted them multiple times, and I get no response. So, now I'm out the money and have no online storage.

Lost money. I bought 4 TB of space. I used 4 GB. I tried to download 5 files, 0.25 GB each. I lost 2. I asked for help in solving the problem - no interest during the week. I was fooled, the company should die.

i bought a ThunderDrive Personal (500GB) - Lifetime subscription from tech deals, i created my account and followed successfully the redemption instruction, uploaded some photos, and now since feww days i can't access my account, the site give me the message that m email is not recognized in the data base, I can't even access my file, this service is the worst don't buy

In addition to the problems of the previous review, for some days the cloud has no longer allowed me to add new files.
Yet I only used 250GB of the 2 TB allowed.
Given the constant problems and the absence of customer service, I decided that I will buy some other cloud service, and I will abandon this that only made me waste money and time

I've been using Thunderdrive since 6 months o more. Everything works fine, even customer care works fine and fast. The only cons that I've found are: lack of a mobile app (iOS and Android), the fact that doesn't recognize identical file so creating duplicate of the same file and the impossibility to synchronize Pc folders.

I purchased the 2TB more than 6 months ago, and was never able to use it AT ALL
I log to my account create folders it doesn't create, try to upload files it tells me full storage though i have 0 files on it at the moment
uploaded one video when i purchased it now its gone
really disappointing with this....
Dont waste your money on a thing that is worth 0 literally

Terrible service. Non-existent customer support. I tried uploading a few folders totaling 45 Gigs of files. Took a long while, uploaded maybe half of the files. Familiar Google UI, without the reliability, speed and actual utility. No file sizes or count of contents. Slow as hell, if responsive at all. A dumpster-fire of a service, STEER CLEAR.

Stop Complaining!!! Maybe it is not a perfect product but very cheap storage, and file sharing solution.
I would love them to come out with the PC APP already!!!!
When they come out with the APP ill upgrade the Rating to 4 or even 5 stars.

Oh my God. I lost all my files. : (

4/6/2019 Now, all of a sudden, after I reported ThunderDrive.io as a HORRIBLE PRODUCT and also supplied TrustPilot with my receipt and copy of my purchase information, ThunderDrive.io NO LONGER RECOGNIZES MY USERNAME OR PASSWORD. I tried to do a password reset, but ThunderDrive.io no longer recognizes the email that I used to purchase this product. STAY AWAY! YOU don't want ThunderDrive.io!!! It has been a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

3/14/2020 ATTENTION TRUSTPILOT & THUNDERDRIVE. You again asked me for more information. I supplied my receipt demonstrating I purchased this product and gave you the name of the email account I used to purchase this product. I did the same for my last review, but apparently was too late so "ThunderDrive.io reported this review 2/25/2020 3:05 AM for violating Trustpilot guidelines." Which guidelines were used is not clear to me, but ThunderDrive would probably have a better product if they instead worked to improve their product and spent less time HARASSING customers and disputing LEGITIMATE REVIEWS!!

ATTENTION THUNDERDRIVE.IO. You asked me if I could share the account and the issue I was experiencing so you could help me. I have already done that. Your staff was less than helpful and your "help" consisted of using a "chat feature" on your website. You've had your chance. The review stands. Work on your product and stop harassing the people who purchased it.

NOTE: I was contacted by TrustPilot because they said they were contacted by ThunderDrive.io because ThunderDrive.io didn't believe I actually purchased this product. Unfortunately, I didn't see the email on time, so my review was removed. But I just sent TrustPilot my receipt from StackSocial.com demonstrating that I did, in fact, purchase ThunderDrive.io, and I asked them to contact me if they require additional information. Perhaps if ThunderDrive.io focused more on the usability and integrity of their products instead of challenging the integrity of people like me who paid for that product, I wouldn't feel the need to inform people about my experience so they don't make the same mistake!!

SO SLOW IT IS UNUSABLE
This browser-based cloud software is so slow that it is unusable. It literally takes between 10 and 12 minutes to display the file structure of my backup. In addition, when backing up files, it gets to a point where it just stops uploading. Customer service was very unhelpful. I advise against purchasing this cloud client, because I doubt they will be in business much longer!!!

