I recently purchased a property at Avant Homes Hackett Grange development. After visiting most (if not, all) other new build developments in Nottingham, this development not only met my criteria but the customer service I received from Keiran was second to none all throughout!

Keiran is very passionate about his role and genuinely cares about you, your home, your requirements and will do everything he can to make the process of buying a new home as smooth-sailing as possible - this was particularly important for me as a first time buyer. Keiran is kind, honest, approachable and knowledgeable with significant experience - which are exactly the qualities you want in a sales advisor when making such a big investment. Keiran's communication is clear and prompt, with regular weekly updates on build progress.

I would also like to mention Laura Davies and Zehra the sales manager who were also incredible throughout and worked to ensure we were able to overcome any hurdles.

The site team work efficiently and in my experiences, to a very good standard. The aftercare so far has been great too. Tracy is very efficient at organising visits to view and organise repairs of any snags.

I would highly recommend considering this development and Keiran as your sales advisor for a positive experience - I recommended a friend who purchased a property have also had a similar experience to myself. Thank you to all at Hackett Grange.

Andy the joiner has been to us a few times to do snagging repairs. He is friendly, good at his job and makes sure the place is spotless after. He is a real asset to Avant homes.

Kieran at Hackett Grange was very helpful from the beginning. As first time buyers, we had many questions but he was very helpful all the way through. He was also exceptionally well with our little one and she enjoyed the visit as much as we did

What we didn’t like - want to see at Walt 1 sample house but didn’t get to see any, we were told non were available as a show house

She has provided us with plenty of information throughout the process of viewing different plots which helped us make an informed decision when reserving. My experience with avant wasn’t too good until I got in touch with Shelby. I was told numerous times that I would be called back etc by other team members but that never happened. But Shelby went over and above to help me out and got me information I needed quickly with moving house. You are a great representative of your company Shelby, thank you again.

Their workmen are highly skilled, kindhearted and efficient. Andy Jones and Paul Weatherston attended my home recently to do some repair works and they were nothing short of excellent.

We could not fault the sales team, they provided clear updates and we very professional throughout. Since moving in is where the experience really changed, instantly fell into multiple issues and they continued to grow over time. A lot of the issues were cosmetic, which you may expect but we had some plumbing issues that we would consider a major issues especially as these had passed through quality control. When we first moved in the Site Manager handled these issues really well but when they felt these were 'resolved', customer service went dark. We have had several e-mails not acknowledged and no resolution sorted for a large proportion of these issues, with new ones added including fascia issues which we noticed once it rained potentially leading to damp in the future if not resolved. Only reason this is not a 1 star is for the Sales Team, they have been significantly let down by the after care team.

Sarah was extremely rude and unprofessional. We were repeatedly given inaccurate information which caused nothing but frustration and wasted our time. Despite raising concerns, nothing seemed to be done to address the issues. The whole experience was handled poorly and has left our family extremely disappointed. Customer service should be built on honesty, respect, and clear communication, and unfortunately none of those were shown in our dealings with Sarah as she had no interest whatsoever. Absolutely poor customer service

Katie at Altofts Acres has been so helpful in my home buying journey, I have received regular updates from her about the property and whenever I have been to see Katie at the site she is always so friendly and welcoming.

Dangerously unlevel garden roof dripping floors replaced repaired still awful broken bricks paint all over woodwork dripping roof and gutterings over 100 calls in excess of 50 visits and multiple other issues including both bathrooms leaking washer dryer not working 9 months in still all of the above outstanding so many repairs carried out and still not sorted all issues present on the day we moved in

I have been trying for SIX WEEKS to get a complaint escalated after contractors didn’t show up. I received an accusatory email and yet another attempt to get decorators out to the house, despite their needing work done that will require a painter afterwards - a waste of my own time and the decorators time. I have asked six separate times to have my complaint taken further and yet not a single thing has been done to this effect. I phoned the call centre last week, after being promised contact that didn’t happen, and was again promised a call today. I got an email 15 minutes before the call centre closed today to say that they’ve booked in a THIRD walk through in the space of 2 months. WHAT IS THE POINT?? On top of this, they had no idea who was supposed to be calling me. They only emailed me today in response to the email I sent back after being accused of damaging my own home. Why can’t you just do as you say? So now, after waiting all day for another call that hasn’t happened, I am still no further forward. It is absolutely impossible to get anywhere with Avant. The contractors either don’t show up or don’t complete the work. Worse yet, they try to hide the previous terrible work and call it a day. We’d be here all day if I listed every time we’d been let down by Avant. But it’s getting to the point where I have the time. Avant take your money and run. They have completely ruined the experience of buying our first home.

Extremely disappointing experience with Avant Homes.

I am absolutely shocked and disappointed by the lack of communication, the standard of workmanship and the way our snagging issues have been handled.

We purchased a brand-new home and expected a high standard of workmanship and customer care. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience at all. We are still waiting for numerous snagging issues to be completed, despite these being raised some time ago. Communication has been extremely poor, and we have repeatedly been left chasing for updates and trying to arrange contractors ourselves.

The work recently carried out on our windowsills is particularly shocking. The finish is completely unacceptable, with massive, obvious gaps between the walls and the sills. This is supposed to be a brand-new home, yet the workmanship looks rushed and unfinished. I honestly cannot understand how this standard of work has been considered acceptable.

What should have been an exciting and enjoyable experience of moving into our new home has instead become incredibly stressful and frustrating. We have spent a huge amount of money on this house and should not have to constantly chase to get basic snagging issues resolved.

The worst part is that I now feel embarrassed having people come to my home because of the unfinished work and the poor standard of some of the repairs. That is not how anyone should feel about their brand-new home.

Avant Homes need to seriously improve their communication, customer service and, most importantly, the standard of workmanship. A new-build home should not be left in this condition, and customers should not have to repeatedly chase for issues to be addressed.

Extremely disappointing. I would not recommend Avant Homes based on our experience so far.

Very disappointing experience with Avant Homes — Odette’s Point, Keighley

I was a genuine and serious prospective buyer interested in purchasing a property at Odette’s Point keighley. Unfortunately, my experience with Avant Homes was extremely disappointing, and I would personally advise other prospective buyers to proceed with caution.

Throughout my dealings with the sales team, I received information that, from my perspective, was inconsistent and contradictory. I felt that I was repeatedly delayed and that this ultimately prevented me from reserving a property I was seriously considering purchasing.

I am particularly concerned about my dealings with a sales representative named Sarah. When I spoke with Sarah on the day I was attempting to make the reservation, I felt that her manner was unprofessional and that her tone was intimidating. This was particularly disappointing given that I was a serious buyer who was trying to proceed with a property purchase.

On the same occasion, I was told that the police would be contacted, which I found concerning and intimidating in the circumstances.

I also have a serious concern regarding an interaction in which I believe the representative presented herself as another person. I am stating this as my recollection of what happened and would welcome Avant Homes reviewing the relevant records and communications.

I felt that I was not treated fairly or professionally and that the way the situation was handled prevented me from progressing with a purchase.

There are plenty of houses and developers to choose from, and ultimately I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I would rather purchase from a company where I feel prospective customers are treated professionally, communicated with clearly, and can have confidence in the information they are given.

Taking everything I experienced into account, I have personally lost confidence in Avant Homes as a business and have decided that I do not want to proceed with them. I will take my business elsewhere, where I hope to deal with people and a company that I find more professional, transparent and reliable.

I hope those who have purchased at Shann Park have a much more positive experience. Unfortunately, my own experience has left me with serious concerns about the way I was treated as a prospective buyer.

For me, this experience has been enough to walk away from Avant Homes altogether.
