I collected my new distance glasses on Wednesday 14th Jan having chosen frames on 7th.
I fully expected to have my sight tested with the new glasses as I have been wearing hard contact lenses for about 17years as i have Keratoconus. I was told that once the glasses prescription has been made up there was no need to check vision, as this was not policy. Having not worn distance glasses for above time I would have thought that consideration would have been given to this.
Fortunately my optometrist had a gap in her diary and I was able to have my distance vision checked with my new glasses and everything was OK.
Whilst I accept that the policy of not needing to have the prescription checked is standard I would have thought that extra consideration be given and allowances made to those with long standing eye.

My experience with the optician for my eye check up was second to none.

The adjustment to my glasses however was a different story.
My glasses were adjusted on my first visit, but they were uncomfortable so I returned two days later.
After adjusting my glasses twice my right lens was damaged with the heat, but the glasses were given back to me to leave.
I noticed there was a mark and pointed this out.
Only then did the glasses adjuster admit to damaging the lens.
I was told it would take 7-10 days for the replacement lens to arrive and I would not be charged, which I did not expect to have to pay anyway.

I visited Bayfields Camberley Audiology department.
I had my hearing test with Sarah who was amazing. She explained everything so well and was so knowledgeable. Sarah gave honest advice.
My next visit was with James to fit my hearing aids. James too was amazing and gave great advice about what to do and expect from the hearing aids.
Everyone at Bayfields were lovely. Lucy welcomed us when we arrived and the lady on reception, sorry I didn't catch your name, was lovely too.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to them.

I am always happy with the annual eye test. I am kept fully informed on the state of my eyes and when I need a new prescription.

Excellent service. Everything was explained very clearly to me by my optician. Prompt and very efficient.

Rang to ask advice about husband’s hearing aids, they said bring them in and we will check them out for you. Done and collected same day.

They sent an e mail to say the audiologist needs to see me ,I also need to see her. Unfortunately I’m in hospital and recovering from a major operation and am unable to able to make an appointment at the moment but would like Camberley branch to know the circumstances and to know I’m not ignoring them.

This was a follow up appointment which occurs every 6 months regarding my hearing aids.
I have been a client of this company for many years and always found them to be professional and polite and are happy to explain any procedure used during a visit.

We visited Andrew (who is brilliant) at Camberley and he restored our faith in going to a professional optician after a disastrous incident in another optician's beforehand! Everybody is lovely at this optician's, we will be back!
