Investment, Aid and Climate Compensation in one
During 7 years with Trine, my average interest is slightly better than an ordinary bank account –despite/because of some defaulted loans.
This might not sound as the best of investments, and it isn't – if you're looking for maximum profit only.
But as a combo of 3—investment, aid and climate compensation—it's outstanding!
Your money does double (triple?) good, and you get them back with interest. Win, win, win!

Been investing sporadically since 2017
From the beginning I was very enthusiastic about doing my part, avoiding co2 etc.
But the returns or should I say, the lack thereof, have made me a very cautious investor.
As of right now my portfolio is about -13% (30+ loans, 8 defaulted!!) since the beginning. The interest rates really don't reflect the risk. IMHO 10-15% would be more realistic. I do use other platforms for investments and most of them have almost twice the interest and what I can remember I only have one defaulted investment over any of those sites.
The homepage really needs some upgrading though. Pleas give me som graphs. Its very uninformative about you economy. But you do get a lot of information what you're loan achieves, i.e. co2 avoided, people with electricity, gender equality, affordable energy etc. There's even a co2 leaderboard...
