I had bought 6 tickets for a concert…

I had bought 6 tickets for a concert but ehen 3 tickets were scanned, it showed the qr code had been used an hour earlier! We were there at opening. Complete scam - do not use this site, save your money. This ruined my weekend away with friends.

Furthermore, I'm still waiting for Ticketport to refund me the value of the tickets as per the emails I have received from them - until then, SCAM.

In no way is TicketPort a scam website, as most reviews on here will testify to. As disappointed as we are for customers that night the situation was out of our hands, however our reaction to the situation (both to verify and act) shows why TicketPort is a far better option than most ticket websites out there, including most primary agencies.

This review is misleading and as a small ticketing agency charging industry low booking fees we would appreciate if it could be updated to reflect what actually happened.

Firstly TicketPort states clearly that in some cases tickets can be delivered as close as 3 days before the event, this is just a policy of the venue/organiser and very standard with digital tickets. It would be the same regardless of your purchase point.

Secondly we appreciate customers do get anxious so we sent out an email on 31st May reiterating that the order is in safe hands and will be sent as soon as possible (reiterating it could be as late as three days before). So to say there was no contact is not true, although the customer may have missed the email in junk mail.

The tickets were actually delivered the day after this review and six days prior to the event, and we very much hope they had a great time at the event!

The tickets were genuine but the venue acted outside of consumer law and denied entry because they had been resold. We take these matters very seriously of course. It is extremely rare a venue would act like this and it would never happen at a major event. Of course the customer was fully refunded in this case thanks to our buyer guarantee, a protection you do not always get when buying on other websites or social media. TicketPort is not a scam, we only use fully verified ticket suppliers. Their anger should really be with the venue and we deplore their actions in denying entry to customers with legitimate tickets.

Bought 4 tickets for the P!nk concert…

Bought 4 tickets for the P!nk concert at Tottenham Hotspur stadium last night and they wouldn’t scan. I checked my email and received an email from them around midday that day to say that due to an error the tickets wouldn’t work and that new ones would be sent within 30 minutes by email, only the email never arrived. As there was no number on the site to call, I replied to the email and sent a message on their ‘contact us’ page of the their website in an attempt to get the new tickets sent. They replied to neither, and we were refused entry. Subsequent emails sent after the concert were never replied to either, the only response being a reply to this review on Trustpilot which I have updated since in order to reply to their response. Having checked company details, they are legit, but seem to have no infrastructure in place to deal with situations like this as soon as they arise. And perhaps if their customer services stopped responding to bad reviews in a way that makes Mr. Spock look like an emotional wreck by comparison, and proactively find ways of resolving these issues as and when they occur and showed a little sympathy, maybe the few unsatisfied customers wouldn’t need to write such scathing reviews. Just saying…

It took 5 months but I finally recieved a refund for these tickets from PayPal after citing section 75 of the consumer credit act 1974, which makes them jointly responsible for the transaction. After seeking legal advice, Ticket Port were found to be in breach of 3 of their own terms and conditions. They provided a product that didn’t work, they failed to replace them on time and then refused to refund me, telling me that I was at fault. The situation could’ve been easily rectified had they staffed a customer services desk at the venue.
Steer well clear until they sort themselves out.

Due to an issue with the venue ticketing system, we acted promptly to re-issue tickets on the day of the event. Every customer was notified by email and text message that new tickets were issued and the existing ones were no longer valid.

No other customer had an issue receiving the new tickets and accessing the event. Our support email addresses are monitored continuously so if they could not see the email within 30 minutes (as we clearly stated this was the time frame) they could have reported the issue and we would have resent it again.

Instead they attempted entry with the tickets that we told them were no longer valid.

We refer to our above comments. We provided a product that worked and on time. The customer received and email and text message stating new tickets were issued. This customer seems to bend the truth at every opportunity. No other person had a problem at the event using new tickets. The fact the customer continues to suggest that they were in no way at fault for using a ticket that we told them was invalid is ridiculous. The fact they are suggesting we have a staffed customer services desk at the venue (so presumably at every venue we sell tickets for) is completely impractical and would put so much extra cost on ticket prices, which no one would want just to cover a scenario like this. In fact we would think most customers would be annoyed to pay extra to cover a customer that acted this way, a service which almost no one would need. We have a remote customer service team that can respond to any issues on event days in minutes, which achieves exactly the same. We have nothing to suggest any legal team or PayPal have found us in any breach and the last correspondence from them awarded the case in our favor. The underlying reason that we cannot refund is because we are a marketplace and not the seller of the tickets, we cannot just refund customers when they are at fault unfortunately, as I'm sure you can imagine they would then take legal action against us. We provide a balanced and impartial view on when refunds are appropriate and where possible follow guidance from the event organisers in rare cases such as this.

Great experience

As with others, I was a little nervous at first buying tickets, especially as it was for Taylor Swift with lots of hype around availability, but the communications were excellent and when I had questions I used the email address and got prompt responses. Tickets were transferred to my Ticketmaster account 4 days before the concert and I had an email from Ticketport to confirm. All in all an excellent experience and I would use again. Thank you

No refund for cancelled show

I paid nearly £440 for two tickets to take my mum to see Barry manilow. Show was cancelled 1 hour before. Contacted ticket port for my money back to be told the show was postponed. No it was cancelled. While we were waiting in the queue to go in . I want all my money back . It cost me nearly £200 for the travel and hotel etc .Which I am out of pocket . Just refund my money .

It is very frustrating for all parties when events are postponed and we work with all customers in these cases. This event was treated as a postponement as the date was rescheduled, and therefore had to wait a small period of time for clarification from the venue and supplier. However we did all we could in the interest of the customer who could not attend the new date.

Excellent experience & great service

Used TP to get tickets for Ricky Gervais in Bristol - great site, easy to use - but always nervous about 3rd party sellers. Totally unfounded. Tickets arrived immediately by email and worked perfectly. TP even sent a nice reminder on the day - which again gave confidence. Now my go-to site for Tickets. vmt

Really excellent service

Really reasonably priced tickets. Very responsive to enquiries. Tickets sent out at the time they promised.

I was a little unsure of parting with money initially as I'd never heard of TicketPort. However the high Trustpilot rating is entirely deserved. Have already recommended them to lots of friends.
