US Federal Contractor Registration (USFCR) Reviews 

I purchased a SAM.gov registration through USFCR in September 2025. The registration was completed and activated, and my assigned case manager was responsive and accurate every time I contacted him directly. Credit where it's due.

The renewals campaign is a different story.

Starting in late May 2026 I began receiving weekly emails from their renewals department with subject lines counting down my SAM registration expiration: 69 days, 62, 55, 48, 41, 34, 27, 20, and finally "FINAL NOTICE: SAM Registration Expires in 13 Day(s)." The body stated that after that date my registration would end and my business would become ineligible for federal contracts.

My SAM registration expires January 23, 2027. That is verifiable by anyone on the public entity search at sam.gov.

When I first questioned this back in May, my case manager replied in writing on June 1 confirming the January 2027 date and noting that it was my services with USFCR nearing expiration rather than the registration. The countdown emails kept arriving weekly for another eleven weeks anyway. The date they were counting toward was September 2, exactly one year from my purchase receipt, so the campaign was tracking my service contract anniversary while describing it as my government registration.

I also spoke with a phone representative who told me that my SAM registration would automatically expire if I stopped using USFCR, and that renewal must begin 120 days before expiration. Neither statement is accurate. SAM.gov registration and renewal are free, you can do them yourself, and there is no 120-day rule. She said she would remove me from the mailing list. Another email arrived a week later.

The emails contain no unsubscribe link.

For anyone considering this: SAM.gov registration is free at sam.gov, and APEX Accelerators (apexaccelerators.us) provide free one-on-one help with registration and government contracting. Both are worth knowing about before you pay anyone.

Two stars because the service I bought was delivered. The renewal messaging is the problem.

Their website is deceptive: it looks like a legitimate US government website, but it's not. I accidentally clicked their link while looking for the 100% free Sam.gov to do a simple business registration and I quickly got to a page asking for $599! At first I thought, "wow, I'm surprised the Federal Govt is charging for this" then I Googled it and found out that what I need is free and that USFCR has a reputation for aggressive and deceptive advertising.

Using USFCR is a waste of time! Don't make the same mistake I did and avoid their servcies. Its one of the worst experiences I have had in being in business for nearly 50 yaers.

Our case manager, Jeff, did an excellent job of walking me through the process. His knowledge of the system made it easy for me to supply the necessary information.
Jeff is also personable and a joy to work with, especially understanding the uncertanty and apprehension on the part of the client.
