Beacon CHC Reviews 

We used Beacon CHC to provide the best chance of obtaining an accurate DST for our mother. It is our belief that this was fully realised. Though we do not know the final decision yet, the process as handled by one of Beacon's lawyers, demonstrated maximum professionalism. We felt the price was sensible for the work done. We also felt guided and cared for. Regardless of the final decision, we are absolutely sure that the DST was accurate.

It's very misleadi g because it implies Beacon is FREE.
ITS NOT FREE IS IT !

Beacon have been helpful and supported me in a professional manner during my mother's assessment for continuing healthcare and with preparation for the assessment. They made sure the assessment was a fair process with the required people in attendance.

Beacon are fantastic, they helped us navigate an awful local CHC who broke the law, failed to follow the National Framework and procedure at any point. Prior to contacting Beacon we were being bullied and lied to at every opportunity. The CHC even tried to complete a checklist without our involvement! Beacon put a stop to their scandalous unacceptable behaviour and attended our DST assessment where we were awarded Continuing Healthcare. Their team from telephone to admin to advocates are amazing, friendly and invaluable. Thank you! ! !

I purchased a one hour consultation after an initial telephone chat to discuss in detail the Continuing Healthcare Assessment Checklist. Very useful, very informative discussion. It helped me tremendously to be more specific in my approach to completing the checklist when meeting with the clinician.

The most useful resource I found by far. Lady who assisted me was fantastic and gave me loads of very pertinent and specific info which I used to then help with both the care company submission (which the nhs woman said was the best she had seen) and my own submission! Very knowledgeable and sympathetic staff at Beacon. Really helped me through the whole NHS CC assessment as they have such broad experience. I would highly recommend Beacon to help you navigate the whole NHS CC process.

Contacted this company because the NHS website suggests this for further advice about Continuing Healthcare. The representative was knowledgeable but unbelievably rude and condescending. Definitely would not recommend contacting this company.

Following my review, I was contacted by a member of Beacon, who was very apologetic about the treatment I received from the previous representative. This colleague listened to my concerns and took time to explain what I needed to know about Continuing Healthcare. They have promised to investigate the previous negative experience I had with the company. I do hope that is the case because I would not want anyone else to be spoken to in the manner I was, especially at a traumatic moment in time.

Beacon is a great place to start if you are struggling with the Continuing Health Care system and need support and or representation.

I was contacted in a timely manner after my enquiry and they were extremely knowledgeable and gave lots of advise.

I decided to continue to use the paid for service and I was not disappointed. The care that was taken over researching the case history and quality of the representation in the Decision Support Tool meeting was outstanding and well worth the money.

The outcome was positive and may well have been without the representation but the knowledge that my Advocate was there to ensure due process was followed was worth its weight in gold.

We were dealt with in a throughly sensitive and professional manner. Pre-meeting preparation prepared us with a realistic expectation of outcome and process. The actual review meeting was conducted skilfully and represented our case expertly. We could not have done this ourselves and achieved the outcome we did. Thank you.

I felt the support from beacon was good. The caseworker was helpful and supported me in the assessment meeting, I was glad she was present.
She did well in the meeting considering the circumstances of these types of meeting.

The advocate assigned to my case was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The pre-meeting enabled the advocate to guide me as to what to focus on for the actual meeting itself. I was also able to ask questions about what I was concerned about. I was then able to prepare thoroughly and felt as confident as possible for the meeting. During the actual meeting, the advocate prompted me with points that I had forgotten. The actual meeting went well, so I was very grateful to the advocate for supporting me through the whole process. I shall definitely use them again next year.

In Dec 2020 I had a meeting with a nurse assessor at the CCG, because of Covid this was mainly over the telephone and some on a zoom meeting which kept disconnecting and cutting me out of the meeting. I won't go into details but it was the meeting from hell. I contacted Beacon after this meeting asked for help with an appeal, I was contacted by a member of the Beacon team who was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and she was there to help me through this minefield of claiming CHC for my mother.
Because of Beacon and the hard work put in by their great staff the appeal was successful and my mum has been found to be eligible for CHC from the original date.

The service and support was first class from the outset. Took us through the CHC funding decision making tool, advocated our case really well.

Earlier in the week I gave Beacon bad feedback due to my experience on that day. I want to say that I have had communication with Beacon since and a senior advisor was extremely helpful. Thank you very much for putting this right.

Our son who has severe autism was denied eligibility for CHC. We got in touch with Beacon. A senior advocate was allocated to our son's case. He navigated us through the Appeal process and the outcome of our son's case is overwhelmingly successful. Our beacon advocate was very efficient, reliable and knowledgeable. We were very impressed with his professionalism and clarity of thought throughout the Appeal process. We reached a very positive panel decision in just under 2 years, considering the uncertainty from Covid 19 pandemic. He also followed up on the reimbursement of our advocacy fee which was also successful.

The amount of work and patience our advocate devoted to the case were exceptional. It has made a big difference to our son's Health and Care in adult care system.

I selected the company when I realised that dealing with the public sector was not as straightforward as it should have been. The company lived up to its reputation.

I would thoroughly recommend beacon, extremely friendly supportive and had extensive knowledge of the minefield that is CHC funding. From the original assessment they were able to give a thorough breakdown and established if they could be of any assistance. They were able to explain the process in detail and the timescale that they expected before we instructed them to act on my dad's behalf. Most of all they treated my dad as a person and they help support me in the family through the process. Anyone that has been through the CHC process Will tell you it's not an easy path way but with beacons extensive knowledge and background I felt we went into the assessment on a level playing ground rather than the odds been stacked against us.
