Bad Business Horrible Customer Service!
I placed an order for a telescope on December 22, 2023, and I paid for FedEx Priority Overnight service ( a cost of $40.53). After the purchase was made, a day later I received a shipping notice saying the item wouldn’t be delivered until Tuesday after Christmas. It didn’t arrive until Wednesday after Christmas. After FedEx said I had to take this up with AmScope, I called to get a refund on shipping and was denied the refund because the customer service rep says they are closed on the weekend. While that might be true for the store, I always thought warehouses for various companies operated continuously, especially during holidays. AmScope should state that they have no warehouse and items are directly shipped from a store! Furthermore, the store needs to improve their website so if they don’t ship on the weekends your order won’t go through! No! They just accept your shipping amount and then refuse to refund you! Horrible customer service, sarcastic customer representatives, and such a scam!!! This was my first and last time ordering from AmScope! The one good review I read must have been written by a staff member/manager/owner to keep their store from looking totally criminal! I’m a ticked off customer!!!!!!!

I bought a microscope on 6th of November. No delivery. Ignored emails/ do not answer phone. Only got back to me when I reported them to the bank and threatened to report them to the police.
They are still looking for excuses but Im not going to let it go.

Worst customer service! Never receive a response, they don't answer the phone, don't call back after you leave a message, don't respond to email or messages via their website. I emailed numerous time re:missing item in my $400 microscope order. Haven't heard back.

Customer service .. wow!.. is it me or have standards dropped considerably this decade .
Can't believe the how inexperienced and frankly unqualified they are ..in dealing with disgruntled customers.
Seems like the script for dealing with complaints is to persistently ask for information which I might add is in my case already given . They then insist I do a step by step procedure which is humiliating! To eventually give them the same info I had originally given.
Then when challenged they twist it around and insist you send them unreasonable proof of defect ... and I believe this is to wear down the customer so they eventually back off .
I am apauled with how "Maria" who told me I was to take into account she single handedly is dealing with everyone's issues and mine is no priority in so many words. .. (thats encouraging!) and I should be understanding of this . Very unprofessional!
AMScope are a shining example of whats wrong with the consumer on line shopping sham trend.
Not only will I not buy from them again.
The reason I don't send the scope back. I am not going to put myself through the return process as I have Zero faith in there procedures.. and the stress of it who needs it .
No response from Customer service
We received an item which was damaged. Have tried phoning them twice, have emailed them three times and sent photos of damage. To date nothing. No email response regarding how they will deal with this and no one ever on the end of the phone. This is appalling. Hope we get this sorted to our satisfaction, but will never buy from this company again.
terrible customer service policies
I bought the scope from them directly using my company's address, which is in a office complex. They use Fedex to deliver their orders. I contacted them for not receiving my order, they told me to check with Fedex, which told me that they delivered, but with a signature of someone but me. Amscope refused to refund me, claiming the order was delivered, not answering my question that why they did not require or check my signature, or they should resolve it between them and Fedex. I had to use my credit card's insurance to get reimbursed. 1 month later the box was found outside our office, so obviously Fedex delivered to wrong address and our neighbor found out and sent it to us. During the process Amscope behaved with arrogance and ignorance, they knew it, but they will not resolve issues for customers. BTW on market there are tons of scopes with displays which is so much better at less than 1/2 price. They should be out of business very soon, they do not deserve to be still in business.
Never received my ordered product
I can’t review for something I never received I ask for my money back but I’ve never heard from anyone I’ve emailed Amscope and UPS and no one will talk to me so I may never get my money back but for sure I won’t be doing anything from this company
Avoid ordering from AmScope
I've had the most stressful experience with AmScope. I made an order a month before Christmas for my nephew and this was delivered to my local store rather than my property and I wasn't sent any notifications to make me aware. The store said they do not have my package so I have been charged for an item I didn't recieve and the number to contact AmScope isn't working. Avoid at all costs.

