Why can you not access your annual certificate of interest directly from the website?

Being asked for a response before UTB…

Being asked for a response before UTB had responded to my enquiry.

I requested a removal of a signor, it would have been nice is I had been told that the request was actioned.

Useful website with information customer service.

Useful website with information. Quick response back when I registered for an account. Just having some problems with logging into my online banking. Which was dealt with very quickly by sending me a text to contact the bank between working hours. I need to follow up on that advice.

Our experience with United Trust Bank…

Our experience with United Trust Bank has been extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish.

The handling of our mortgage application felt completely unfair and highly unprofessional. Despite providing extensive documentation, proof of funds, solicitor checks, and having the gifted deposit already transferred into a UK bank account, the application was ultimately declined due to the origin of the funds being from Turkey.

What makes the situation even more unacceptable is that the bank still proceeded with arranging and sending a surveyor for the property valuation before communicating the decline. This resulted in unnecessary delays, wasted time, false expectations, and additional stress throughout the process.

At no stage did it feel like there was transparency or consistency in the underwriting approach. If the source of funds was always going to be an issue regardless of evidence provided, this should have been identified much earlier instead of allowing the case to progress to valuation stage.

The overall experience has left us feeling extremely frustrated, disappointed, and unfairly judged based solely on the country the funds originated from, despite everything being fully traceable and compliant.

Unfortunately, this has been one of the most stressful and negative mortgage experiences we have ever encountered.

Extremely difficult to set up a new investment account on-line. I ended up telephoning to get a result. Please make the setting up of a new account easier. United Trust keep sending me phantom messages, unwanted and time wasting. please stop.

I always manage to speak to a 'real' person when I ring and that is really important I think and they are always helpful and polite, a joy to deal with, plus good interest rates on savings accounts
