SCAM. RIP OFF. DO NOT USE

We picked up a car from Naples airport, rental number 31232497, and were made to sign the paperwork before had seen the car. The gentleman who showed us to the car could speak no English and walked straight back to the desk after hanging over the key. I noticed the damage straight away and took several photos in case they tried anything on.

When we returned the car I tried to explain the situation to the gentleman who took the keys. He also could speak no English. Still concerned, I went to the Leasy’s desk in Rome station. To my relief this gentleman spoke good English. He told me not to worry and that we wouldn’t be charged. Worryingly, he also told me that the staff at Naples airport often don’t allow customers to check their cars before they are made to sign the paperwork.

We have since been charged over €295 for the damage that was on the car before we collected!!!
It’s my guess that several people have been charged for the same damage.

LEASY’S ARE A SCAM COMPANY AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. DO NOT USE!!!

Avoid Leasys at all costs

Leasys, formerly known as Win Rent, has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They charged me a huge fee for minor scratches on the car, and screwed me over on my insurance claim by providing the insurance company with incorrect details - and refused to change it.

What basically happened was they told the external insurance company that I returned the car on another date, when I wasn't even charged for renting the car over those dates. Rather than putting in a tiny bit of effort to help me with my claim (like an email confirmation, or any correspondence would probably have done), they just told me where to go in an extremely abrupt and rude way. Which has now meant the insurance company won't pay out to me.

The prices can be appealing, but if they make a mistake forget about them trying to fix it. They also charged me a ridiculous amount for the tiny scratch on the car. Can't express more how much they should be avoided.

Dos años después todavía te acuerdas de ellos...

El pasado sábado 20 de julio de 2019 nos llegó una multa relativa al vehículo que alquilamos con uds. en agosto de 2017 en Florencia por valor de 355 euros, multa que uds. nunca nos hicieron llegar a pesar de que nos cobraron 40 euros por ella por la gestión, con lo que nosotros deducimos que la Multa estaba mal sancionada y uds se habían hecho cargo de notificarlo al AYTO de Florencia.

En relación a esta multa quiero hacer constar dos consideraciones:

1-uds. no se hicieron en absoluto cargo de la multa, por lo que hemos comprobado, con lo cual nos preguntamos qué han hecho con nuestro dinero, con nuestros 40 euros. Nos cobraron 40 euros por mandarnos simplemente un mail? por cierto, ahora si nos han cobrado de nuevo estos 40 euros, por lo que deducimos que uds. tampoco los hicieron llegar a su destino. Se los quedaron bajo un pretexto que nunca fue real.

2-el vehículo en cuestión hemos sabido ahora fue multado por circular por una zona restringida pero nunca fue utilizado para circular en Florenzia, sólo salió y entró de su párquing una sola vez ya que lo utilizamos para visitar los entornos, con lo que si uds. estaban en una zona de trafico restringido a vecinos, nos deberían haber indicado las condiciones de acceso para sortear dicha restricción al volver, 10 días después de haberlo sacado de su empresa.

3-el Ayto de Florencia nunca nos hizo llegar la notificación de la multa, a pesar de que por lo que parece y hemos sabido después, esta siguió su curso administrativo puesto que uds.les facilitaron nuestros datos. Como se supone que debemos saber nosotros el motivo, importe de la sanción y los métodos de pago???

Realmente, su empresa deja mucho que desear. Todavía no entendemos como la matrícula del vehículo no está registrada para el acceso a la zona, con lo que deducimos que lo que a nosotros nos sucedió les pasa a todos sus clientes.

pd: por no hablar de que nadie nos atendió a la vuelta, ya que el 17 de agosto de 2017 era festivo en Italia, tampoco nos lo dijeron cuando nos dieron las llaves. tuvimos que hacer múltiples fotografías al vehículo para evitar que luego nos pudieran decir que había algún error en la entrega.

nuestra rama está fuera de la ztl
Para llegar a nuestro centro de alquiler también a la inversa, puedes encontrarte dentro del ztl.
pero especificamos que hay un total de tres rutas para llegar a nuestra sucursal, pero solo una está dentro del ztl

