⭐ 1-Star Review – Disappointing Customer Service and Failure to Resolve a Complaint

Extremely disappointing experience with this travel company, not only because of the poor airport transfer arrangements but, more importantly, because of the way our complaint was handled.

Our private transfer arrived 20 minutes earlier than the agreed collection time and took us to the airport 4 and a half hours before our flight, despite the fact that we couldn’t check our cases in for another hour. There were no other passengers to collect, so there was no justification for treating this as a shared transfer with additional collection time.

When we raised our concerns with the travel company, rather than properly investigating the situation or acknowledging their failure, we were given an explanation about shared transfers and suppliers setting early collection times. This explanation was completely irrelevant to our circumstances, as our vehicle was private and no other passengers were collected.

The biggest failing was the company’s response when we highlighted the problem. Instead of listening to our concerns, taking responsibility and attempting to resolve the issue, they chose to defend the service with an excuse that did not reflect what actually happened.

Customer service is about how a company responds when things go wrong. Unfortunately, this company demonstrated very little accountability or willingness to address our legitimate concerns.

We are extremely disappointed and will be sharing our experience appropriately to ensure other travellers are aware of how complaints are handled.

I would not recommend this company based on our experience.

I was overwhelmingly pleased with Viva during my most recent trip. It started with them being extremely helpful throughout the booking process, including providing suggestions that they didn't offer directly and answering alllllll my many questions. But that was just the beginning. All throughout my trip they were right on top of the details. From sending reminders and directions for excursions, to quick responses to issues at the hotels, including calling directly to address things. As a solo traveller all of these things mean so much. They ensured I never felt I had to just figure it out on my own but instead I always had help.
I will absolutely be contacting them for my next trip.

We were trying to co-ordinate this Portugal trip with our adult daughters who had family and work issues. Brian was very patient and helpful with working with us to get the best deal and experiences for our trip within the limited time and budget that met our comfort level. Well done Brian!

From start to finish, Viva vacations is top notch. Brian arranged the details of our trip par excellence every step of the way. All clearly laid out and well arranged! Closer to the trip, Leo checked in to ensure that we were all set with the taxi service and to do the early check in with the airline. Leo replied promptly and efficiently before, during and after our trip. Our flight was delayed and Leo provided outstanding personal care to ensure that we felt reassured about the taxi service picking us up. Looking forward to booking with Brian/Leo again for our next trip in December!

He was most helpful and took me through all the stages of the booking process. He was able to answer all questions I put to him and even when I made an error with the outward journey date he was able to amend it and the flights very competently & with complete understanding.

We have recently returned from our holiday in crete booked using viva vista vacations. Where to start..
Brian leo and the viva team were an absolute breath of fresh air they handled the whole holiday impeccably, we initially had reservations but these were quickly put at ease. From organising the flights hotels transfers and everything above the team where flawless, they have a 24/7 support team on hand as well! I recently proposed to my girlfriend on our trip on a private boat tour which they handled exceptionally as well!

We will be definitely using viva again i highly reccomend!

From the initial request to details regarding hotel and flight arrangements- Brian provided excellent options and put together a wonderful itinerary that fit our budget perfectly. Brian made the experience great! He is patient, knowledgeable, and has a good sense of humour. He explained everything quite articulately, and sold me on Vista Vacations customer service! I didn't like the long layover in the US, he found other flights not going through the US. I had the flexibility to switch days. I came across Viva Vista though a search engine on Google a few weeks back. I was connected immediately with Brian who was very efficient, responsive and professional in booking our first trip. We have completed our
