New gel polish not good
I have been a loyal customer since the first branch opened in Fitzrovia but the service has declined recently.
First I keep booking a manual removal (eg no electric file) and I am always challenged on this, which is just because they want to save time.
Secondly they are now using their own brand of nail gel polish. With the original gel polish my nails would last 3-4 weeks. Now it is only lasting 7-10 days and already lifting. This has happened the last two times with 2 different colleagues so I’m sure it’s the product.
Considering the price of £70 which is much higher than other locations I don’t expect gels to be peeling off. I am also a busy mum and come here because once it’s done, I know it will last. I don’t have time to be coming back again after 2 weeks.
Sorry townhouse but think I will have to start going elsewhere which is sad.

Very Disappointed
My daughter paid for a luxury pedicure for us both to enjoy together. My daughter’s pedicure looked and seemed a lot more enjoyable than mine. It was my first time and I won’t be rushing back. The person doing my pedicure spent more time in the back of the salon than she did on my pedicure. My luxury pedicure finished quite some time before my daughters even though she started mine after. Whilst she was gone for so long it wouldn’t have been so bad had my feet been relaxing in the water but she just left me with tissue wrapped in my toes then to top it off she insisted on cleaning where I was sat whilst still waiting for my daughter. My pedicure felt rushed, it was definitely not luxury and not worth the money. I was very disappointed after looking forward to it for so long. Had I had the lady doing my daughters pedicure I would have probably rated a lot higher.

I am very disappointed and sad about my…
I am very disappointed and sad about my recent visit to Townhouse in Spitalfields as I have left with damaged and weak nails. I was not advised properly and the technician(s) seemed far more concerned about the time my treatment would take than the actual care and health of my nails. Two different technicians with clearly different levels of experience drilled away at my nails to remove the gel. Despite having told them I had a hospital procedure coming up and would have to have naked nails, no care or advice was given about the state my nails would be left in. I now have one hand of weak nails and one hand of paper thin nails (this hand done by the less experienced technician). On the paper thin hand one broke straightaway and I am spending my morning filing them all down ugly and short to attempt to get them back to some sort of health. I will not be returning to Townhouse as whilst it looks fancier than the high street alternatives, my main concern moving forwards will be to use somewhere that does not electric drill on my nails, I can literally feel the nail bed on one of my hands. Really sad about this.

Gels barely last a week!
Booked a gel manicure for my holiday. The booking system is absolutely awful to a fault, ie it doesn’t actually work correctly. However, more disappointingly, the gel manicure that is sold as supposedly lasting 3 weeks barely lasted 1 week. By day 5 two nails had started lifting at the top. By day 7 three tips had lifted and looked utterly shite. I’m now on holiday with another week to go yet with nails that are looking awful and catching on everything. Could have saved myself a fortune and had much nicer looking nails with some simple press on nails, but which I’ll definitely be doing instead next time! Absolutely awful gels. The worst I’ve ever had.
Updated post response: you did indeed email me. However that was relating to the debacle called the booking system. This review is due to the poor quality of the gel manicure which barely lasted a week.

Terrible customer service
I booked this pedi ahead of my wedding. On arrival, Iryna failed to greet me by name or even look me in the eye, just instructed me to sit at the station then walked off. After 5 minutes she returned and started filing my nails. On seeing I have a bruise under one nail, she continued to file but advised she may not be able to do a pedicure. I insisted she check that before continuing; she sent a WhatsApp to someone who replied with a single thumbs down emoji, on which Iryna announced I could not continue without a doctors note, I would be charged anyway, and sent away. She would not even do a file and buff, without paint. Margaret Dabbs gave me a medi pedi on the same feet 10 days ago with no problem. She was rude and surly and I do not believe this is a valid reason to not at least file and buff.

Love the salon and some technicians but very bad customer service. It takes hours for them to respond, they change appointments without leaving any time for me to accept or decline the change. They don't compensate for the inconvenience.
