All 5 sheer shades ordered have wrong dimensions

We purchased sheer shades from this company for the second time, this time with professional measuring and installation. Unfortunately, it turned out today that all five sheer shades are the wrong size and need to be remade. Furthermore, what was supposed to be a 12-day delivery has turned into a six-week project. Of course, remaking them would take just as long, but we're leaving in two weeks and won't be back until the end of December. Our suggestion to refund the money we've already paid and then reorder everything in December was ignored. Since all the problems are the responsibility of blinds.com and their subsidiaries, I would have expected that to be the solution. As a lot of other customers write: the service is terrible. Therefore, a clear recommendation for this company: be careful.

Expensive Blinds, Cheap Customer Support

Extremely disappointed with Blinds.com and the way they handle product failures.

A few years ago I spent hundreds of dollars purchasing multiple blinds for our home. Recently, one of them failed because the retraction mechanism stopped working, making the blind impossible to roll back up. This is clearly a basic mechanical failure that shouldn’t happen after only a handful years.

When I contacted customer service, they refused to repair or replace the blind. Instead, I was told the color I originally purchased had been discontinued and that the only option was to replace all four blinds in the room so they would match. In other words, their solution to a defective product is simply for the customer to spend hundreds more dollars.

What made the experience worse was the complete lack of effort to resolve the issue. No reasonable accommodation, no partial replacement, no goodwill for a customer who has already spent a significant amount of money with their company. When I asked to speak with management, I was told this was impossible and they wouldn’t do anything.

It’s very concerning when a company selling products at this price point refuses to stand behind something as basic as a failed mechanism. Buyers should be aware that if something breaks after a few years, you will be told your only option is to buy everything again.

Blinds.com: if someone from corporate actually cares about customer experience, I would welcome the opportunity for you to make this right.

The ordering process was simple

The ordering process was simple. I had a few questions , so I called the number listed on the web site. A salesperson named mark was available without any delay. He was very courteous and provided helpful answers to my questions. We received the blinds a month before they were expected. Since they are easy to install, I installed them myself. They are lovely and make the room look beautiful. I will use Blinds.com again for future orders.

The blinds were well priced and perform as described. Customer support was terrible.

The blinds were priced well, and work as described. We ordered the same blinds, but in two different colors (which also happened to be slightly different thicknesses). The shipping was faster than we expected, but when the blinds came, only one color was could be installed with the supplied brackets. The other ones would not snap into place. Upon contacting customer service, I was told the factor was closed for the weekend, and they would pass the message on. By the following Tuesday, crickets. I called again. They requested photos of the blinds and brackets. I complied. Again crickets. 3 days later, I called again, they said the factory couldn't open the photos (JPG) and could I send them as PNG files. Meanwhile, I was also getting some emails from other customer support people who were suggesting that I was installing them incorrectly. Eventually the factory realized that I needed a different size bracket for the second color and sent them out. It took over a week to arrive. We had the blinds sitting here for close to a month without being able to install them. We are happy with the blinds, but customer support was terrible, and will probably be the deciding factor if we need to order blinds again.

Incorrect installation was not fixed

First off, I love the blinds. We purchased 9 of the roller shades. We also paid extra for them to be installed. One was installed incorrectly and will not move. Customer service tried to help over a few months. Over several communications I received various pictures and videos to diagnose the problem as well directions how to INSTALL blinds. I'm afraid I will break the blinds and be out of luck. So, after months, I still have one blind that has never worked.

lack of accountability with a malfunctioning new purchase

I have ordered many blinds from this site and had good luck. However, my most recent purchase is defective and I have sent video of the issues to blinds.com with little helpful response. I have called twice, emailed multiple times and keep getting irrelevant videos of a "way to repair the blind." I have asked for a refund or remake and not gotten a response. I have spent thousands of dollars on blinds from this site in the past, and now this issue will defer me from ever shopping with them again. I am very disappointed.

Disappointed

Have used Blinds.com for several years. Each time had an excellent experience....even used their SureFit Guarantee for a mismeasured order I did. Just now, had a bad experience. Called for replacement brackets on shade I bought due to new windows being installed. I'm not looking for anything free, just the parts. Found that their policy is to not sell parts after a 3 year warranty period. WHY?? No service after the sale?? Seems ridiculous not to take advantage of sales for folks just looking for parts from the seller purchased from. Rep even went so far as to say she was sorry and hates telling customers that fact. That shows there's a market for parts sales. To add insult to injury, my order was made 2/11/23...I called 3/4/26...not even a month after "expiration ". This is enough to make me look elsewhere for my window needs. As I said, just put new windows in....will need treatments. Plenty of other outlets. Blinds.com prices have also risen. Perhaps parts sales would help keep prices down?????

Wrong size, no support

The blinds i ordered were cut to the wrong size and didnt fit. Ive spent months trying to get these replaced. Ive sent many emails with photos and videos that they stop responding to. When I call they act link its the first time. Ive talked to many customer service reps on the phone and still no blinds or refund. I will never order from blinds.com again.

Overall excellent experience

Overall excellent experience. The shades were easy to install. We opted for the better quality cordless shades and after a few months of use very satisfied with their overall performance. Well worth their additional cost. We also purchased a motorized shade for a transom window which was a very good plan. A the touch of a button we can raise or lower the shade that is out of reach with no cords hanging down. Top Quality product. The order took a few weeks to process which is to be expected when ordering quality products.
