Huge increase in reply rate
I've been using Vollna for the past year to track and optimise my Upwork proposals, and the data it's given me access to has been genuinely transformational for my business.
Before I started properly analysing my Vollna data, I was getting a 5.3% reply rate on Upwork. By using the analytics to understand what was actually working — response time, boost levels, cover letter performance, proposal position — I've more than doubled that to over 11% in the first quarter of 2026, with January hitting 18.2%. In the first three months of this year alone I generated more leads than in the entire previous nine months combined.
The insights go deeper than I expected. I was able to identify the exact boost connect range that maximised my reply rate, figure out that responding within 30 minutes nearly doubled my performance compared to responding after 8 hours, and even test whether personalising cover letters with a client's name made a measurable difference (it does — 37.7% view rate vs 21.8%). None of that would have been possible without Vollna's tracking.
I'm now setting up full automation through Vollna off the back of this analysis, and based on my data I'm projecting a blended cost per lead of around $84 — compared to $152 I was averaging across the year. That's a 45% reduction in cost per lead purely from understanding the data Vollna provided.