Regarding the response I received from ThunderDrive.io about this review, my review stands. I have already tried to work things out with both you and StackSocial.com. I'm sorry. Your "help" directed me to use the "chat" option on your webpage and both your representative and the rep from StackSocial.com were less than helpful and focused primarily on getting me to change my review instead of fixing the product so it works. It's a cloud drive. In order to be effective, you should be able to upload and download files from a cloud drive. But ThunderDrive is so slow and useless that it can't even display a simple file structure of the files I think I was able to upload. I'm not the only person complaining. Fix the freaking problem and fix it soon!

I use thunderdrive to back up from my old computer. The data just vanished in two months.

Unresponsive support and unreliable upload.

I'm trying to upload folders of audiobooks and while the ability to upload folders exists, the uploads or incomplete. The uploads miss files in the folders, even if the files appear in the status window, they may not make it to the archive on thunderdrive. Subsequent attempts on just the files that did not upload, may get a few more into the thunder drive, However, there are file that will never appear on thunder drive. There is no upload log I can examine for reasons. Several attempts to reach support, through their ticket system on this issue have been ignored. I feel very embarrassed that I recommended Thunderdrive to friends.

UPDATE: Thunderdrive "reached out" 5 days ago, I responded immediately with the information they requested and there is no activity or improvement of the issue. I have dropped the rating to as low as I can go.

In my experience with this service, after my payment for a lifetime account, and 1 month of use, they slowed my service down to nothing. Loading any one page on their site now takes hours. Nothing uploads, loads, or downloads. My bank fraud department was notified of this scam. Dispute is the only way to get your $ back. They ask on the bottom for more information. Don't bother. I gave them my information, they emailed me childish insults as a response. Their score would be much lower than this 2/5 if they didn't abuse the policy of this service & censor truthful buying experiences.

UPDATE: Thunderdrive has tried to hide my review on Trustpilot multiple times already by incorrectly flagging it to keep it hidden. I'll keep re-posting it every single time they do this though to warn others. I have also contacted Trustpilot and requested to disable Thunderdrive's ability to flag reviews for no reason. ALL THEIR 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE!

REVEW: Also opening a chargeback like the guy below me. I literally just filled in a chargeback notice to Mastercard to get my money returned just minutes before posting this. Never had to do a chargeback before, but there is no way that I will stand for this.

Also, hilariously enough. As of the moment of writing this review the storage service doesn't even work. Instead all we get are "Whoops it seems something went wrong!" error message when signing in.

The merchant replies here on Trustpilot very quickly where he is incredibly quick to silence and block any negative review by falsely claiming the review hurts his intellectual property or privacy which is utterly ridiculous. However he doesn't reply even once after my PayPal dispute has been open for a week and he doesn't reply via email at all.

I currently have 2 disputes with this guy. One on PayPal and one now via Mastercard. Absolutely avoid this "company" like the plague. I should have known better. Google the company name enough and you'll find his other company "Planagram Co." and more information about how untrustworthy this guy is and all of the dissatisfied customers from that service. Keep following the trail and eventually you'll find more and more shocking information about this guy.

Every single positive review here is completely faked and they are all exactly alike. If it looks, smells and behaves like a scam then it is a scam. Follow through with your bank so this guy gets what he deserves, don't stand for anything less than a complete 100% refund.

One way or another I will get my money back and in the meantime I'll warn everyone to stay away from this guy. I doubt the website will last another month before the bank suspends him for fraud and Paypal does the same.

To Thunderdrive.io. I bet you thought people would just throw away their money. Hah mate, think again. You ain't getting a cent. Keep it up and it'll be a class action lawsuit for sure. If you're gonna try and take down my review, I'll upload proof to get it re-instated. Just try it!

I'm afraid that thunderdrive closed definitely the doors. Their website is not working Today. Hope this is only temporary unavailable.
Please give me a little hope they still alive.

Speed is very, very slow, after message that files uploaded successfully - there is not exist on the cloud. There is no response from customer support on complain. I am just loosing the money on 2TB purchases.
