I can see your account is no longer active, but saying we are a scam is simply not true...

We tried multiple times to work with yourself to help maximise your businesses online exposure. You were called monthly from our care team who were met with your answer machine or you disconnecting the call. I can see you recently spoken to a customer services representative and got your issue resolved regarding companies house.

Just after your money. No customer services. Service poor.
Make sure you leave 45 days before hand as if not you’re stuck with them another year.
Staff are rude when communicating and SE - senior marketing it the rudest of them all!

Extremely disappointing…

I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with Unitel Direct, and I want to warn others to read every part of the contract very carefully. When my contract expired, I discovered that unless you provide written notice via email 30–45 days before the end date, they automatically renew your contract for a full year. Once it renews, they refuse to cancel it. They also do not send any reminders before renewal, which makes it far too easy for customers to get trapped in another year.

On top of this, the service did not deliver what was promised. I received little to no leads, and it felt like I was paying for nothing. Customer service was unhelpful and repeated the same contractual statements instead of addressing the issues. In my personal experience, this renewal setup feels very unfair and customer-unfriendly.

When I later checked for reviews, I also noticed the ability to leave feedback seemed unavailable, which was concerning from a customer perspective.

I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my experience.

We are quite shocked to receive this review, especially considering that the website we built for you is ranking on the first page of Google for your main keyword and area.

Not only are you ranking on the first page, but you're the first listing. So I'm struggling to understand how you think we've not delivered on a service, we actually only guarantee Bing, yet you're ranking on Google, Bing & Yahoo. We do not and never can guarantee leads, all we can do is place your business in the places that your customers are searching for you.

Moving on to your comments about your contract, as with all contracts in the modern world, they auto-renew and if you don't wish to have them, you need to cancel in the allocated timeframe.

I've arranged for one of our Customer Service agents to give you a call regarding your complaint.

Predatory Behaviour – Exploited While Vulnerable

Unitel Direct’s conduct has been utterly disgraceful. I was contacted on my personal mobile regarding a business I had inherited, a small retail business with no online presence, despite having no understanding of online or computer services.
At the time, I was undergoing cancer treatment and awaiting a hysterectomy, drinking heavily and using cannabis daily to cope. My partner had suffered a mental breakdown and left the family home, and I was grieving the death of a colleague of 18 years. I was in no state to make decisions, and both sales agents were fully aware of my vulnerability and intoxication.This behaviour is predatory and unacceptable. It breaches the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and ignores clear guidance from regulators that vulnerable customers must be treated fairly. Unitel Direct showed zero duty of care and instead exploited my circumstances for profit.
No one should ever have to endure what I experienced. Unitel Direct preyed on a vulnerable, grieving, and intoxicated customer, and their actions have left me deeply distressed. Avoid this company at all costs.

Very poor service

Very poor service, all it is just to take a payment from customers and you hear from them again when contract is about to expire.
Completely waist of money and time!

I would like to stress that I will not be renewing my contract with this company as nothing seems to actioned how I want it to be! They obviously do not understand my business and I feel I have been talked into something that I do not need at a cost £500 where things have not been actioned or followed up since July and we are now in November

A scam company

A scam company. Stay away.
I first signed a contract with them on November 23, 2023, with the promise that they would help bring my salon to the top of Google Business search results. After one year, nothing had changed. When I called to cancel the contract, I was told that I would have to pay the same amount as the full-year contract fee. So I had to wait another year — until today, October 29, 2025 — to cancel it, only to be informed that I needed to cancel the contract 30–45 days before it expired. That means I was too late, and the contract was automatically renewed for another year.
So in total, that will be three years paying this scam company (nearly £4,000) without getting anything in return.

Scammers don’t use this compny

No you haven’t none of you team member came back to me a whole year and how can you said that to me that google on page 1 you said you are taking companies on the top of google how many companies you are dealing with so all of those companies you put on page 1 even google will confuse that how come only one compny taking all of the companies on page 1 so you got 100 companies did you take all of them on page 1 so where is the other 99 companies number
And also for the recovery of you debit how can you ask for another year of contract when you ain’t do the shits I told Jason and Satvir cancel my contract and give me my refund and they said we won’t give you refund but your contract is cancelled so after a year you guys are doing this don’t worry got all of proof and see you in court

From looking at your account I can see your generic domain name was ranking on Page 1 of Google within 2 weeks of you coming onboard which is fantastic! You were not ignored and you spoken to multiple members of different departments.

That's a very bold and untrue statement you've signed off your review with. Frankly, it's defamatory. Of course, we ask for customer feedback, good or bad, this helps us improve and build on our product and the service we aim to provide but to say we pay for our reviews is simply not true.

I can see you are currently liaising with our debt recovery department regarding the account so I will leave your account in their hands.

Crooks, beware of outrageous terms, take your money for nothing!!

Let me tell you about Unitel Direct Ltd. They are masters at taking your money by locking you into contracts with outrageous terms.

They claim you can’t cancel your contract more than 30-45 days before your renewal date. Meaning if your contract is due to expire in May, you cannot send formal notice of writing in January saying cancel it in May or don’t renew it.

This is the first company I have seen that not only has a minimum notice period but also a maximum notice period. The notice has to be within the 30-45 day window (at least 30 days before but not more than 45 days before). Classic entrapment.

Furthermore, another outrageous term on their website; If you catch them out charging you for nothing you have to give them an opportunity to put it right. Basically saying No you can’t just cancel and we’re sorry we stole your money and gave you nothing in return. We will make sure we do something now.

Then the final nail in the coffin, if you appear even once in a 12 month period our service is delivered. But they charge you every month.

Absolute crooks, they create rubbish 1 page landing sites my 10 year old could do. Then charge you £600 a year for nothing.

Jason R Basak was speaking with me today and his professional manner and his confident knowledge of the company enabled us to arrive quickly at a resolution of the considerable problems I have endured since notifying Unitel Direct of the closure of my company many months ago! He is the most helpful person of the many with whom I have attempted to reach closure and I strongly recommend his approach and the experience of dealing with him. It has gone some way towards redeeming the negativity I have previously associated with his company. 17-20-2025.

These people are genuine scammers. They trick you into paying for advertising of your company on Google which never happens. They advertise you on search engines that no one uses. Trying to end the contract with them is a never ending process. They don’t let you cancel in advance even if it was already paid for in advance or they claim money for things you haven’t signed up for. Will take them to court to end this.
I wish there was a 0 star option. Their 5 stars reviews are totally fake
