TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CANCELED ORDERS
I placed 3 orders. I am Canadian so I ship to a US address, meaning my billing and shipping are different.
ONE ORDER SHIPPED. TWO ORDERS GOT CANCELLED. when I call and speak to a manager, it's because the ADDRESSES DON'T MATCH. and she said she can't do anything about it.
so I can never buy a present for someone and ship directly to them? I can never ship to a PO box?! HOW IS THIS OKAY BUSINESS PRACTICE?

Wish I could give them 0 stars! They sent me my item and it was broken into 10 pieces. I contacted them and my item is now completely out of stock so they offered for me to get a different item. Why would I order another item if my first item came in 10 pieces?? I will never order from them again. Very disappointed.

Treated horribly at the OKC store. Employees are on power trips and harass customers. Very rude and disrespectful. I was yelled at because my mask wasn’t “high enough on my nose”. When I decided to just leave, the employee became aggressive. Worst customer service ever.

The first order took forever to be…
The first order took forever to be delivered to the store. I was able to pick up item from The Premiter Mall without a problem. When I ordered the second item had it shipped to the store they gave me 7 days. I work Monday through Friday 6am to 9pm. On the 7th day they canceled the order. Mind you the mall doesn't open till 12 pm on Sunday. I was on my way to pick it up when they emailed me it was canceled. Now I have to wait 4 to 7 days to get my money back. This is not how you do business. I only dealt with them because my 9 year old grandchildren wanted these items very disappointed.
Treated horribly at BoxLunch Mall of Georgia
I would give zero stars if possible. Tried to quietly discuss with the "mask bouncer" at the front door my situation. I wear hearing aids and anything around or near my ears/neck cause interference and when my daughter is with me, I use her to communicate back to me by reading lips. Therefore she does not mask while assisting me. The employee claimed she would ask the manager and then abruptly returned and just said "he said no". As I quietly(without making a scene) told her that it was against the ADA to deny us access to a place that is open to the public (as long as we weren't braking laws..btw,masks are NOT a law, it's a suggestion), the little "manager" came out. I told him he needed to come closer as I could not hear him so he took one step outside the store and then REMOVED HIS MASK two feet away from the door?!?!? OK...so the "virus" stops at that very spot? He then talked down to me and said that if I needed private shopping time he would call regional manager and get special permission to shut the store down just for me. Seriously dude? After that he says to me "well, I can't hear very well with these on either" Really dude?? So imagine if you have only 30% hearing(pre-corona days) and now everyone is muffled and you only lip read. As he started to walk away I asked for his name and get this, he put his mask BACK ON and mumbled something because he knew I couldn’t understand him and then went back in the store. I have never been treated like this and made to feel to worthless. This store is a huge disappointment and we will never set foot in again. On another note, the other stores throughout the mall very understanding and had no problem with us shopping mask free and that is who got my money today. Do better Boxlunch.
Order Got Cancelled For No Reason
First order went through fine. However, when it came to the second order, it got cancelled. Apparently, this is a common thing for Box Lunch to do and there is a 50/50 chance that you'll even get an order through in the first place.

Extremely Creepy Employee!!!
I've been to Boxlunch a bunch of times before but I've never met this super creepy and rude lady before. I think she's new but I don't plan on going back to that specific Boxlunch store again! She even made my grandmother creeped out and angry. This employee wouldn't stop staring at either of us, if she wasn't staring at me she was staring down my grandmother and that's what really got me. It's very unfortunate because I've had a lot of good experiences there with the employees but this new lady just absolutely ruined it for me, I'm not going back I'm just going to do my business somewhere else.

BUYER BEWARE! Do not buy anything unless you are willing to be tortured by unscrupulous business practices designed to make it difficult, if not impossible, to return an item. I ordered two shirts before Christmas and realized the same day I wanted to cancel the order. I was told they “cannot”cancel an order because it’s in the “warehouse.” In other words, the consumer must pay for an item they DO NOT want, wait for it to arrive...ok and that’s not the worst of it.....drum roll...Once the item is received you must wait up to 30 days for refund. I returned the purchase on Dec 23rd and a month later still have not received a refund. I have tracking to prove it was received on Dec. 26. I called and was laughed at by customer service rep who asked why I bought something if I didn’t want it!!!
I’m making a complaint to the Better a Business Bureau and ask that everyone else do the same!