Leasys rent no pudo solicitar ninguna autorización de acceso y usted no puede pagar un boleto,
Sólo pueden circular los coches de los residentes y los que se alojen en hoteles dentro del área

Leasys Rent ha procedido a la solicitud regular de re-notificación a través del Prefecto, pero no tenemos certeza si

Esperienza negativa

Esperienza negativa, la macchina ritirata a bari presentava un graffio sulla portiera , visto che in aereoporto non hanno nessuno che effettua ispezioni al momento del ritiro e sul foglio di noleggio non riportava alcun danno, mi sono premurato di fare foto e telefonare immeditamente all agenzia dell aereporto per comunicare lo stato dell' auto, mi e' stato detto di non preoccuparmi e che sarebbe bastato fare delle foto e a lecce non avrebbero fatto problemi, ovviamente tutto cio' non e' accaduto e una volta consegnata la macchina subito mi sono stati fatti problemi addirittura dicendo che le foto non fossero state fatte nel parcheggio dell' aeroporto, meno male che mi ero premurato di fare una foto panoramica, alla fine si e' risolto dopo una telefonata a bari dove hanno confermato la mia versione, ho avuto precedenti esperienze con furbate da parte delle compagnie di noleggio, ma immagino un turista inerme dover passare per tutto questo senza avere l accortezza di fare foto o telefonare come ho fatto io.... senza contare il benzinaio in combutta con la compagnia di noleggio che ha l’ ufficio presso la pompa di benzina che ha fatto la "gentilezza" di servirmi benchè fossi al self service solo per riempire fino all' ultima goccia di benzina il serbatoio ed oltre il livello del pieno cosa tra l’ altro pericolosissima, vivo all' estero, ma ste furbate quando torno in italia, mi fanno vomitare.

purtroppo non riusciamo a risalire al noleggio specifico solo con il nick name pubblicato.
Nella seconda pagina del nostro contratto di noleggio i danni presenti sulla vettura vengono di solito meticolosamente riportati. Siamo spiacenti se questo non è avvenuto nel Suo caso. A complicare ulteriormente le cose, c'è il fatto che il veicolo è stato rilasciato in un ufficio di noleggio diverso da quello di partenza ma, come Lei stesso dichiara, dopo un primo contatto ed un ulteriore controllo più approfondito nessun addebito è stato fatto!
Le ricordiamo che il nostro personale è multilingue e che pertanto anche qualsiasi straniero avrebbe potuto tranquillamente interagire con i nostri agenti locali e con il nostro ufficio danni.
Per quanto riguarda il carburante, non riusciamo sinceramente a capire cosa intenda per riempire fino all'ultima goccia... E' possibile riempire un po' meno?....

Second review also positive for Winrent…

Second review also positive for Winrent now called Leasys. Booked Fiat Tipo estate from Milan Malpensa for four days end of June. Please note that they are only based in Terminal 1, i arrived in Terminal 2 where Easyjet goes and it required a 15 minute free bus transfer between terminals. The error was mine not Winrent as had not realised two terminals. Once in terminal found desk in corner, no queue, seemed to take longer to process than should but all done in friendly manner, no hard sell on extra insurance (why can one not send all drivers details before arriving so paperwork is ready for immediate hand over). Short walk to Car Hire area A where met by girl again no queue and well lit, who went round car and any marks WE found she wrote on contract (why she had not already marked these up before our arrival leaves a question). Car was pretty new and good no problems. On return same girl checked car back in and made a thorough inspection and declared car fine.

