Terrible online service and subsequent confusing customer service

Avoid avoid avoid!
To aid booking of same journey to Bali for 2 x 10kg cases and 2 x 23kg cases, my partner and I made two bookings at the same time (different laptops, different emails). Bookings went through and money shown as pending in our account immediately.
We had 1 email confirming Virgin flights had gone through and then a phone call from TT saying that the second one had not gone through! (Looked on Virgin and flights were still being offered.) My partner had to then book the same flights (for more money) on Trip.com. I called TT again to double-check my flight was still going ahead and was then told that there was no confirmation!!!! I had had an email saying there was a booking confirmation. (?)
Representatives Ramish and Solomon have said that first booking was going through and money would be refunded same day. Another rep 'April' said that I was then told to wait 1.5hrs for the 'Confirmation Dept.' to call me back.
Further reps have then said that refunds will be taking place within 72 hours. 1 hour later, TT were still saying that the first booking has not now been confirmed. Another rep came back and said it was confirmed. Such confusion! Argggh!

I decided to call Virgin Atlantic to see if they could help. Thankfully, Virgin confirmed that the 2 of us were booked on correct flights, and we should await the tickets.

We are awaiting refund of £821 flight amount.

Yesterday I booked a ticket through…

Yesterday I booked a ticket through Travel Trolley, but I was never sent a copy of the e-ticket. When I called them to follow up, I was told I needed to pay an additional £50 for seat selection, even though their website clearly stated that seat selection was included in the ticket fare at the time of booking.

When I said I was unhappy with the service and wanted to cancel the booking, I was informed that I would be charged £75 and that any refund would take up to 30 working days. I felt completely misled.

I asked to speak to a manager, but the manager was extremely rude and closed the phone call on my face. Very dishonest and unprofessional people. I would strongly advise not to deal with this scammers.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Took my money - says booking confirmed. Chose to book with them rather than direct with airline as it's was a mere £40 cheaper. Biggest regret as they now saying fare not available and cancelled my booking. No offer of alternatives, no human interaction or apology - just an insincere email. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

As per your reply: I do understand that fares aren't guaranteed (but this wasn't made known to me). Also, even if the fares changed, no one reached out to me with alternatives or tried to help with a resolution, just sent an insincere email with refund. I still needed the flights so had to look elsewhere as TravelTrolley was no help even after I called them on the phone to follow up. NOT HELPFUL at all. DEFINITELY AVOID.

I made a one-letter spelling mistake in the passenger name on my flight ticket.
I called several times and spoke to different staff members, but unfortunately no one was willing to help.
Andy was the only person who listened carefully and took responsibility for the issue.
He handled the name correction professionally and resolved everything smoothly.

Would give zero stars

Would give zero stars - first confirmed my booking, took the money then cancelled it - when I called to find out what happened a very rude Indian guy spoke over me, spoke rudely then cut the line when I asked how long a refund would take. Bunch of cowboys and crooks don’t book here. For reference if anyone from travel trolley cares to check how their imbecile employee spoke to me - my booking reference was ET70561

Feels dishonest

I have booked flights to Johannesburg but realized 25 minutes later that I choose the wrong date, they charged me £40 per ticket to amend the date although the price of the new flight was the same, and this is after giving me a supposed £10 discount per ticket from the “amendment fee”, I truly felt ripped off.
The flights are for September 2026 so I will update this review once the flights have been completed.

AVOID ! Unreliable and unprofessional service

Unreliable and unprofessional service. Payment was taken and confirmed, then I received conflicting emails saying the payment failed, was refunded, and the booking was cancelled. No clear explanation, no accountability. Caused unnecessary stress and wasted time. I would not use them again.

Scammers .

Scammers .. I booked a separate last minute ticket for me, my mum and dad .. paid for them and got a confirmation email saying that booking is in progress - As I didn’t get a PNR number I called and someone called Omer ( I think can’t remember the name ) told me that his team was looking into it and the ticket will be issued in a few hours . And if there is any problem they will contact me . Four hours later I still hadn’t received the ticket so I called them and the guy on the phone couldn’t find my booking and put me on hold and transferred me somewhere that no one picked the phone so I had to call them again and the guy called Jordan told me that again that there was no booking and he can’t do anything and we will get the refund in 24 to 72 hours - it’s funny that it took them few seconds to take the money.. If they didn’t have tickets why did they show on their website and let us book He said that he couldn’t see any tickets on that flights. And offered another one for much higher rate . Now only my dad’s ticket is confirmed and other two no booking . No one bothered contacting us to let us know about this until I called them . Do not trust this company not trustworthy unreliable and scammers l.

