Avoid like the Plague
From the start they have bombarded me with constant calls, pressuring and tricking me into buying services that aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. As a fairly new business, I was naïve to the tactics these companies use, and between January and April they’ve taken over £7,000 from me. Most of the time I didn’t even realise I’d “agreed” to anything — they twist conversations and make it sound like you promised something on a previous call.
To make matters worse, I ignored their emails asking for access to my Google Business profile, so they’ve gone ahead and built some sort of website I never asked for, and now they claim I owe them £2,200. I did not agree to this.
You can’t get your point across on the phone because they don’t let you speak. These so‑called “verbal contracts” have got to stop. I work incredibly hard to keep my business going, and companies like this take advantage of people who are just trying to get by.
Do your research — like I should have — and avoid them like the plague.
I am requesting that Trading Standards investigate this company’s conduct, particularly their use of verbal “contracts,” high‑pressure sales calls, and unauthorised service creation.

Well over £2000 lost!
I was sold an SEO package by Unitel Direct on the promise that my business would achieve Page 1 rankings on Bing and Yahoo across multiple domains and keywords. It was presented as a professional, tailored SEO service that would genuinely help grow my business.
In reality, this has cost me well over £2,000 and delivered very little in return.
I paid £178.80 per month for months, and on top of that was later forced to pay a further £715.20 just to escape the contract, despite the service not being delivered as promised.
What I actually received:
Low-quality, generic “mini websites” that did not properly represent my business and even contained incorrect wording.
Backlinks that were not industry-relevant at all, despite being sold as industry-specific.
For the majority of the contract, the sites did not rank competitively.
Months of wasted time due to being incorrectly advised to redirect the sites, which I was not properly warned would stop them ranking entirely.
Extremely slow responses and poor communication when problems were raised.
When I complained, I was told the service was “fulfilled” simply because at some point one page briefly appeared on page 1, even though this clearly was not what had been sold or what I had been paying for.
When I tried to terminate due to poor service, I was met with aggressive contract enforcement and threats of being charged the full remaining contract. In the end, I had to pay a reduced settlement on top of everything I’d already paid just to get out.
This has been a stressful, time-consuming, and very expensive lesson for a small business. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think very carefully and not trust the sales pitch.
I wish I had never signed up.

I DO NOT recommend you use this company
I had quite a positive experience in the first couple of months, they were very attentive and made any changes I requested.
I have a landing page (not worth the money, don’t be fooled into thinking it will work) and they built me a website, which was finished in April 25, to date I have not had one order!
They kept telling me I was ranking well and on the first page of google, that the site was running well and all links are working…so why no sales at all?! I was doing better on Shopify!
Be very mindful, that if you want to cancel their services you must give them 30 days notice, I have asked a few times over the term what the renewal price was going to be but never got an answer. This is the ONLY company that DOES NOT send out renewal notices, I got stung with renewal of the landing page of £799 and had a big disagreement with them and then they go and do the same thing for the renewal of the website demanding £1740.
I would not use Unitel ever again and would not recommend, they haven’t done anything for my business and I have spent thousands. Their attitude is you are getting noticed but “we can’t make anyone buy from you”
I am very frustrated and disappointed to say the least!

Scam!
Scam! This company have created 2 landing pages for me of which I have had 0 leads and 0 jobs. I have even been advised that these pages are negativity effecting how my website page scores on Google.
I have complained advised I had to pay £780 for nothing. I have asked to remove the pages as I have paid them already and the answer was no they could only stop the auto renew. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUSINESS OWNERS!

They sell you dreams about getting 10-15 calls a day on advertising I was with them for whole 12 months and did not get 1 phone call from the websites they created for me and at the end of the 12 months they tried to say that the contract is a roll over contract which they didn’t say nothing about in the beginning when I joined with them they told me it was a 12 month contract and I would not be tied down to renew once the 12 months is finished ! Now the 12 months has finished they are trying to tell me I must cancel the contract 40 days prior to it ending which is a scam alone because they did not tell me this on the phone and they also forced me to leave a review for them before they had even created my websites it makes sense now why they were soo desperate for the review as there services are not true and they tell lies..
Also when i rang up to speak about this and could not answer my questions about why they force me to leave a review and she hang up the phone on me and now they are trying to get debt collectors involved threatening me with this!!
PLEASE AVOID….

Auto Renewal Contract - Mis Sold
Terrible experience with this company, terrible results from the initial 12 months work which gave us very little response, not one customer mentioned the landing pages created and show zero increase in work in those areas. Only to be told the contract was on auto renewal and being forced into completing a further year and now threated with debt enforcement/CCJ. Maybe if the product was good enough to start, wouldnt need auto renewing contracts - BEWARE

Unfortunately this company, mission is to get as much money as possible from you. Their sales tactics are questionable at best. They prayed on my vulnerability and refused to provide money back. Citing their no cooling off period. This is despite clearly discriminatory tactics to those with a vulnerability.
Despite appearing confused, not knowing what I was signing up for. Despite stating I didn’t do one particular aspect, they preyed on that vulnerability and continued to plough ahead with their tactics.
I am now looking to consider legal action for their discriminatory tactics, discriminating to those who are vulnerability.
Consider avoiding at all costs.
In addition this company get you to review each month. When you have positive experiences. They get you to mention names individually and even for the tiniest contact ask you to review positively. They say it’s for their appraisals, no it’s for the tactic of bombarding trust pilot with top reviews. To try an outweigh the numerous bad reviews.
And before you give an answer of ranking on the first page. That’s not the question, the question is your tactics praying on people. Confusion, mental health and cancer operations. Despite this your company refuse to do the right thing.
You make it awkward I notify you they i want to cancel. So I give you almost 8 months notice despite this you say you can’t take cancellation so far in advance. Another discriminatory tactic against somebody with vulnerabilities. Hoping that person will forget and get confused. Be aware of the shady tactics. Once you reach the contract end dates and before.

Zero stars - Never told me it was a rolling contract when I took it out. Was in hospital with Covid so was unable to give notice to not renew. Gave them 2 weeks notice instead of 30 days that I did not want to renew due to not had a single sale from their service had very rude emails from Megan after telling her I had Covid so was unable to give 30 days notice and was not informed it was a rolling contract and that I had been off with Covid. Didn’t care just keep threatening me with debt collectors. Money grabbing company with extremely rude staff. Take my advice and your business elsewhere.

As I said I’m moving house so everything is boxed up so I dont have a hospital admittance form to give you. I still gave 27 days notice only 3 short from your requirements. I don’t see what the problem is.

They did not deliver on the services they claimed they could provide, and much of the information they sent me about supposed “business improvements” felt misleading. After having an independent team review their reports, none of the data aligned with what the company had been presenting to me.
When I raised these concerns and asked to speak with someone, I was met with hostility, and at one point I was even told, “You’re tied into another year with us, so deal with it.” I found this response extremely unprofessional.
When I attempted to cancel the contract based on the discrepancies I uncovered, I felt pressured and intimidated, including warnings about legal consequences that could affect both my personal and business credit.
