Login was broken

Due to a bug of twine i was not able to access my account.
Since the data about me was public i wanted to delete that account which is not possible without accessing.

Support finally deleted my account.

MISLEADING This may not be their intention

This may not be their intention, but the process feels misleading. I discovered Twine through LinkedIn, where vacancies are advertised, only to be redirected to Twine and required to subscribe in order to apply. From what I’ve seen, there’s no real assurance that these roles genuinely exist or that applying is worthwhile. Platforms should charge fees only when applications are successful; otherwise, there’s little incentive to actually fill vacancies. I won’t be using Twine again in the future.

To clarify how Twine works: we are a freelance platform, not a recruitment agency. Companies post real, active projects, and freelancers apply directly to clients.

On popular jobs, we place a limit on the number of free applications to prevent clients being overwhelmed. Once that limit is reached, only Twine Pro members can apply. This is clearly shown on the job page, but we understand it can feel frustrating if you discover it after clicking through from elsewhere. There is a free trial offered to people who come from LinkedIn.

Twine Pro is optional and gives freelancers more applications, higher visibility, and access to apply to all jobs but like any freelance platform, it doesn’t guarantee work.

We’re sorry this wasn’t the experience you expected, and your feedback is genuinely helpful as we continue improving how clearly we explain the process.

I recently completed a job on Twine…

I recently completed a job on Twine where the client paid via Direct Payment. According to Twine’s information, direct payments are processed immediately, but freelancers may receive the funds within up to 14 days.

My question is: Is payment automatically released to freelancers after the 14-day period, or can delays still occur even when the client has already paid?

what the client need to do again ??

Thanks for your question. We’re happy to clarify how this works.

When a client chooses to pay through Twine (including Twine Vault), the payment is released to the freelancer once the client confirms the release. After that release, payments are processed within up to 14 days, depending on the payment method and banking timelines.

If the client has already released the payment, no further action is required from them. The payment will be processed automatically within that timeframe.

If the 14 days have passed since the release and you still haven’t received the funds, please contact our support team at support@twine.net
with the job details and we’ll investigate right away.

No refund No Value.. A Waste of time and money!

I subscribed for free month trial, they took 18.55$ from my card and stated that I can have my money back if I canceled before the end of the month. It's like every other free trials I saw in different places, so I used the platform for that month and canceled my subscription before it ends. HOWEVER; those Stealers refused to give me a refund. They said we are not even offer free month trails! It's like they are saying I was blind when I subscribed.
The disappointing thing is that I got nothing from this, no clients and no offers. Most work offers are scams. This is a very bad website, beware, don't waste your time and money on it!

To clarify, we do offer a free trial via a promo code, but it must be applied during checkout to activate. If you were charged, it means no trial code was used.

Our refund policy (linked here: twine.net/refund-and-cancellation) states that refunds are only available within 7 days of payment and if the Pro account hasn’t been used. In this case, your subscription was most likely active and used, so unfortunately, we couldn’t issue a refund.

Money Pit...

To me, this is a scam!
You have to buy the "job"...

I have not seen a single job listed there, where i would not have to pay a fee, just to apply.

As a freelancer i really dont have money for that.

Scam

Scam , utter scam , so many jobs posted constantly, acting like there is a huge amount of work available only so you sign up and pay them a subscription cost that won't lead to any actual work , don't fall for it , it's just another scam site , I'm a 100% sure that all those positive reviews are just from hired people to do reviews

Side note , as I got a reply stating some roles are available for free users , they do not mention in their reply that as a free user you're pretty much just limited to 2 applications before they cut you off for not having a subscription

2 applications I got through after that it was nothing but you can't apply for this go pro now , when they say some it means nothing

This company is definitely a scam be very careful. You book with a freelancer on their website. Money is held Afterwards the freelancer delivers horrific work that has nothing to do with what you hired them for. You reach out to customer service from Twine and they say well we released the funds to the freelancer. We felt they did a great job. How is this even legal. Let’s say you hire someone to create an animation about boats. They deliver a video about cars and the company sides with them saying they did their job. That’s insane do not ever book with this company Twine.net you will regret it and waste your time trust me they are in it for the money collecting the small penny fees from each transaction. Hope they get shut down soon

We understand you didn’t feel the result matched your expectations, but from our side, the brief was not entirely clear, and your feedback became increasingly difficult for the freelancer to work with. While they could have communicated better, this is a vetted freelancer with a long track record on Twine, and we ultimately felt they delivered a reasonable version of the work based on what was provided.

To clarify: we only release funds from the Twine Vault after a dispute is assessed. In this case, you escalated the matter multiple times, and we responded each time. We also refunded you for the second freelancer hired, even though we weren’t obliged to, because we wanted to be fair.

We’re always transparent about how the platform works. Our goal is to support both clients and freelancers, and in difficult situations like this, we do our best to be objective. We’re sorry this experience didn’t meet your expectations, and we wish you the best in your future projects.