with regard to the many comments on the 40 euro charge, yes it is a ridiculously high charge for emailing you an invoice and passing your details to the fine enforcer but it is in their and most other hire contracts. It is important that hirers realise three things firstly in many large cities in Italy vehicles are banned from many parts and bus lanes I was done a while back entering the wrong road in Florence. Secondly a lot of the Autostrads have automatic speed cameras and thirdly something i found out on this trip is that some Autostradas are TOLL ROADS WITHOUT BARRIERS. Unlike on most toll roads where you have to go through a toll booth and pay, On these roads you have to go online or get the app and pay the toll within 15 days of using the road (unless you have telepass). i used the A36 on my way to and back to Lake Como which is charged 3.22 Euros each way. It is very easy not to realise that it is a toll road and not pay and potentially get 80 euros in charges from Leasys for two notices of failure to pay. So two rentals from Winrent/Leasys and both have been straight forward with good cars fast service and no problems so i can recommend

Rented a car in Milan Italy

Rented a car in Milan Italy, all was good and guess what? Like others wrote. Exactly 6 weeks after car return 40 Euros charged from my credit car!! EXPLAIN NOW WINT RENT !!! SO EVERYBODY DOES VIOLENT OFFENCE THE SAME TIME FOR SAME MONEY!!! NO PROOF OF LETTER, NO EMAIL, NOTHING! SHAME ON YOU!!! HEADING TO BANK TOMORROW TO REPORT FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY!! UPDATE: You can all see their reply, bla bla bla as usual. Where is the proof of the offence? If there was any and I am not aware of it, you must have received a letter with charge of offence!!! SCAMMERS!!!

P.S. But you already know about the offence and have received the it from the Police yes?! I would like to receive a copy of it as a proof, otherwise I am taking a legal action againts your company for a fraud !!!

40 euros is not the payment of fine but, as already replied to all customers who shared their experience here, this amount is due (in accordance with our terms and conditions and as most major car rental companies do) as administrative handling fee, to have informed the Authorities about the customer's details in possession of the car at time of offence.

We regret, but we would like to point out that this charge is made only in case of violation to the traffic code made by the driver during his rental!

P.S.: the letter (fine ticket) will be sent directly by the local police (within 360 days form the date of our communication of driver's name).
Payment of fine has to be made directly by the trespasser on receipt of the ticket.

Leasys has done it again!

Booked a car with Leasys (former Win Rent) via Holiday Autos for pick up in Bergamo airport and dropping off at Genoa airport. I was offered a competitive price which I was assured also in a web chat (i've got the evidence) with Holiday Autos that included the one way fee too. Guess what?
Leasys has done it again!! They claim the one way fee wasn't included and they charged me for It! I'm sick and tired of these budget hire companies who attract customers with competitive rental fares just to sting you later with unfair fees!! It seems they survive on that! I've referred the issue to Holiday Autos in the hope they resolve it for me! On a more positive note the staff both at Bergamo and Genoa desk were pleasant and friendly.
Update: finally after about 5 weeks I got my money back after asking Holiday Autos to step in! Will avoid in the future if can be helped!

Inadmissible - Harcelement jusqu'à retour plus tot

Inadmissible - Nous avons réservé une voiture pour des clients au départ de Naples et retour sur Sorrento. Retour prévu (payé) pour 16h30.
L'agence de Sorrento a harcelé les clients par téléphone pendant 3 jours (6 appels) pour qu'ils ramènent la voiture à 15h.
En plus de ne pouvoir aller à Amalfi cela a gâché le début du séjour des clients. Winrent / Leasys, terminé pour notre agence !
(PS ne pouvant répondre à la réponse de Win Rent : l'adresse n'était pas le problème, ou du moins rien par rapport à ce que je viens d'écrire ci-dessus. Et 15h n'était justement par l'heure convenue ! mais imposée).

I rented a car from Lamezia Airport for a week. I had booked a Fiat Tipo but I got a brand new Jeep Compass 2019. The receptionist was very charming and friendly and did the paperwork quickly. I returned the car early in the morning and left the keys in the return box. After two days, the deposit was refunded. Everything went great, the car was very good and the service was better than anywhere else, and the price was low, less than 30 e day zero excess. I no longer rent a car from anywhere else than Winrent/Leasys.

