Salesman was more interested in the sale than picking up on what we were saying had he explained that we had miss read the sale sign and the bases were not in the sale outcome might have been different.

The salesman was very helpful and informative, but not pushy, and left us to ponder. He told us the price of the bed we were interested in, and that there was a delivery charge of £40.
The delivery charge did give us pause for thought, because another retailer a few doors away was offering a similar bed for the same price, but with no delivery charge.
In the end, we decided to go with Bensons, as we felt that the quality of the bed was better. We also ordered a headboard.
When we had sat down to do the paperwork, the salesman told us that he'd forgotten to tell us that because there were two items (bed and headboard) in the order, there would be an additional delivery charge of £9. (I was too surprised to ask how much we would have had to pay if we'd ordered a mattress as well.)
As a bed often comprises two or more parts, it seems fair that the constituent parts should be delivered as a single package. Certainly, any and all delivery charges should be clarified at the start of the sales process, and not after the deal is all but complete.

Friendly service

Bought a superking sleigh bed 2 yrs ago. We moved recently and it didn't fit our new place because of the fancy headboard and footboard, so had to go back and purchase a new superking ottoman, but this time just a normal divan base ottoman, been using or old king-size ottoman in the meantime, which we also purchased from bensons a few years back. Good service from the Ipswich branch, as always. To be fair, we did pop in Dreams but didn't see anything we really liked, so worth paying a bit extra for what we required.

Clear communication about type of mattresses available. Professional and helpful assistant. She listened to our needs and found the perfect mattress for us. We are sleeping better than ever. Thankyou.
