Do NOT do a contract buyout with them
I did a contract buyout and reimbursement with us cellular. I was told that if I paid off my final bill, I would get a gift card that I could use to reimburse me for the amount I paid. I went through the entire process and I just received the gift card today. However, it was a virtual card that I can’t use for anything besides online shopping. I am not able to use it to pay off the card that I used in the first place to pay the final bill. I was told basically that I was sh**t out of luck by the escalation team. He kept telling me ‘I would use it towards Amazon’. No, I was told and under the pretense that I would be able to be reimbursed. It was a lie. A scam. I can’t even connect it to a digital wallet like Apple. And after activating the card, it states I can’t use it for cash or atm transfers. So I am out of luck of 650$. And for a 25 year old in this economy, I feel like I was scammed.

T-Mobile sucks
I live in the woods, after trying several cell companies US cellular worked great for 20 years even inside my metal shop building with the doors closed.. Now T-Mobile bought them out I have no service at my house or shop. They are turning off towers to see which ones they can delete and I guess mine is one of them.. The guy at the store and the tech at customer service says there is nothing they can do about it... T-Mobile Sucks!
Totally unhappy
Had to upgrade six lines because they said my old phones would stop working “SOMETIME” No time frame given.
On data transfer they deleted all of my apps. They deleted half of my contacts. Odd, the ones I use the most. Screwed up setups. Two days to rectify. This was Elkins WV US cellular store.
US Cellular stinks, since T Mobile took over.
They changed the billing date, when T Mobile took over, and I paid Decembers bill on 11/28 and today they say I'm overdue, so I paid Decembers AGAIN, on 12/29. Those of us in this house, are in our 70's. How about a senior citizens discount.

I have been in US Cellular customer for almost 30 years. I've had the same phone number with them for 28 years. Up until recently I have always received great customer service. After the merger with T-Mobile and a new manager named Maria Remillard that has all disappeared. I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy s25 2 months prior to the phone completely dying. I went into US Cellular and spoke with a great representative name andrew. He is awesome. My only option was to mail the phone back to Samsung at which point I would be without my phone for 7 to 10 days. I work as a US Coast Guard licensed Captain as well as I do training and safety and rescue a lot of my jobs are same day or I get to call the night before. I also do some other things that are very reliant on my phone. I had to buy a second line and the second phone to make sure that I had a phone because US Cellular of Augusta on Senator Drive did not have any options for me to have a loaner phone or anything. They just expected me to go without my phone keep paying on it and keep paying for my service was absolutely nothing . It was escalated to Maria who is the regional district manager and she did nothing. Of course when Samsung got the phone it turned on and they sent it right back. When I went to activate that phone it died again and it went back into US Cellular where the amazing representative name Andrew helped me again. I asked for a new phone and I said this isn't fair now we're going on a month. I was told that his regional manager would not help me. He would not give me her name because that's company protocol but I found it by googling. Her name is maria. She has treated me like garbage. I still am without a phone over a month later. She does not care that I have an important job that I need a phone for she does not care that I was forced into buying a second phone in the second line she does not care that my phone is broken she does not care that I'm still paying on that broken phone and for a service I cannot use. She has offered absolutely zero options with solutions. She simply said that I went past the two weeks that her office guarantees my phone. I said with a customer that has been paying you tens of thousands of dollars over 28 years there must be something you can do to help me out? I still sit in the darkness. I'm filing a report with the Attorney General's office that I already started and will be following up. US Cellular makes so much money and they're making money on me right now on stuff I can't use and they will do nothing to help me out. I simply asked for a new phone . I asked for a credit on the time on my account that I have lost when I was paying for it that I couldn't use it also a credit added for the three days I now have invested in trying to get help from us cellular. She has denied all of it. Absolutely one of the most horrible customer service experiences I've ever had. I will be filing these complaints at the Better Business Bureau the consumer protection division at cfpb the Attorney General's office and I'm going all the way up the food chain at us cellular. I told them many times I studied law in college and I told them if they didn't help me they would paint me into a corner and they literally just basically told me to pound sand. Seems like a good customer service district manager would say look give him a new phone this happens once in awhile but no I've been offered no assistance. Still have a dead phone still using the second line I had to buy and I am more than angry now. I would highly recommend staying away from them because with this new district manager Maria , US Cellular is not where you want to go get your phone.
US CELLULAR service area
I lived in Wisconsin for a decade while there US cellular was fine. Moved to Mississippi. Service degrade. One phones were paid off switched to ATT on 17Nov2025. Billing period for us cellular ended on the 9th. They charged me a full month for 8 days and couldn't mail me a bill out of there service area so, I also had a 7 dollar charge to pay over the phone because the had locked me out of my digital account after switching.
Bottom line there service was fine in Wisconsin if you ever think you'll move outside there service area sign up with anyone else.