40 Eur charge - it's a SHAME for Win Rent - AVOID this company

I rented a car in February for 5 days in Rome airport from this company and everything was fine at that time. I returned the car without any damage and went home. After 6 weeks they charged me for 40 Eur without any warning so I had to report a fraud transaction to American Express. I saw here on this site that also many other had the same problem with this car rental company. The way they take profit is a shame so avoid this company and go with some other one .

Very disappointed worst experience I’ve seen

I rented the car from Bergamo Airport on 4 February for 5 days. The lady from desk said that they will take 250 euros as deposit and when I will return the car they will send back the deposit. On 19 February they take 230 euros again but don’t return the deposit.They didn't even communicate about the extra amount they took from my creditcard. I write them via WhatsApp and they said that deposit released. I contact my bank but any money there. Today is 12 of March and still I didn’t receive deposit. They write me 3 times that deposit released but unfortunately nothing. I also want some document or receipt about releasing but they didn’t send. It was my first and last time rent from this company. Don’t go with WinRent.

as already informed directly by e-mail, the additional charge we made is due to the fact that, by mistake, you brought with you the car key, so we could not rent that car for the next three days.
Concerning the 250€, once again we confirm that we never charged this amount but that it has only been blocked as security deposit and then released as usual. Unfortunately it doesn’t exist any receipt for that because these requests are managed by phone, but in any case this kind of pre-authorizations expire automatically in 21 days, so it is not possible that the available credit of your credit card has not been re-established.
We really regret for misunderstanding between block and charge, and we hope that this will not influence your future chooses in car rental.

Not trust worthy with your deposit

We rented a car on Saturday 16th Feb 2019 for one week. We inspected the car in detail with the operative and highlighted all the scuffs and marks. The car was kept in a garage during the entire stay. When we returned the car we were told that all was good and that our £300 deposit would be returned within 10minutes. This was at Turin airport. We flew to Bari to catch our connecting flight and still we had no return of our deposit. I went to the Winrent desk in Bari to check on the progress. The opporator there said as it was a Saturday, the banks are closed and that the deposit would be returned by Monday or Tuesday latest. It is now 1st March and I still have not received my deposit even though I emailed Winrent on Wednesday 27th Feb to only have received a general automate email response. I am now co wondering legal action as there has been communication. Where is my deposit Winrent?????

Very good experience. We were heading to other car agency outside the airport, we missed their shuttle so we came back were alla the offices are. We were served by a very professional guy.. he gave us some nice suggestion about spots to visit around the area and sorrento coast with a beautiful fiat 500 with a very good price. Very professional
Car was new and clean, parking garage close to the office..
Overall service very fast and clear
I'd definitely suggest those guys!

We hired a Duster from this company…

We hired a Duster from this company just a couple of weeks ago. When we arrived there was nobody there at the desk. They eventually arrived and offered the extra insurance. We declined as I had done this already. I was given keys and told roughly where the car was. It was dark.. when we found the car it was dirty on the outside. Thank goodness we took loads of pictures. It had dents, marks and scratches all over it!!
Unfortunately due to a bereavement in the family the very next day we returned the car earlier than arranged. So we had it for just 2 days.
How upsetting it was to then receive an email to say that we had damaged the car and they sent pictures.. luckily.. I had the same pictures of the same damaged areas prior to taking the car. What a scam !!
They probably never repair but try this on everyone that hires. Budget car. Then try to get the repair money. Just so thankful that I took pictures before I drove it away.
I was left panicking because when I sent a reply with photos they didn’t even send a reply. So I was left waiting to see if the ecess of nearly £800 was going to be taken out of my account. Thankfully it wasn’t. Don’t trust this company. Scammers ...

