This Company sucks. Never go there. I wanted to expedite a passport application for one of my employees who did not have a passport and needed to get a copy of her birth certificate from New Jersey. We were promised a 4/5 day turnaround and paid extra for special delivery to meet our travel deadline. We heard nothing, chased them up after a week had gone by and then after holding 2 HOURS on the phone we were told that there was a 30/60 day backlog! Thanks to these idiots my Manager cannot accompany me on my business trip and I have lost $1800 in air fares and hotels. I should probably sue them for misrepresentation.

Further documents are required. They do not answer basic questions, but instead simply send us the info pdf again, which does not provide the required information. Repeated requests are now ignored. We are shocked by the poor customer service and will now turn to another agency

Got the short form birth certificate instead of the longform which I requested. Should have kept my funds.

Not even one star this company deserves none !!!! I’ve been waiting on the phone 1:23 minutes all ready, is this company for real?

Tried to order a death certificate but when the sent me an email receipt it had the dead persons names messed up. It said call customer service but was on hold for over 35 minutes listening to a recording telling me “your call is very important to us” bla bla bla HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, infuriating company to do business with!

Tried to order birth certificate which said it would be $35.50 with free shipping from USPS BUT near the end of application I was forced to pick between 3 options of expedited and more secure shipping with at least $17.50 more in charges. No thank you, rap!sts.

This wasn't what seemed advertised. No ordering of certificates took place, only placing my typed information on a readily available PDF form. Why would I pay to have a company do that, I still need to do all the steps to actually order the certificate. Unfortunately, I don't see any "verifying" either, implied by the advertising. This was a waste of money in every respect. I will discourage others from using this service by posting this information as a review of the misrepresented service (or lack thereof).

Garbage keep getting my docs declined, they keep saying some part is not clear, What a waste of time. Every review is the same.

They scam you buy forcing you to get expedited delivery through UPS instead of offering you standard delivery through the US postal service. Wont use anything that forces people to use outside private services. Only for it to get delivered by the US Postal Service anyway.

Ordered two copies of my own birth certificate a month and a half ago, was told they'd be here by the 30th. It's now the 6th, and I haven't so much as received shipping information.
Tried to email them (because they're allergic to phone calls, it seems) four days ago, have yet to get so much as an automated reply.
What's worse is since I'm now located on the other side of the country, this is the ONLY way the government will let me get these documents, short of a twelve hour one-way trip. Absolutely terrible company that should be completely erased from history.

Edit: A couple days later, they finally responded to me, claiming high volume of tickets, which is a problem they need to solve. Week and a half later, it's delivered without signature and sitting on my porch.
On the one hand, I'm glad it was delivered without missing a drop off, but on the other, sensitive documents should require a signature. That's not okay.

This place Horrible place to deal with. No less than a Hour and a half wait on the phone every time trying to talk to someone. After a fire. Needed my Wife's death certificate replaced. VitalChek, took two months just to tell me. No information could be found.?. Still Charged me Full Price !! Feel Completely Ripped off !!

My birth certificate was ordered and I received an email from them with a UPS tracking number. Well, it was supposed to be delivered a week ago but nothing. UPS told me that I had to contact Vital Chek because my delivery date had been extended and they couldn’t give me any more information. I’ve been trying to contact them but no answer. I’m on hold for over an hour and nothing…

I’m kicking myself for not reading the reviews before I decided to order!
There was no mention of needing any documents until after they had my money. I don’t have the documents required, and I am trying to get my initial fee refunded. I’ve been on hold three times for over an hour. Nobody answers the phone. I’ve emailed twice and now thrice. All I get is a copy of my order and that they need more documents. This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

They took my order without making it clear that I would have to wait 6 months for it to be filled. When I complained they told me it was in the terms of agreement and there were no refunds. I wrote away to the County Clerk and got the document in a week for ten dollars, having paid $80 for this useless ripoff of a "service". Just contact the city or county clerk's office directly.

Trying to submit documentation that is needed is virtually impossible. I have tried to submit my signed request 6 times or more, and have been unsuccessful. NO one ever answers the phone. Lexus Nexus needs more customer service employees and needs to improve the website for documentation submission.

Never received the document, was on hold for over an hour several times, no one ever picked up, no response to email. TERRIBLE COMPANY!

My experience is exactly the same as everyone else's. I'm overseas and got locked out of the first claim for a marriage certificate but was still charged. I was told to attend the US embassy in my country for a signature which I did, uploaded and I was told the form was not satisfactory without any proper reason provided. Back and forth emails over fsix months and having to explain myself multiple times. This company is a scam. Do not use the. This process has cost me over hundreds having documents signed by notary's, travel to the embassy and solicitors offices all for nothing.

⭐ 1 star – and I would go lower if I could!

I uploaded the required form on 5/14 and it was declined. I followed up many times to see why it was being rejected. Many phone calls where I was on hold for over an hour each time - no one ever came to the phone. I sent several requests through their on line form - again no response. Instead they CANCELLED my order and did not refund the fee!!

On 6/5, someone finally called me!!...while I had already been on hold again for over an hour. They reset my account so I could download and notarize a form. I did that immediately.

6/6: Tried to upload the notarized form—locked out of my account AGAIN.

6/10: Still no response to my support ticket. Just sat on hold for 1.5 hours and gave up. Still no response through their email form.

I have nothing to show from them except wasted time and endless frustration. Not only is the website unreliable, but customer service is practically non-existent. Even when you finally reach someone, the “fixes” don’t last. California requires you to go through VitalChek for certain records, and they are absolutely failing at the most basic level of service.

This experience has been unacceptable, exhausting, and disrespectful, especially when dealing with sensitive life events like a death in the family. If you have any other option—go through the state or county directly. Avoid this company if you can!!!

Absolute garbage and a complete headache if you located outside of the USA. I do not recommend. You cannot contact anyone there. You just have to use their "form" on their website to ask questions which get answered like a week later or wait on hold indefinitely. I am from outside of Canada and can submit a sworn statement that is apostilled and they keep saying my document must be notarized in the USA which is impossible for me. Do not waste your money or energy.

Made aN order 2 times. October last year 2024 and this early april 25th submitted document state issue ID. They never completed my order i never received my birth certificate was charged $15 dollars both timeS and the remaining they charge youR card when complete. The $15 non refundable. The are the government 2nd party company to get vital records. SO HOPFULLY THE GOVERNMENT WILL CANCEL THEIR CONTRACT SOON BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THEY CANT OR WONT DO THEIR JOB. LOOK AT ALL THESE COMPLAINTS ANY OTHER COMPANY WOULD OF BEEN OUT OF BUSINESS BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE BACKED BY THE STATES WE HAVE TO GO THRU THEM TO GET OUR VITAL RECORDS THEY ARE STILL RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND ARE INCOMPETENT. YOU ALSO CAN NOT GET Through TO ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE VIA EMAIL OR PHONE.
