Johnson Health Tech recently acquired Bowflex, and some of their SelectTech dumbbell models are now under recall. I purchased mine in 2022 for $438, making me eligible. I submitted a recall ticket and received a confirmation email, but it was unclear that I’d have to manually check back for status updates — no proactive communication was provided.

When I eventually checked, the system falsely showed that a prepaid return box had been “delivered.” (Side note: They require you to send back the bases and handles, and from what I gather from other customers’ complaints, apparently they then lowball you and the refund/credit they offer is insultingly low at $25–$60. I never even got that far because Bowflex failed at the first step — providing the return box.)

When I contacted support, they took nine days to reply with a generic message, closed out my ticket, and gave me a FedEx tracking number that wasn’t valid. After I pointed this out, their only response was: “We have already provided you with the steps to track the pre-paid box.” The tracking number still doesn’t work, and my ticket was marked closed.

This recall involves customer safety, yet Bowflex’s process has been slow, dismissive, and unhelpful. If this is a reflection of where the company is headed, I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere — Bowflex makes customers jump through hoops without offering real solutions or accountability when something goes wrong.

Easy process..

So far so good at this point, I will give a much better review once I receive my product.

The instructions provided were clear and detailed.

Salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. Process took minimal time. Delivery and installation process seems reasonable under the circumstances. Delivery an set up times seem reasonable as well.

I thought product came with monitor and tried to cancel immediately and I’m getting the run around . I just wanted to cancel five minutes later when I realized it did not come with this

Wanted Bowflex 550 adjustable replacement dumbbells to replace the ones I sent back due to recall but the amount was only $125 for something I spent ~$400. They said rebate was prorated!

Ordered from the website and the website was easy to navigate and to check out.

Cant say anything done was great. They did a great job at taking my money.

I don't even have the entire order yet and your asking for my opinion.