Well most of the time the thing works fine some dead spots but that'll be expected but when I'm paying 200 dollars a month I expect to be able to call whenever I want it's so upsetting when I can't I can't run my business if I can't call it's been ragebaiting me for Godsake
Us cellular rip off…
With the sell out to T-Mobile I was told my bill would go up around $20 a month so I got a new provider with a much better deal. Us cellular sent me a bill for my monthly payment due, I called and found out they do not prorate but charge you the full amount even tho they are not rendering service! Seems illegal to me but it's hidden in their service agreement. After 17 years of service this is the treatment I get? So glad I left them once I found out they will steal your money.
Above and beyond customer service
I’m so frustrated and upset with USCellular service and I’ve been with them for so many years. Jehrom is very good in explaining complicated situation. He’s very calm and understanding about my complaint. If not with his composure, I will say I’ll give up my service. Thank you for your heartfelt understanding Jehrom, and may there’s more of you in this company.

they will double bill you, charge you for making a wrong number call and there is no help. s tores are evil condescending rude people, who lie repeatedly. Why even have a store front? There is NO help there for double billing you and bogus charges.
Fraudulent Internet
UScellular advertise high speed and unlimited data 300mbps. According to the BBB 241 complaints of actual speed of 8mbps to 100 at the most with frequent outages. When you call customer service you have a 1-4 hour wait time. They will instruct you to restart your equipment. This will not work. They will send a new router that will not work. They will then give you a Sim card that will not work. The contract that you sign states that you can return the device within 11 days if not working. They will not let you return the device and cancel your service until you pay $500. I read 350 complaints on BBB , Consumers review and Facebook while on hold. All complaints were the same issues. Lesson learned to review complaints before signing a contract.

Phone bill increase with no warning
I had a phone bill thats normally around $319 then I go to get my bill information and find out they raised my bill almost $80. Ever since t mobile got their dirty claws into US Cellular I have had nothing but problems with my service then they raise my bill with out informing me of any changes. Thats pretty messed up. How can a company raise prices and not telling their customers

Service was absolutely terrible. Will not be returning for business. If you want people to come back, treat them better. Don’t make it all about commission paychecks. Do better Maria. Also don’t use Maria because she just only gets mad when she doesn’t get the sale.
USC Home Internet
T Mobile / US Cellular Home Internet is pathetic! Unstable, inconsistent & intermitting, at least 20 or more times a day. When I purchased their home internet, they told me it works great and I live in the city. They said internet speed was 300 to 900 MB! Typical sales. Actually, I don't see how they market this!

I was a customer with US Cellular for over 25 years. As the service got worse and the agents became more rude, I decided to leave. I wasn’t late on a payment for the entire 25 years. Now that I have left, I keep receiving “last” bills from them and the amount increases each time. My advice is to deal with a company that will treat you with respect. US Cellular is NOT that company!
T MOBILE = TELEMARKETERS
After the U S Cellular, T Mobile merger the spam calls have been relentless. Apparently they sold our phone numbers tothe telemarketers. So much greed these days.
Us cellular is a joke
Us cellular is a joke. I signed up in May trying to save money. I asked the sales guy if the service worked in my area. He said yes. That was a bold faced lie. I signed up for the unlimited package because my wi-fi at home isn't the greatest. I figured I could rely on cell Internet for when my wi-fi wasn't working. We have been having issues since the end of may. Every time I call US Cellular or take our phones in to the store they just reset our phones and tell us to restart all fixed.
It don't fix the issues. Couple days ago I tried to make a call it said I was not connected to a network. I chatted with them on line. I was told the same thing restart told to restart my phone. That did not help. Then I drove to my local store. They reset my phone and had me restart the phone. Then they tried to get me to sign up for their wifi. I said no thank you. I said if your phone service don't work in my area what makes you think wifi service will work in my area.
Next day I was still having problems with service so I called the guy kept telling me to turn off turn on then restart. When I did that my screen turned blue. Not operational. So I had to drive to the store yet again to get it fixed. She was able to fix my phone. She looked at my account and said no wonder you are having problems with service there is almost no coverage in your area. I asked why wasn't I told this when I was signing up after I asked specifically. She said nothing. Did not have an answer. I asked what can be done. She shook her head and said you are passed the return option so there is nothing that can be done.
She did say you can always connect to to wifi. That helps a lot when my internet don't work well. So I am basically paying for service I can't use. If I have an emergency and can't use our cell phones and can't connect to WiFi we are screwed won't be able to get help. I am so done with this company. Looking to switch as soon as I can.

We have U.S. Cellular Internet service that never works. At one point, a representative seemed to think having a second tower would improve our service but it has not. It would cost $600 to end the contract for two towers. We cannot watch live tv because the tv buffers. We cannot make a phone call inside our home. We have to walk outside. Customer service is the WORST that I have ever dealt with. Nothing is ever fixed. My first time for writing a complaint against any company.