Curious website there amscope.uk subsidiary. I placed an order using there online payment method which shows debit card icons and clearly states they accept debit cards. The payment left my account and I looked forward to getting my child's microscope in good time for Xmas. 2 weeks passed and I had to email to ask where was my order. I got a email back saying payment was rejected. the reason appears to be, they do not accept debit cards, just credit cards, PayPal and wire transfer. The experience was annoying as the checkout says they accept debit cards like 99.9% of retailers, even taxi drivers take debit cards and I'm not leaving the security which this provides for my account. I would of left a better review if they emailed to tell me my order was refunded and cancelled, but no I had to chase it up myself, luckily I hadn't left it too close to Xmas to get a replacement. This needs sorting, it's not very hard to sort this out and raises an eyebrow as to why debit cards are not accepted. It's weird.
Superb service, excellent price / performance ratio

Free shipping within Europe on a 25Kg microscope is excellent and saves approximately 500USD from US or China. I ordered a 3.5X-90X Simul-Focal Stereo Microscope (SM-4NTPZ-3PL) and it is an excellent device for an electronics laboratory. One can solder using the stereo eyepieces and simultaneously inspect using the camera. Please work on VAT free shipping to Switzerland, I had to pay both Dutch VAT of 19% plus 7.7% Swiss VAT (total 26.7% VAT) instead of 7.7%. There is no possibility of VAT refund from the Netherlands on a non-company purchase. The product still represents good value even with the unnecessary VAT payment.
It only worked with Windows 7
I spent 4 hours trying to get the software to work. Eventually it did. The microscope camera worked well with Windows 7 but would not work with Windows 8, 10 or 11. I contacted Amscope and they suggested that I try other software. I tried all their suggestions but none of them worked. I called my computer maker Dell who were helpful but failed to get it working. The hardware/software combination had not been designed to be compatible with more than one Windows generation. I really hate throwing away a $144 camera just because Amscope have not produced compatible software. Their view was "it is an old model". My view is that I will not buy anything from Amscope again because their business model is "throw it away and buy our latest microscope" and presumably that attitude still applies to their current microscopes.

Attempted to purchase a microscope from their website, they were blowing up my inbox with the coupon code "FALL15" for 15% off if i ordered by the first. It was also a huge banner on their website. "save 15% with code fall15. attempted to use the coupon code..... "invalid" it says. Called customer service........ E-mail us a screenshot and we will fix it...... days go by, no fix, but the coupon banner is now off the website. Email again, "just buy it and we will figure it out" they say. Right, i cant get anyone on the phone anymore, cant get replies to e-mails anymore, yet i am just supposed to spend $1200 in hopes that they can fix it after i order. What a joke this company is.
You've been warned. Buy a different brand, from a different company.
I was sent 2 useless microscope…
I was sent 2 useless microscope darkfield condensers that will never work no matter what. Amscope (china) also has a useless customer service that just blatantly lie about faulty products being good, even when you send proof they will not accept their parts are useless or faulty. I bought another from the UK and that too was faulty. I'm out of pocket £450 on this alone. Don't waste your time or money to these lying thieves. I will never use Amscope again and i'm having to sell their useless and overpriced T720Q microscope at another loss. I've since bought a Leica DM2000 that actually works very well w/o problems.

Microscopes are fine but...
Microscopes are not sophisticated although fine for everyday use if you don't do much high magnification/oil immersion work, but do not buy any accessories unless there is free postage. Items are shipped from Netherlands at ridiculous cost.

Missing in the shipment / no contact
On 22/12/2016 I received some cameras I had purchased from AmScope, including 5 pcs MU500B of $ 159.98 per piece. - When the package emerged, it was wrapped up in UPS center along with a UPS employee where we saw that was missing 2 pieces MU500B. There were photo taken the package and the information was sent to AmScope. After numerous inquiries where AmScope either phoned or written back, we must note the company is frivolous and we must go directly to PayPal to get our debt back.
