Cancelled policy on same day as taking it out although not scheduled to start for another 14 days.No response to email informing them of this. Rang a few days later and was told no one had looked at email yet! They cancelled policy but told me I had to pay the admin charge of £65. This is an unreasonable charge for providing absolutely nothing Found better cover elsewhere. Please do shop around. This company was the preferred option from another big insurance company.

Jamie is very responsive especially as we ask difficult questions - he always responds with a day or too.

Naeem was able to renew my policy at a more competitive rate to reflect my lower risk level and reduced business activity.

I run a small café in Soham. This year I was on the market looking for options for our business insurance, so I went through the renewal line by line and asked Lisa a lot of questions, some of them not easy ones.

She went back to the insurer four separate times to get me answers in writing, instead of telling me it was all fine. She also found a mistake in the original documents herself and told me about it before I noticed it.

We stayed in the end. The sum insured for our shop fit out was wrong by nearly £87,000 and it is now correct, some cover I did not know was missing is confirmed in writing, and we are still paying less than last year.

We were recommended to Gallagher insurers after receiving very stressful and traumatic notice that our current insurers could not renew our policy of many years even though they had accepted our claim for possible subsidence. The renewal period was a very short 7 days. Fortunately we were connected with Brendan. I am in my 80th year and my wife is 73.