Pointless booking, waste of time

Booked some flights today and shortly afterwards got an e mail to say my company credit card payment wasn't authorised so I had to call them. Ive never had an issue with this card and I've used it all over the world.
I called in and was told my payment would be refunded and I should book directly with the airline. Why didn't they ask for payment some other way instead of just telling me to book somewhere else ? Surely they would want my business?
Something fishy going on here, I guess in the absence of a valid explanation they couldn't get my flight at the quoted price.
Totally pointless booking and waste of time and effort. I wont be using them again.

I had a really great experience booking…

I had a really great experience booking my flight with Samuel from travel trolley. From start to finish, he was extremely helpful, patient, and professional and took the time to explain all my options clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt confident with the booking before proceeding.

What I appreciated most was how responsive and reassuring he was especially when I had concerns about timings and luggage. Everything was handled smoothly and efficiently, which took a lot of stress out of the process.

Absolutely useless agents

Absolutely useless agents. When things go fine, they are OK but when you need something resolved they are experts in pushing you around. Any flight changes, they will ask you to contact the airline directly and the airline will ping you back to them saying you booked via agent so nothing can be done by them. Beware!

I would give zero , don’t book

I would give zero , if I could . I have booked with travel trolley in the past without any problems but this time , I booked a ticket for 3 people and paid for 3 and the confirmation email I got was only for 1 passenger whereas I clearly put the details of all 3 passengers and within a minute I called the customer service and the agent Manvi was so unhelpful and said there is no glitch on the website and said I will be charged 105£ as a cancellation fee .
Common it’s first of all glitch at your website as I myself entered all 3 passengers name and it only booked for one and secondly I called within a minute of it and still being asked to pay the cancellation fee as there was no help whatever so ever . You have my money and that is why saying will be charged the cancellation fee . You guys are big thieves.

Thus, before making the payment, it is the passenger's responsibility to check all the details, such as the name, number of passengers, and flight details.

It is possible that you may have entered the passenger details incorrectly, or they may not have been saved properly. Otherwise, it would not be possible for you to have selected three seats and we only charge you for one.

Further, we would like to clarify that once a ticket has been issued, a cancellation fee will apply. As per our fare rules, the ticket you booked was non-refundable. However, since you contacted us on the same day of booking, the booking was cancelled with minimal charges.

Was accepted and then booked my
Hotels on the back of that.

A few hours later Travel Trolley cancelled my booking due to not having enough seats.

They do not have seats. Don't book. You will regret it.

Thanks for the reply but we all know the decision to cancel the flights was so they could be resold at an obscenely higher World Cup price.
It wasn't as if the price I paid was cheap but you wanted to fleece fans as much as possible.

I shouldn't have been penalise because you were slow to increase your pricing structure.

Rebooked with TravelUp and they have been first class. Would recommend them every time over TravelTrolly

Outstanding service and support.

I booked an emergency flight back home to go support family. Unfortunately the seat availability wasn’t to be. The very kind gentleman Kunal came to my rescue and sorted it all out for me. A deeply unacceptable ordeal



A deeply unacceptable and distressing experience.
I booked three tickets for April 2026 through Skyscanner and was directed to Travel Trolley for payment. They immediately took a £2,000 payment, yet no tickets were issued for five days. When I contacted Travel Trolley, I was told the booking was “invalid” — despite them already taking the full amount.

In my opinion, this behaviour is completely unethical and feels deliberately misleading. I strongly warn others to avoid Travel Trolley and to be extremely cautious when using Skyscanner, as my experience has shown that neither can be relied upon. This ordeal has cost me significant money, time, and stress, and I believe the matter warrants investigation for potentially fraudulent conduct .

An absolute scam of a company

An absolute scam of a company. Received a booking confirmation email, with what was a valid booking reference. Was then phoned by their call centre telling me the payment had not been authorised and that the money was being returned. Was told to contact their customer service and rebook over the phone. Called to today and to my surprise when I checked my bank before the call the payment was still pending in my bank. The agent left me on hold for 5 minutes, and she came back to the phone telling me to check my bank to see if the payments returned, it had meaning she’d gone away and reversed the payment. She then tried to usher me into making a bank transfer over the phone at which point I realised this is a scam company and hung up. Absolute appalling that this company is listed on Skyscanner as a trusted trader. I will visit their head office next time I am in London.