I placed an order online using reward* points for 1/2 of an order I wanted to place. When I tried to place the second 1/2 of my order using my 'coupons' I was told I could not redeem 'coupons' on that product even though the product had no other promotions to it and was a full-priced product. They website 'claims' you can cancel your order within 30 minutes but that is a TOTAL lie. I tried MULTIPLE times to cancel my rewards* order and then attempted to contact customer service who then told me that they COULD NOT cancel the order either??!!!??? Since when has a customer service department (especially for an online retail) NOT been able to cancel an order? Um, never until BoxLunch!
So now I have a product that is useless without the other half of it and I cant even return or refund it because I didn't pay for it with *paper* money.
This is not my first rodeo with BoxLunch's horrible business practices but it WILL be my LAST!
These people are complete crooks!

Box Lunch is a great place. I like the fact that every $1 you spend buys a meal for Feed America. They carry a lot of things that you would find at Hop Topic.
The worst standard of business; disrespect
How do stores like this stay in business? Made an online order for Three items. Two items shipped and my PayPal transaction was “completed”. Four days later I receive an email that my Third item could not be fulfilled. Since it was PayPal, I had to receive a refund. The refund was only for 2/3 of the item’s cost. When I contacted Box Lunch some hipster named Rex or Beach or something gave me a garbage response claiming credit card payments are not charged, and to contact my credit card company for any issues, and a bunch of BS that did not make sense. I paid using PayPal, using PayPal Cash Plus Balance, No Credit Card even on my PayPal account lol. Basically, Box Lunch is as close to a sham of a company that Hot Topic uses to upsell cheap products they can not sell in their stores. I wish I would have read reviews of their business before wasting my money.
I order items for Christmas
I order items for Christmas, when ordering it stated estimated arrival 18th-20th, it is the 24th, and I'm waiting for the store to tell me they have received the items. It is 3pm, and the store closes at 6pm. I'm trying to make Christmas dinner, as I checked every minute for an update!! I have no present for my son, totally disappointed and tomorrow wondering how I will explain it to my son!!! Never again!!

If it was even possible to give a -5 star rating i would. Placed order on 11/25. waited proper time 2 weeks later, package lost, asked for refund waited 2 week again and tells me my refund was never placed then they tell me they are refunding me my full amount It is now12/20 and my amount order was 132.27 they refunded me 121.77. When asked about it they were unable to compensate nor give me my 10.50 they owe me due to seasonal taxes Asked to receive a code or gift card or store credit and floor supervisor says they were unable to do so at this time. Asked to speak to supervisor and they were "unable to speak to me due to 1045pm at night central time for me." I have to call back in the morning to speak to someone yet again to see if they can even give that back to me. This literally has to do with the company end and business management and your tell me you can't even give me my full amount for items I NEVER RECEIVED. But you sure HAVE NO PROBLEM TAKING MY MONEY AND CANNOT EVEN GIVE ME MY FULL AMOUNT BACK. Never in my life have i had this much trouble with a company and as much as i shop there you would think that's the least you can do for this HELL Hole.

Terrible online order experience
I ordered a board game from them for in store pick-up a while ago and A MONTH after I had placed my order the order tracking on the website still said "processing". Then a few days ago I got an e-mail saying the item had "sold-out" and they were cancelling my order. Except I listened to my voicemails from a week ago and found out that my order had arrived in the store for pick-up a few days after I placed my order but I never got an e-mail to go pick it up. Terrible communication.
WORST COMPANY EVER
WORST COMPANY EVER. Attempted to return a $250 Funko order due to the damaged packaging using the return label provided with the package. Weeks later, I have not received a refund. I tried contacting their customer service, who claims my package was lost, when the tracking number says it was delivered. Horrible company never doing business with them again.
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
So I live in AK and I was going to have a necklace that I wanted shipped to my P.O Box but then I decided to have it ship to my closest store because it was easier for me to do. For a while all it was telling me is that it was partially shipped so I contacted BoxLunch customer service and just got my email and HUGE thank to Alexander in customer service for his help! My package has been there since the 13 but because I never received and email telling me it was there he let me know he was going to call and inform them of the situation. I’m so thankful for their WONDERFUL customer service!!

Within a six week period I placed three orders with Boxlunch and one order with Hot Topic spending $1325.51 in all. My orders consisted of all Loungefly Disney bags that I purchased for Christmas gifts. For these orders I used an Ebates credit card along with their app for the cash back bonus. The last order I placed was the true bonus order. I used the cash back bonus that I received from Boxlunch, so truly saving $$.
Last week I tried to place orders on both Hot Topic and Boxlunch, and continued to receive messages informing me I was no longer allowed to purchase anything online due to the cash back rewards used by all sources. I was truly in disbelief.
This company has no idea how to appreciate the revenue that comes in from customers who have invested their time, effort and money spent on them. I will never spend another dime with any of the affiliates under Sycamore Partners. My guess is they will crumble soon due to these types of business practices.