I made the reservation from…Bergamo Orio al Serio airport

I made the reservation from rentalcars.com ,ref no 355642677, choosing one of winrent's offers, they call it flexi.
They gave me a diesel citroen c4 cactus in Bergamo Orio al Serio airport rental place, with a full tank, as per their policy.
It was shady from the start, first of all i had prepaid the child seat, nut the clerk at the desk told me i need to pay 35 € for it and when i wanted to pay with my card, she suggested that it's better to pay cash as paying by card would imply additional fees.
I drove the car to Passo Tonale were we stayed for 7 days.
The car had a warning message from the get go, something related to "urea" additive needed.
3 days after we rented it, the car wouldn't start, it was approximately 9 AM on 29th of January 2019, and this is where my troubles began.
Luckily this happened in front of my hotel, in the parking, so i left the car there and went about my day.
I was being passed from the Bergamo desk where i rented to the winrent call center, it took about 1 hour to get them to open a case.
After that i was called by the technical assistance call center which did not have any details related to the rental reference number, the plate number of the car, etc. details which they should have received from winrent's call center.
I was informed via test message that technical assistance would arrive at 2 PM, and they were punctual.
The care was toed away as the diagnosis was frozen diesel, and they needed to get the car to a garage for repairs, they just needed the approval and agreement of payment from winrent in order to proceed with the repairs.
I received a call from technical assistance that they will not repair the car as winrent asked for too many procedures, photos, etc., so again i called the Bergamo desk.
I was informed that i need to go to the nearest Winrent office to get another car, as this is their policy, and that i will be reimbursed the money spent to arrive there, which i never was, not from the Trento office where i got the replacement car, nor from the Bergamo office where i returned it, even though both offices made copies of the taxi receipt i was given.
The next day i received an email from winrent that a damage file was opened for the broken down car, file nr. 905691, and that the total cost of emergency service and repairs is 292.80 € which they will charge my credit card.
Since i got the car i drove it from Bergamo airport to Passo Tonale, consuming 1/4 of the tank, i did not add any diesel, so why should i pay for the repairs?
Winrent did not even bother to check that the full insurance from rentalcars covers both mechanical repairs as well as toeing fees, and emergency assistance.
On arrival i asked they reimburse me the fare money from Passo Tonale to Trento, which they didn't.

Conclusion: stay away from Winrent, they will trick into paying cash for something that is already prepaid, if the car brakes down you have to go to the nearest winrent office to get a replacement car, they will charge you for the repairs regardless which type of insurance you have bought.
You rent, they win!

3 days after and they sent me an email with a bill of 54 euros, i replied asking what the bill is for, no reply, they just took the money from my account....

thank you for your time and for some useful suggestions that we’ll take in due consideration in the future, but in the meantime we would like to point out some issues that you have underlined in your comments.
Please note that baby seat was not included in your reservation made not directly with us but placed and prepaid through Rentalcars. Since it was not included, in any case it was to be paid locally, as well as any kind of coverage for damage/theft or road assistance, because only the basic service is included in our rates, unless the customer purchases the extra coverage at desk.
As referred even by you, the additional coverage was offered by Rentalcars, so any possible refund has to be asked to them.
In any case, as far as I can see, no charge has ever been made by us for towing service, but you have received only an e-mail from my colleagues of Damage Department asking for further information, actually.

Finally let us point out that in any car rental company, the replacement car is never delivered, but it is always necessary to go to the nearest office to pick it up.

Ho noleggiato più volte l'auto alla winrent presso l'Aeroporto di Lamezia Terme.
Il personale si è dimostrato sempre disponibile e gentile, e le auto noleggiate sono state sempre efficienti.

Noleggio auto a napoli

A fine dicembre 2018 ho preso in noleggio 2 vetture dalla Winrent, Una presso aeroporto di Napoli e la 2 seconda presso la Stazione di Napoli. Con la prima prenotazione on line nessun problema. Con la seconda presa presso la Stazione di Napoli ho avuto dei problemi alla restituzione sul rifornimento. Problema, che dopo uno scambio di mail e considerazioni, è stato risolto dall'amministrazione positivamente riconoscendo un rimborso.
Quindi ottime le condizioni delle auto, buono il prezzo, buono il servizio post-vendita.

siamo sinceramente meravigliati di leggere questa Sua recensione, infatti come Lei sa e come già discusso sia telefonicamente che via e-mail, non abbiamo potuto onorare la Sua prenotazione per via del documento di guida presentato al banco che non era idoneo, in quanto scaduto.

Precisiamo infine che nessun addebito è mai stato fatto sulla Sua carta di credito, in quanto soltanto una pre-autorizzazione (quindi solo un blocco disponibilità sul plafond della carta) era stata richiesta e che questa è poi stata stornata.

Siamo spiacenti, ma la nostra azienda non può fornire veicoli ad un conducente con documento di guida non valido.

Wir hatten im September 2018 für 14…

Wir hatten im September 2018 für 14 Tage ein Auto bei WinRent ab bis Olbia auf Sardinien gemietet. Erst als wir schon lange wieder daheim waren, wurden uns nachträglich noch 18,30 € abgebucht. Wir wurden weder von WinRent benachrichtigt warum, noch konnten wir uns vorstellen warum, denn wir hatten wie verabredet das Auto vollgetankt wieder abgegeben. Erst nachdem unser TUI Reisebüro nochmal WinRent angeschrieben hat, kam dann endlich nach 6 Wochen die Benachrichtigung, dass bei unserem gemieteten Auto eine Spezialreinigung gemacht werden musste. Dieses hätte auch im Vertrag gestanden, den wir unterschrieben haben. Es wurden auch Bilder mitgeschickt, die einen Fußraum zeigen, mit Rollsplitt und Sand ! Erstmal können diese Bilder von irgendeinem Auto gemacht worden sein, und außerdem ist es ganz normal, dass nach 2 Wochen ein Auto etwas Sand im Fußraum hat, zumal wir gar keine Möglichkeit hatten, den Fußraum zu reinigen. Würde man den Fußraum mit Matten bestücken, so hätte man noch die Möglichkeit diese auszuschlagen. Jedenfalls haben wir ein sauberes Auto abgegeben und eine Spezialreinigung war wirklich nicht nötig, da ist eine ganz normale Reinigung mit einem Staubsauger völlig ausreichend !!!
Wenn WinRent dieses Verfahren bei jedem Mietauto anwendet, so kann ich das nur Abzocke nennen !!! Wir werden diesen Anbieter jedenfalls nicht wieder nehmen und können ihn auch nicht empfehlen !!!

Die Fotos, die Sie über TUI erhalten haben, zeigen Ihr Fahrzeug nach der Rückgabe. Leider war eine Reinigung nur mit dem Staubsauger in diesem Fall nicht ausreichend.

Wir hatten unsere Fahrzeuge bereits mit Matten ausgestattet, doch leider hat dies nicht zu einer Lösung des Problems geführt.

COBRANÇA INDEVIDA! EMPRESA QUE ROUBA E DESRESPEITA O CONSUMIDOR!

Fiz um aluguel com a Win Rent em setembro desse ano em Milão / aeroporto de Malpensa.
Paguei taxas que não foram explicadas no aluguel, mas optei por pagar para não ter mais estresse.
Hoje, em dezembro 2018, recebo no meu extrato uma nova cobrança da Win Rent vinda de Fiumicino, local em que eu NUNCA estive.
Ou seja, clonaram meu cartão ou estão cobrando roubando o consumidor!

LIXO DE EMPRESA! FALTA DE RESPEITO COM O CONSUMIDOR!

Exijo uma explicação por parte da WIN RENT.

Não consigo encontrar o seu aluguer, se deseja puede enviar-nos mais informações através do email cs@winrent.it
No entanto, a carga atrasada me faz pensar na renomeação de uma multa.
A cobrança de 40 euro, es devida a re-notifica da infracao de transito que tomou durante o seu aluguer, tal como exigido pelo contrato de locação.

Win Rent não tem conhecimento da razao para a fina. Vai receber a infração com as informacoes de pagamento diretamente da Policia. Detalhes estao disponiveis na parte inferior da factura emitida e que nós enviamos via e-mail (cheque também spam).

O nosso departamento de Customer Service permanece à sua disposição.
